    *UPDATE: Hey guys! Thank you for the great feedback. I figured that if you're watching this review then you'd be interested in Sennheiser's newest premium Bluetooth headphone, the PXC 550. You can watch my HONEST review here: th-cam.com/video/mr8XB14vCFc/w-d-xo.html

      ODi Productions both great videos! If you had to choose between the momentum 2.0 wireless vs the pxc 550 which one would it be better regarding sound quality and active noise canceling? Thanks man! Keep it up with the good work!

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Leandro! And for me, as a longtime Momentum 2 owner, and now PXC owner for over a month... I gotta go with the PXC 550. It's just way more updated and feels like a worthy premium Bluetooth headphone today against the top competition (Sony MDR 1000x/Bose QC35, etc)

    • @leandrobatero1
      @leandrobatero1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ODi Productions even regarding sound quality, then? Although the active noise canceling feature is important, my main concern is sound quality! Do you think then that the pxc 550 are better? Thanks for answering! Really appreciate it!

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Leandro, trust me, the PXC 550 isn't priced at $400 for their noise-cancelation if you get what I mean xD

    Hey how would this heaphone do for gaming too? As i also often like to stream games while playing music at the same time. And how is the pc connection for the wireless?

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can definitely use these for gaming, but you might wanna add a mic attachment to make it a headset. I can't comment on the Wireless as I haven't gotten a chance to use it sorry.

    Experienced headphone owner here, lifelong technology enthusiast. I've owned the bowers and Wilkins p7 wireless, the sennheiser hd650s and the momentum 2 wired and wireless. I'm aware of sennheisers's reputation making some of the finest headphones around. I actually listened to this 2016 TH-cam video with my new sennheiser momentum 2 wireless over ear headphones purchased September 21, 2019 from a local best buy store. The momentum headphones have high build quality, a stylish design and very good, but not quite audiophile sound quality. True audiophile headphones have near flat frequency response and open designs for wide spatial soundstages. The sennheiser momentum has an equalization curve, better than Bose or beats, for a fun dynamic sounds. The larger memory foam leather ear cushions improve comfort and seal better from external sounds. Unfortunately sennheiser has followed the marketing bandwagon and went with noise canceling technology, which adds a bit of distortion and a slight pressure on the eardrums.

    I don't know if you still read these comments: I was looking into buying a pair of headphones for my brother and I decided on either these or Bose quiet comfort. I turned to TH-cam and found that you had reviews on both. You made fantastic reviews and convinced me to buy these based on clear advantages. Thank you I subscribed.

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +William Hammond Appreciate it and I always read the comments!! Honestly, I would go with the Sennheiser Momentums because they have the best sound quality out right now as far as portable headphones are concerned. The Bose has amazing noise cancelation, but the sound quality is not the same class as the Sennheisers. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Any concerns about the loose cables above the earcups? I know they are necessary, but for durability purposes, wondering if anyone has accidentally snagged them on something when taking them out of the bag? Will of course keep them in the case but just curious if its happened to anyone.

    What's up ODi. Here's my situation in a nutshell:
    I currently have the Crossfade Wireless, Beats Studio Wireless, and Bose QC20 Earbuds. Currently I have been using the CFW at home for Music and Gaming, the BSW at work for music listening while working and anytime I need a little more isolation than the CFW can give me, and the QC20s pretty much go everywhere with me since they're so small, and I use them when I'm in really noisy situations. I've been looking at either the Momentum 2.0 or the Sony MDR-1A. Both intrigue me because not only do I hear many say they sound better than my current options, but it seems as though they both have a completely different sound signature from the headphones I have. What do you think is the better headphone between the MDR-1A and Momentum 2.0s and why? What's the difference in sound quality between the two? Thanks in Advance! Love your reviews

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +mjohnsonjr23 Personally, I would choose the Momentum 2 over the MDR-1A because I prefer the sound signature. The Sony's are more mid-centric than any of the above headphones, and I find that its more balanced sound signature is not as exciting to listen to. On the other hand, the Senns have a somewhat similar sound signature to the V-Modas, but there's just enough mid response that they provide a refreshingly different listening experience over time (I know this because I own both). With all that said, they are both very good headphones and about as good as it gets when it comes to stylish, portable cans. PS. Thank you for the kind praise :P

    How do these compare to the HD 598? Sound wise and build.

    • @TheGFS
      @TheGFS 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      well, first the HD 598's are open back headphone and Momentums are closed , build quality of the momentums are way nicer (too much plastic in the HD 598) but the HD 598 are still very well made but dont have the "expensive look" like the Mementums do.. Sound quality of both headphones is very good , personally i like the Mementums better cause I like closed back better than open.. Also might want to think about impedance, where the Mementums are 20 ohms, the HD 598 are 50 ohm , so for smartphone use for example the Momentums would be a better choice..
      But this is just my opinion on these, i dont use my headphones much with my phone ( usually i have the Sennheiser Urbanites for my phone), i mostly use headphones for gaming (pc) and watching movies, tv or listening to music (again pc), but i have an external DAC to drive them so even my Sennheiser Game Zero (150ohms) sound very nice (but if i hook them directly to my pc they sound like shit cause the onboard soundcard cant drive them properly)

    hi odi. first of all great work. got a couplebof questions though.. do you think the hinges seem reliable and durable? i read some posts on a very famous headphones forum saying that the 2.0s dont feel ad solid as the originals in terms of build quality.. do you agree?
    about the pads.... i was one of the people that loved\hated the original momentums because of the small pads... the pads on the 2.0s are much bigger? would you say the pads are bigger than the one on the m50x? (i have a pair of m50x's right now and my ears touch the bottom pf the pads a little bit wich makes them a bit uncomfortable after half an hour)
    Regarding the sound.... would you say these have more\less bass quantity and impact than the originals? soundstage was improved?
    the mids and highs are even more pronounced on the 2.0 or are they similar to the originals?
    sorry for the bother and keep up the good work m8.... :)
    Cheers...

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Pedro Oliveira It's no bother at all my friend! Let's get to your questions: 1. The build quality, and especially the hinges, seems exceptionally reliable. Where the metal hinges meet the headband, there are metal screws there as well. Many hinges out there are made of plastic so the M2's are a step above the average. 2. The pads are bigger, but not drastically. I would say the pads are just a bit smaller than the M50x. 3. Definitely more bass quantity but only slightly more impact (not a huge difference, but noticeable enough). Mids and highs seem to have more clarity. I don't hear a big difference in soundstage, seeing as the originals were already pretty good.

    Hello there... Which one is the best for every penny when it comes to sound and comfort, Bose soundlink around ear 2 or Sennheiser Momentum 2.0? i prefer more deep bass and detailed sound.. Hope you can help me purchase the good headphones. Thanks.

    • @oDiProductions

      Sennheiser Momentum 2 easily! Bose doesn't have a very strong bass response, it's more laid back. These Momentums have pretty solid bass impact. Comfort is close, Bose is superior but the Momentums are comfy as well.

    how is the sound isolation compared to the bose quietcomfort 35?

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Momentum 2s have pretty decent passive noise isolation, but the QC35 has active noise-cancellation which is in another league. For example, the Momentum 2s would not be able to block out much noise on an airplane, but the QC35 would be pretty silent with music playing. But in a quiet office or library, the Momentum 2s with music playing would get the job done.

      +Hegel Tsai I appreciate that a lot!! I have actually tried the on-ears a handful of times and I have to say that there is no comparison. The on-ears sound pretty boomy and lack the balance and high-end clarity of the over-ears. On top of that, the on-ears are pretty uncomfortable, especially when compared to the over-ears which are very comfortable. Overall, if you have the extra money, I'd swing for the over-ears every time. Thanks again for watching.

    Hi. I currently have Sol Rep MasterTracks X3 headphones and i am much more into bass and deep house music. I am looking much better than MasterTracks (in terms of bass and sound quality). Are momentum 2.0 the answer. Need strong suggestions please..

    • @oDiProductions

      If you're really heavy into bass then you should check out the Sony XB950BT. Very good reviews on those as far as a basshead headphone go. The Momentum 2 has amazing audiophile sound quality all around, so the bass is not over emphasized compared to the mids or the highs. It's all balanced, yet beautiful.

    Hi ODI, i would like to know your opinion, which one is better, Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 2.0 or Bose Quiet Comfort 35 in terms of sounds quality, conform, Built Quality, and Portability ? i would like to buy one of those because they seems like one of the best wireless bluetooth right now.

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I had to choose one headphone, the Bose QC35 is a better OVERALL package. Sennheiser wins in the sound quality department, but when it comes to everything in one package, I think the Bose presents a better value. Especially since the Momentum Wireless is so expensive, it would be more competitive if the Senns were $100 cheaper... but they're not.

    I just bought these headphones and I love them so far. But I was wondering... will these headphones break easily if I use them while exercising? I had a pair of Beats solo 2 headphones break within 2 months of using them while running.

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Zephor Honestly, the only headphones with better build quality I can think of are the V-Moda Crossfade M100s. But with that said, these don't really seem like they're made for working out with. They're a little too classy lol. But then again, I've seen tons of people in the gym wearing Beats which are lesser build quality...

    • @oDiProductions

      Do not cut those wires!! That is what is responsible for the sound feeding into the earcups lol. The reason why they're exposed is because the metal headband is too thin to house internally

      +Joshe Bernadel For me, it'd be between the Sennheiser Momentum 2 and the V-Moda Crossfade M100. The V-Modas actually have more powerful bass, but everything else is a little better on the Sennheisers. Can't go wrong with either of those.

      If you liked the Beats Studio 2.0 then you're gonna LOVE the V-Moda M100s. really great review bro. ive watched most of ur high end headphones review now. I would now love a comparison between 3-4 high end headphones such as : momentums 2.0, quiet comfort, vmoda m100, beats, athm50x.
    I can watch each of your video reviews but i think a detailed comparison video would be really great!
    i'm currently looking into buying a pair of this. (Currently owns athm50x/vmoda m100/sony md1rbt)
    the vmodas are currently my favorite right now

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Neil Manalo Yes definitely!! I agree with you and I have a big comparison in the works. Regarding the Momentum 2s, I really love the V-Modas as my favorite headphones as well... but if there were one headphone to steal me away, it would be the Sennheisers. The mids are a really nice change of pace, and you might start missing them when you listen back to the M100s.

    Hello! I wanted to ask a question that bothers me too much. What is better decision to be made: buy SONY MDR-1A ADAC Version or these Momentum M2 Headphones? I just don't realize which is better. Thanks

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Евгений Шек First off, both of those headphones are great and I doubt anyone would be disappointed with either one. With that said, I would go with the Sennheiser M2s which are simply one of the best headphones out right now. Their sound quality combines the best elements of bass, mids, and highs, in a very beautiful and durable design. Let me know what you end up deciding.

    • @eugeneshek1976

      There is one issue with Sony headphones that I didn't like: it works only 8 hours on the battery 'cause of Amplifier and the recharging process takes about 4 hours. I'm really active headphone user and it doesn't fit me. Now I'm going to listen M2 and Audiotechnica (on the same price range) in order to determine what I like more. I think M2 will be more preferable. And it will be good with meizu pro 5 smartphone.

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Евгений Шек Ahh I see, yeah you won't have to worry about batteries with the Sennheisers and they can still be powered by a phone. How much power will depend on your phone, but you can always add a headphone amp to boost it up. Would love to hear your feedback on the M2's after listening.

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I have used the wired on-ears and the over-ears (both wired/wireless) are in another class. There's a reason they cost a bit more, they're 1 tier above in the lineup. I highly suggest the upgrade.

    • @yanderbaert6268
      @yanderbaert6268 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the fast answer, how does the bass on the over ears compare to the bass on the on ears? is the bass deeper? I'm kind of a basshead and I feel like it's kind of lacking in the on ears compared to my previous daily headset jbl everest elite 700 (good sound but has had factory defects for about 3 or 4 times and we asked for a refund)

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the bass is much improved, it's not just deeper but it's also clearer and not as muddy. If you really like bass, you should also look into the Sony MDR-1000x which has beautiful, powerful bass. (Sony has experience making basshead headphones with their XB line). @@michaelsmith1848 ya nice one for the reply! I’m just worried that they don’t fit around my whole ear. I like over ear cans and there’s a few vids that say they don’t fully cup your ear. I’m gonna be using them as DJ headphones so like that isolation :)

      @michaelsmith1848 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RobertoCampoliOfficial They don't fully fit around the ear. They are very comfortable for a couple of hours and the sound quality is excellent. Sennheiser now makes the Momentum 3, which from my understanding, covers the entire ear. I hopethat helps.

    Watching in 2022 and I’m still yet to find sexier looking cans than these! I don’t own a pair and came across this video they look so slick man! They look vintage to me and I like that. But I’m going to be using them for DJing. Just wondering whether or not they’re going to be comfortable enough and also whether I’ll end up breaking them by using them on one ear throughout my set each night.
