1991 Volvo 940 Estate 2.3i Turbo -Urban Car Company

This rare Volvo 940 Estate 2.3 Turbo is in superb condition throughout having the same owner since August 1991. The car has always been parked in a garage and has been exceptional well maintained throughout out its life by the dedicated owner who has now sadly passed away.
The car was registered on the 4th of July 1991 by Volvo Concessionaires and then sold to the last owner who purchased the on the 22nd of August 1991. The original Sales Invoice is contained within the service file and shows the car purchased from Burr Brothers Volvo for £19500 with delivery mileage only. We believe the last owner was the only user of the vehicle.
There is a file full of service history with invoices detailing the work carried out to the car over the years plus a stamped service book within the handbook pack that that also contains the owner’s manual. In the early days the car was serviced at the supplying dealer (Burr Brothers Volvo) before the customer switching to Lisles of Hitchin following the same technician who had worked on the car from new. In the later years the car was serviced at IV Services again by same technician. There 21 service stamps in the book plus an invoice for a new Timing belt (genuine Volvo Belt) fitted at 147,027 miles in June 2016. A new clutch was fitted in June 2007 at 123,500 miles. New brake discs, brake pads, brake hoses and a new battery were fitted before the recent MOT. The speedo is not working but the odometer is still recording the correct mileage.
The car has just passed an MOT (valid until 16th August 2023) and all the MOT certificates are in the file dating back to the first one in 1994. There was an advisory for slight play in steering rack. The car didn’t have an MOT in 2020 or 2021 due to the ill health of the last owner. Some old tax discs are also present.
The bodywork is generally in excellent condition with no signs of rust. There is however, two deep scratches on the off side rear quarter, damage to the off side rear light cluster, scuffing on the off side rear bumper corner. There is also sign s of a previous repair on top of the near side front wing and near side rear wheel arch. The damage is detailed in the walk round video, link below.
The interior is in excellent condition throughout.
