I started to recreate some of my travel videos and the progress over the last few months is just wild. I can only imagine what this is going to look like by the end of the year.
Gen-2 image-to-video was pretty wild, so I can't wait to test Gen-3. I finished a big video project in Gen-2 one day before Gen-3 released image-to-video feature... :)
After several tests, I found that Luma AI is pretty good for shots with limited movement, and their prices are great compared to Runway Gen 3. I also suggest using the Runway Gen 3 Turbo model, which consumes 25 credits and has no significant difference in quality compared to the standard Gen 3 model. However, everything is limited to the specific topic you want to animate, but I'm using both Luma AI and Runway Gen 3.

great video, thanks for uploading. My one suggestion is the background is badass, but I think if you just slowed it down a little bit it'll match the vibe and be more calming. The speed of it now is like a slow strobe. Very cool lookin though.
To all the aspiring filmmakers watching this, theres nothing wrong with ocassionally using AI tools to enchance what you have when you dont have a budget, but please focus on doing the real work. Art is valuable because of the human touch. Its ofc subjective, but Id much rather look at a film full of real people with large pores and shoddy camera movement as long as it has personality. If everyone can spend a few minutes generating images of spaceships and zombies, then they start to mean nothing. If you just want to have fun and mess around then thats totally okay, but just remember that if these tools are used the wrong way, we could be looking at a future where its impossible for humans to make a living as painters, musicians, writers, actors, or directors. That kinda future sounds very dark to me, so lets prevent it from happening by not relying on these tools
@elijahcassidy The dinosaurs didn't die because an asteroid hit the Earth, they died because they couldn't adapt. The ongoing fear of AI reminds me 12 years ago during the "DSLR revolution" when grumpy old men complained about it being too easy to make films shooting with DSLRs now looking like film. What happened? The creative kids using new tools made the old grumpy guys extinct... The argument that "AI is taking our jobs" fundamentally shows that you're just a dinosaur unable to adapt. Adapt or go extinct. Reality doesn't care about your opinions - your ability to adapt to reality is what matters. If AI tools makes me obsolete after +20 years of experience as a filmmaker, well, that just means that I'm a sh*t filmmaker. So instead of fearing AI I should fear myself not being good enough to use the new tools in an optimal way. Look yourself in the mirror and as the easy but tough question - am I willing to adapt, or do I want to be a dinosaur? The choice is yours, and don't blame someone else.

I've tried both gen3 gen2 and kling, they all are fun for about an hour but pretty much useless at this point if you're trying to create something with any purpose. Give it another 3 months and hopefully they they will figure out how to control the output more. Most generations look good for about 4 seconds and then fall apart. You might have to spend a whole day trying to get just one clip to use. Which makes it unusable for professional creators on a long term basis. I like curious refuge videos and courses, but I have one little problem. It’s not to criticize but just me. When talking at the end of sentence there a shift to throat talking instead of keeping the voice coming from the mouth.
To me I can’t focus with that and I didn’t register for the course bcz of that.
Not sure what you mean?
@@curiousrefuge just pay attention to your videos. In some sentences, the beginning is normal but at the end of the sentence , there is a shift to talking from the back of the mouth.
Most people find it normal, but for me it is annoying.
I still prefer the non-existent Sora :)
Hahah, what's Sora???
Where's*@@curiousrefuge
What will happen with Sora? Testing since late February, and no news. The product quality we saw was excellent. What are they waiting for?
Hello from Cambodia...
Hello 😊
Anyone know if this works for generating motion video from an audio file? Thanks in advance!
Audio2Video isn't in Runway
is the guy giving the lesson AI?
Hahaha no but we get that a lot!
Perfect evidence of Yoda
:)
Hi! Thanks for the video, Im having a hard time because it keeps putting texts in the video even though I clearly say no to in the prompt, any ideas?
Mind sharing your prompt?
Runway Gen 3 always busy and show you the message
" Due to heavy demand, generations on Free Plans are temporarily unavailable.
Paid Plans are unaffected. (See Plan options). We thank you for your patience."
We've heard that a lot lately - certainly frustrating.

very frustrating
I can't seem to get it to understand my prompts. Not as great as I thought and it eats up the credits quickly, I still have nothing that I can actually use. This is a great video but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm using it for social media ads to promote a brand of cleaning products and wanted to try generating some funny animated videos. Any tips?
Feel free to jump in our discord and we can help!
Kling is better
Edit: I agree gen 3 image to video is better
We like both! But so far we have had better results with Gen3.
Never can't be

Kling is not better now runway image to video is definitely better
Can’t do anything unless have chinese phone number to make an account
Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Why do I only download 720p in Runwayml Generative Video?
At this point that's all it offers but you can expand in tools like Topaz
I dont understand this tutorial at all. How did you generate the video of biking girl, based on what? Some midjourney generated images?
typically our workflow is image 2 video!
