Every time there’s a #rape in the country, our politicians throw some gems of wisdom to make us feel better and safer. We got actors #RichaChadha and #RahulBhat to decode some of these gems. We wanted to dive deep to come up with more such pearls, but there were simply too many. And there’s only that much wisdom we could handle.

I totally agree that the statements made by these politicians are disgusting and dangerous. But so was the film "Section 375", which Richa Chadha and Rahul Bhat starred in. The film posits the idea that women can also make false rape accusations, which at a time where women already have a hard time coming forward and being believed is a much more massive problem, is an incredibly irresponsible and dangerous film to make. They are better people who can explain rape culture, not Richa Chadha and Rahul Bhat who have been complicit in it.
