  • In this video I show you the construction of a motorcycle frame, the original was so badly damaged that this had to be completely rebuilt.
    You can find the first part here: • Building a motorcycle ...
    and the second one here: • Building a motorcycle ...
    Also in this video I use mainly standard tools that should be found in most metal workshops.
    The frame is built from chromo steel ( 25CrMo4 )
    This is not a complete motorcycle project, but I show you the interesting fabrication steps.
    Have fun watching.

      I'm building this frame for a good friend, he's restoring this race bike, but I think I can certainly take some shots when it's done.
      I have also built the frame as an exercise (the last is already a little longer ago) because there is soon a complete project, for which a frame must also be built, but this time no replica, but something of their own.

    Anyone recommend a welder for a beginner to use to learn how to weld bike frames? I want to weld together a bicycle frame that will be able to withstand a Harbor Freight Predator 212cc motor. Any tips would be appreciated. I havent done my research yet since I just thought about it wanting to make one now after watching some welding and bike frame videos.. They were either welding a motorocycle frame or a bicycle frame, but not a bicycle frame that would have a motor on it. From what I'm told a bicycle frame can easily handle smaller motors like 80cc.. but many arent sure about how long a bicycle frame will hold up to a 212cc motor. So I'm wonder if its worth me even buying this expensive bicycle or just start learning now and try to build my own frame with thicker steel/aluminum.

    • @KRTframework
      @KRTframework  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Get a tig welder, it's a little harder to learn, but if you can do it, you can weld many materials, and it's clean and doesn't make a mess.

    • @KRTframework

      it is for the gas flow, and when I weld a pipe, the air in it heats up and expands, this must be able to escape, otherwise it damages the weld seam during welding

      I find TIG soldering very interesting, ( the Harrys frames are beautiful ) but do not yet have enough practice to do this on a main frame, but am already practicing diligently.
