It's not just the American accent pronunciation that's amazing, it's the way she lowers her voice and adds the subtle vocal fry effect that makes it absolutely flawless.

@@Studentofgossetno, Americans are simply a bit more extroverted as a culture. To you it may seem like performing, but really it's just that there's a certain openness in general American interactions. They tend to have a lot of energy and passion, and that is reflected in their movement and expression at any age.

Most British actors can do a decent American accent, but there’s always something tiny or underlying that isn’t quite native or natural in American English speakers. When I travel, it doesn't take long for me to subconsciously slip into the accent and speech patterns of the company I'm with. In 1998 I was on a scuba dive cruise in Australia with fellow dive tourists from around the globe. All day long I'd been conversing with people from different countries, all speaking English with their own native accents, and I'd found myself just naturally falling into their speech patterns. That evening, after the day's diving was done, we were all gathered together on deck enjoying memories of our day under the night sky, and I found myself surrounded by everyone all at once. With nowhere to hide, my only choice was to revert to my own Canadian accent. I got a lot of weird looks that night.

I remember back in 2002, when I was in Los Angeles for the first time, staying at Hollywood Hostel (awesome place btw). I'm from Sweden, and I was travelling alone, so I just kind of hung out and talked to whoever was around.
On day five a guy from Norway and a guy from Denmark showed up, and we wound up sitting out on the patio playing guitar and talking (Danes, Norwegians and Swedes can sort of understand each other, at least enough to make light conversation).
One of the guys on the staff, who I had been hanging out with quite a bit, came out and was just staring at me.
    I went "What...?"
And he went "Where the fuck are you from??"
    "I'm from Sweden."
"I seriously thought you were from southern California!"
I always knew my english was good, but now I also know where to believably fake where I'm from - if needs be. :-)

Hound19745 Strange question to that anecdote.... No, I didn't. But then again getting laid wasn't really a priority for me with that trip.
I had basically emptied my savings to spend two weeks seeing LA and San Francisco.
My time and money were spent on Universal Studios, Six Flags, Alcatraz, movie theatres, souvenirs and food (prioritized in that order).
Had someone offered I wouldn't have turned them down, but I was too busy with more important things to spend any time trying to get laid.
I did go to Universal a second time, with a danish girl staying at the hostel, and we had a great time going on the rides, seeing the shows etc.

British accent pronounce the "a" likes "awe," the "r" is softer, and you always pronounce the "t" really hard. So the opposite of that is the general American accent.
Its like the word better. In American accent it sounds more "beder" the British accent sounds almost like "bettawe"

I almost always know when an actor is British/Australian in real life while watching a movie. I end up looking it up during the movie to see if I'm right and I usually am. They over pronounce things and sound like they have something in their mouths it's very noticeable.

Besides her and a few others, when it comes down to people trying a general American accent they tend to be somewhat too precise in that the way they speak and the words they use are almost too choppy in conversation where as the way some Americans speak is very relaxed and we incorporate alot of shorterned words and slang and the convo flows easier.
