    With all the rabaconda comments you would think I'd be sponsored by them lol. Guys, there is always a better tool out there. I have to reeeeeaaaally prioritize what tools I buy for the jobs I do the most. Sure, a tire changer would be nice but I value the space more when you consider I don't often do tires, just recently have a wave of them. I'd love a mill, better TIG, bigger lathe, paint booth, powdercoat setup, dedicated dirty room, sand blast cabinet, and many more things but I am lucky to have what I do.

    Ahh man, I've loved watching this because it reminds me of all the work I did on my XS250. I also made delron inserts for the footpeg brackets, and the handlebar clamps too. The original rubber mounts on both were sloooopppyyy....

    Ok Ok Ok. I am impressed. Yep. This video is incredible. Thank you for sharing this. Inspirational. My update: Finally 'cleaning up' my bike. Crazy but it's much cleaner than I originally thought. The rubber in the petcock is brand new, is marked with a red dot ~ rebuilt? ~ and the tank is not bad with some not so bad gas that I drained out. This is the container find ~ the cb750 ~ has a West Virginia inspection sticker from 2007 ~ my hopes for a clean start with a new battery and air filter with a complete new lock set? (No key and no title) ~ Maybe bypass the carburetor rebuild. Not sure. Anyway. Nothing but respect and awe ~ You have mad skills and so creative. Keep the faith man. Thank you.

    Nice building again i have my Yamaha still waiting on my motivation to start it.
    My friend who builds exhausts for living said that it would be crucial for the welder to put some welding gas inside the pipe when you use a tig you can mig without gas inside the exhaust but tig is a different thing. he said the seams are much better that way also from the inside. The same applies if you're tig welding a gas tank.

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What your friend is referring to is welding stainless. You need to backpurge when welding stainless as to not contaminate the weld area and cause crystallization. Mig or tig welding steel doesn't matter.

    When shaping the epoxy (or bondo or whatever) first use 120 grit, then when the shape is how you want it so 1 220 grit run over it, lastly to get to hard to reach spot, corners and so on, use a red scotch (about 350 grit) to matten everything down. Done!
