- Amazing safaris do not always have to be expensive and because my parent in-laws wanted to experience something more authentic we took them to one of our favorite safari camp which is Tulia Amboseli.

In maybe -79 when we lived in Kenya we saw a heard of 400 elephants in Amboseli, times has changed.
There are still hundreds of them. I depend son the time of the year mainly.
There still a lot of them but drought and people have affected their numbers.

Key elephant ranges include Tsavo Ecosystem, hosting approximately 41% of the elephant population, Laikipia-Samburu (19%), Aberdare Ecosystem (11%), Masai Mara Ecosystem (7%), Mount Kenya Ecosystem (5.3%), Amboseli Ecosystem (5.2%), Meru Ecosystem (3%) and Mau Ecosystem (2.6%

I'm a tour consultant and my opinion is that Amboseli National Park is so underrated. Its potential hasn't been exploited; which I wish we did. You can't beat the self drive ability around the park.
