I captured canbus traffic using Peak PCAN-View (not with candump).. I'd love to plot as I also have a dbc file. Can I use python-can (can.logconvert) to convert the trc file to the log format, that can then be plotted using cantools? ( cat dumpfile_log | python3 -m cantools plot dbcfile ) Or thoughts on the canstream application or the online service can2sky? The latter I believe can be used to convert log to trc (but I need the other way!) I've seen mitchdetailed / Log-CANverter convert from log to csv and then plots using an external tool (MegaLogViewer HD, plotjuggler, etc)?
About to get main board for version 1.8 made when I saw this old posting with version 2.0. Cannot find how to access the files for V2.0.....can anyone help me? Cheers - Lance
A module can transmit numerous different id's so it can be difficult to work out, If you want a fast way then unplug the modules until that id disappears. that is not a great solution though as you may lose functionality and have to do resets etc. You can monitor each one whilst manipulating inputs to look for byte changes.....or if you have a quality scope you could monitor voltage signatures of the modules to look for patterns. Thats just a few ways....having a dbc file would be the ideal but they are very hard to come by .
Top stuff Glenn can't wait for mine
brilliant peace of kit Glenn
Thank you
I have the V1.0 and I’m trying to assemble the unit but I can not find any build instructions nor can I find the software. Can you please help?

How do you determine what each id represents? Pardon me if I sound silly, but I'm totally green when it comes to can message analysis.
