I feel like the anime has other magical realism slice of life plotlines, which makes heavy use of flashbacks to scenes that were already in the show. Except, they'll reflect how the character's memories have been modified

Jacob is the hardest drawfee role to categorize, and this intro really puts that into sharp relief. He is somehow both the exasperated uptight dad who wants to make good time on this road trip, but will also blurt out the dumbest derailments. He's like a superposition of Lisa and Ralph.
I feel like Jacob is the "cool" mom and Julia is the dad. I could elaborate, but I'd rather not admit how much thought I've put into this.
He is the straight man character who unavoidably gets derailed by the rest of the cast. Like Jeff on community.

@@davidprince6877 Jacob is trying to hold the family together somewhat thanklessly but when he actually has a crisis the rest of Drawfee steps in to help. He starts bits to be cool with the kids, but is exasperated at the bits they start. Julia, however, is an unbothered king and everyone wants to get on her level of cool and she's the dad with the toolbox that's a bag of holding probably. She's not aloof but she's apart, except when she's the life of the party. (I'm lookin at you, merobiba)
When he's in the episode he's the one telling the joke, when he's the host, he becomes the punchline

Idea for the lost episode: Break up the audio for each drawing and send it to artist friends and have them record a "speed draw" of them trying to draw what you created based solely on their audio track. You could insert either clips or photos of them reacting to various moments that trip them up to add to the hilarity. Imagine Spencer trying to draw Karina's drawing just by what is said while she draws. Or RubberRoss trying to figure out what Jacob did to make the group react a certain way. You then compare their drawings with your finished products and crown a winner and send them a Jacob Horse or Piss Boy plushie.
THATS SUCH A GOOD IDEA OH MY GOD especially because so much of what they say has NOTHING to do with the actual drawing, even less so without context

Drawing suggestion: draw each other into an isekai. Example- Nathan is king of dinosaurs in a prehistoric world; Karina uses a Digimon deck in a YuGiOh-esque dimension; Julia is a Drawtective in an isekai full of vampires; and Jacob is the leader of a bunch of little guys rebelling against hot villains.

Honestly having an anime that slowly replaces character with some demon that swears its that character it took the place of is a great idea. Utaman and Solid vape have to figure out how to prove Patrick is this doppelganger demon.
I love the idea that it just starts as a gag that slowly becomes the main plot. like Patrick is just a normal side character that exists, doesn’t look like a demon or anything, and then one episode with zero explanation he just looks like a monster, but the plot advances as per usual and no one acknowledges it. slowly though, throughout the episodes other background characters and school staff will inexplicably just suddenly become Patrick, but like, not concerningly so, just enough to be a recurring bit. until in one episode a main character gets replaced and starts sabotaging stuff for the other main characters, and they start trying to figure out what happened and why this character suddenly turned on them out of nowhere, then that’s when Solid Vape shows up undercover to start investigating the demonic presence in the school, annnnd I’ll stop outlining the storyline but you can imagine the rest lol

Oh that could be a fun idea for one of those episodes like the Tumblr sexy man, where one person draws and the others give suggestions. Everyone says an attribute and a single word describing that attribute (ex. Neck:Long, Teeth:Many, Bones:less) and the artist has to incorporate it into the drawing as they slowly do more rounds of it until its a weird disaster.

When Jacob revealed Julia's eyes were from Bleach, I immediately said "Oh, the cat bitch!" only to hear that sentiment repeated by Karina. Made my night.

New winter anime just got announced:
Yutaman is just a regular guy who used to hide in the nurses office during class because the other students bullied him bc of his elephant head. One day he noticed that the kind nurse he was used to was nowhere to be seen. Instead he was replaced by Patrick. He realised that the other teachers and students at the school had slowly began to disappear under mysterious circumstances and it seemed as though everyone else had forgotten them. But not Yutaman! An elephant never forgets. Solid Vape an undercover cop is sent into the school in order to investigate the disappearances as people unassociated with the school had begun to take notice that strange things were happening at the school. Now they just need to work together and defeat Patrick.
I'd watch it.

The anime could be called "An Elephant Never Forgets."
It starts as a Slice-of-Life comedy but slowly turns into a sad cosmic horror drama.
Yutaman becomes the main character after the "main cast" disappears and nobody remembers them except Yutaman because "An Elephant Never Forgets"
Our weirdguy Pat is an eldritch terror who desided to grant Yutaman's secret wish to be important. As eldritch gods do, he does so in only the most horrific, messed up way anyone could interpret it.
Solid Vape is the poor sap who was sent to figure out what the hell is going on, and he is So Scared and Confused.

When I learned in my biological anthropology class that our eating and breathing tubes are the same because it's what allows us to talk, and every other great ape does have separate tubes so they never choke on their own spit, I felt a deep rage that has never fully subsided

@@davidprince6877 i know that apes don't have a tremendous ability to control the flow of their breath, like humans do. in fact, one of the reasons we started teaching primates sign language is because we wanted to see if our nearest animal relatives could talk to us, and, lacking the ability to speak with breath, we took up trying to get them to communicate with their hands
@@davidprince6877 it’s got a lot to do with the relative height of the larynx in the vocal tract and the mobility of our tongues,palette etc. We have a lot of real estate above the larynx which gives us a ton of possible articulations, and each makes a unique sound. that variability contributed to the development of language. (Also the use of sounds as base units that we combine into meaningful words as opposed to a single sound corresponding to a meaning- which is more common in the animal kingdom)

The way they tied the whole premise and plot and reason for all three characters to be what they are was sincerely clever enough that I'd absolutely watch it. It's somewhat equal parts Haruhi Suzumiya, Nichijou, and friggin' Mousou Dairinin; what's not to love?

That would be the most amazing anime twist ever!
It starts out with just some average anime protagonist in high school, and there's a silly theme song that kinda slaps, and he has an elephant friend, and the principle is this weird eye monster, and there's a "foreign exchange student" who is clearly a grizzled war vet in disguise, etc.
Then in the end of the first episode, the nurse goes in to see Principle Patrick, and in the second episode, the nurse is also Patrick, and over the course of the second and third episodes, it slowly reveals that Patrick can take the place of people and everyone forgets they'd ever existed.
Then in the fourth episode, Patrick has replaced the generic protag in the opening song, and is the new main character, and it's NEVER ADDRESSED in the series from then on out!
I would watch the hell out of that series!
I, for one, FULLY support changing the sign-off to "We'll do better next time," that's incredible
I almost think that changing the intro to be "Hello and welcome to Drawfee, we'll do better next time" and then ending with the current "Sorry!" may be better
