I made my first Ai film after watching this video. The amount of knowledge that I learned from Mr. Tobey is in my short film. I can't stop admiring your work Mr. Tobey. A lot respect to you.
The value provided here for new AI film producers is simply incredible. I use AI generated images for all my music sleeves and sometimes AI generated videos (although still quite expensive to produce). AI allows small artists the chance to create some unique and highly professional when they would otherwise not be able to do so. I am trying to improve and this video is my number 1 go to for learning how to get better. If it's ok with you I will post a link on my social channels - I won't post though unless you are ok with this.
Wow! Toby! That was great. Thankyou. From this you can see that you actually 'walk the talk'! A Toby Pointer course I am sure would be filled and truly valuable to all the upcoming and potential Ai movie makers. Thanks again Toby.
This wonderful class saved me a lot of time studying Runway. Yes, AI has several pages of guidance, but they are not explained with the clarity and detail of your class. Thank you very much!
Oh. You just make me fall in love with your channel and way of explaining. I have gone through many AI movie things. You are more than a mentor!!!!! Keep up!
I knew i instantly had to subscribe. Wait, you mean thisaee all ai generated? The movie industry is not ready. Oh my God, there's so much that i need to learn othan than generating images. Prompting is a whole new undiscovered goldmine. Thanks Toby
other ideas to try are things like oscillating shot, hyper speed timelapse from and to different locations, split screen shot and have the subject cross the boundary. I've been trying to push the limits of these things, and with the newest models you'd be surprised what you can make the AI do. It's all in the prompt friends. I always try to picture the shot in my head, and I walk through every beat of the shot and have the AI focus on the things I want the audience to focus on. This was an awesome video, as someone who has been learning all I can about filmmaking I appreciate content like this. Thank you for sharing.
Toby, you are awesome, sir! I just graduated a few months back for my bachelors in 3D and VFX but I also believe in keeping with the times as far as what could possibly be next. Knowing the move that Lionsgate pulled with Runway, I will definitely be looking into this, especially since I do have stories of my own that I would love to tell. You just gained a new subscriber that clicked the bell icon, :)
You know what I love the most in this video, is that it is direct to the point with specific examples of shots discussed, and uses words that people that are not in the film industry and beginners can easily understand. Most of all the sentence "Don't forget to subscribe, like and click on the notif bell"; is at the very end of the video. usually, this sentence is used at the beginning, middle and end of the video which is sometimes annoying for me and ruins the pace and concentration of the video for me. This video is one example of how, if you are confident in your output, you don't need to say this sentence every time because people will eventually subscribe to your channel if they love it. This is one of the videos that is high value in terms of the knowledge in the filming world and is free to access. I am a beginner and boy, I can understand every shot that you are talking about. I am not stupid but if you are new in the film industry, you got a lot to understand. I finished your video without pausing and just listening and focusing on the topics you discussed. And I think I know I have the confidence now where to start. Hope you will have more videos about Runway ML like their Lipsync Feature.
Thank you for this Toby! Video is a bit long that can be condensed but I'm liking the direction your channel is taking. AI filmmaking will be big in the future!
This is a masterpiece! Amazing work. Thank you for generously sharing all this information for free. I’ve tried creating consistent characters in MidJourney to make a video in Runway, but it’s challenging. If you ever open a course on this, count me in-I’d definitely enroll!
It is challenging I agree. the best way I found is to create 6 references images of your character in different head directions. (Use Runway's new camera controls to spin around your character, then take stills from the video to create the different angles) and finally use all six as a character reference. that process worked well for me.
Great video! I'd love to see your insights on post-production, especially color correction for this type of footage. Not many people are discussing this, and the post-production work you've done has truly elevated your content.
Seriously! You just took me to school and I brought a note pad! I really want to get into AI film making for music videos and this very informative! Thank you!@tobypointer
And yet it all looks fake. If you live in a world of playing games, then it may seem real, but it is still unreal (no pun intended). I agree that AI video is getting better, but cell animation and real film still are easily distinguished.

I make AI films and this video was extremely well made and informative. The shots showcased were stunning in quality. I think the generative upscaler Krea makes a major difference. I’m looking for a ComfyUI alternative for Krea/Magnific that I could run locally for free. Are there any that you are aware of? I subscribed, this was some quality content!
Thanks for the excellent review. As for alternatives to Krea/Magnific that you can run locally with ComfyUI, there are a few options you can explore. One is Stable Diffusion combined with ESRGAN or Real-ESRGAN, which provides high-quality upscaling for free. Both can be integrated with local tools like ComfyUI.
@@tobypointer Thank you for the tip Toby. I also need the generative upscaler not to alter character features because of consistency. Are the mentioned tools able to do that?
@@TeemuKetola@TeemuKetola No, they all alter your character to some extent. However, in Krea, from my experience, the changes are quite consistent, which can actually help maintain character continuity. It's something to keep in mind when designing your character's appearance.

i seldom comments on videos that i watched on youtube regarding regarding making videos using AI, but this is best informative and beautiful videos that i watched. I fully realized that It is possible to make a movie just like the hollywood movies by using available AI apps. The only limitation in creating a realistic scene is the prompt. I hope you can share more ideas on how to compose prompt. thanks.
Very interesting cinematography guide. The problem is that Runway (and most of the AI video generators today) lacks consistency between shots. The result always follows the "mobile advertising" aesthetics: non-connected beautiful images in slow motion for the "wow" effect. Visually satisfying but empty. You cannot tell a story without consistency. I'm using Domo AI over my own 3D animation content and avoiding realistic styles for consistency. Thanks for the video.

Great video, Thank you
Thank you
Excellent tutorial!
Thank you!
i seldom comments on videos that i watched on youtube regarding regarding making videos using AI, but this is best informative and beautiful videos that i watched. I fully realized that It is possible to make a movie just like the hollywood movies by using available AI apps. The only limitation in creating a realistic scene is the prompt. I hope you can share more ideas on how to compose prompt. thanks.
Wow thank you so much
Very interesting cinematography guide.
Thank you

Even if you have less memory the depth capture is more valuable. You can store in next one.
Thank you very much for these inputs.
I’m starting now with this and I find it really impressive and hard to learn! But i still try!
it can be frustrating... but also fun and addicting.
