From what I read online, in Canada, Ontario there is the Low-speed vehicle pilot program. A low-speed vehicle is an electric, four-wheeled vehicle that is smaller and lighter than a regular car. Low-speed vehicles have a maximum speed of 40 kilometres per hour. In addition to meeting the requirements under the pilot program, low-speed vehicles must have insurance and be registered through ServiceOntario.

It looks like your video is over a year old now. Would you mind me asking how the unit is doing a year later? Motor and batteries are my main concern. I'm going to look at one on Tuesday and I live in cold Canada as well. I'm actually in the Parry Sound area so the heat will be very important to me. I can't recall if you said in the vid how much you paid for it but the ones I've been seeing are all around the $8000 mark. Have you ever been pulled over with it? If so were you hassled or were they just curious about it? Is there anything I should know about the legalities of it being on the roads or sidewalks? I've looked at so many different types including the Boomerbuggy X and so on. This one excites me the most out of all of them. I have also noticed the same unit that you own under at least half a dozen different brand names. The one I will be going to see is called a "Gio Golf". It is identical to yours on the outside but I see some very minor differences on the inside. The controllers being one of them and the one I will be looking at apparently has air conditioning as well lol. Who would have thought eh ? I really do hope you see this and can give me some advice if you have any. The biggest thing for me that I'd really like to know is how you're making out with this unit a year later down the road. How many km's have you put on it and how are the batteries and motor holding out. I would imagine replacing either of those will be ridiculously costly so I hope it can go for quite some time without needing replaced. I'm on disability and have been saving up bit by bit for close to 8 years now for something like this. I'll never be able to buy another one due to the high costs so I'm really hoping what I get will be durable and long lasting. Thank you kindly for posting the video and for showing us what it's like to actually drive it. Please do keep safe there and take care. Thanks again. :)
So this was purchased by my 80 year old mother feb 2021 that is when I did this review, she uses it about 3 to 4 times a week on avg. She just had a battery replaced at the cost of 260 cdn dollars, there are 5 batteries in the vehicle, the vehicle is running normal again, when the battery died ( it exploded ,had a hole in it when removed) it would only go 5 kilometres and would not take a charge. She has never been pulled over, it is considered the same as any normal mobility scooter, it falls under her home insurance, so no additional insurance was required. She drives it along the side of the road, like most bicycles do. I don’t know a lot about these except for her experience, it works for her, she has room for her groceries in the back, she uses it primarily to go to market and occasionally drives to her sisters around 4 kilometres each way. In Canada it will be important to store in a garage in the winter months, cold is hard on batteries. Hope this helps, good luck with any purchase you make Paul. I will try and do an update review on my channel soon, to let all those who have been asking know how it has been running. Oh she paid 7500 cdn in Feb 21 for a display model that had I believe 250 kilometres on it, also note, there is no tax in Ontario Canada on these, as they are classed as mobility scooters for disability users.

@@robertjcampbell558 this was bought in Canada Robert
@@robertjcampbell558 yes, there are different sellers in Canada. Ecolocycle in Montreal imports them. Recommend you contact them re dealers in Canada. In Ottawa the dealer is Derand Motorsports.
@@shaleknight62 who and where do I contact them. That is the price point I'm looking for. Any help you can offer is appreciated. I desperately need a mobility scooter that I can afford and Canadian prices are outrageous imo. Thanks.
Do you need a driver license?
How does it do with hills?
How do you charge it up do you use a regular wall plug in that's where we're at I can't get nobody to answer that there's some of them that will and some of them won't and we always ask how do you charge it up there's no place in my community to go and charge something like that like you do electric car I'm not talking about I'm talking a full-fledged electric car that's a scooters supposed to be and how do you charge them up
@@MorrisWeaver-t2f yes you use a regular wall plug
Your speedometer says it goes up to 80km/h, but their website says this model only goes up to 30km/h. What's the deal with that, did I miss something?
It only goes up to 30 kil , you will see this in both my video reviews on this, speedometers many time go way passed what a vehicle actually does.

How much is this electric car
How much will be the rate
Is there an alarm in case someone tries to steal it? Do you park it in a regular parking space, or can you pull it up onto the sidewalk to park? You said it has a fan, does this cool as well as heat?
No alarm, people usually park in lot or wider sidewalks, the fan can blow outside air without heat…hope this helps
@@stonkthecat Its all very well have a vehicle like this but it also needs an alarm system for something this expensive
Amazon sells bike alarms that could work just stick em on the inside of doors
@@stonkthecat The new ones have an alarm now,Father in law just bought one and it has an alarm on it.
Seems kinda rough on the ride. Is that because of your weathery road condition or is the suspension that terrible?
The roads are definitely terrible the demo, however the suspension is not terrific.....OK on smooth roads or sidewalks
Perfect how much in cad?
You would have to contact a dealer, my mother paid around 8 k when video was made, no tax because it is mobility in Ontario
In uk?

@@deniseshephard3347 J1005 model which appears to be the same as this one, in two big manufacturers
In China are selling this J1005 to $5,000 US $ including delivery to your door. I live in B. C. Canada and have had that quote and am waiting further correspondence from one outlet. Sure cannot afford anything more like Canadian prices and apparently they import them and jack the prices up and out of reach of buyers like us that haven't got that kind of money!! If their sales are falling off it will serve them right. I'd rather buy from my own country but how many of us oldies can afford to fork out the kind of money the Canadians are trying to get? Not me.

Can you get a refund back? I know I'm not buying this model.

Imagine the seat and the back can be slide in and out. You don't need doors and Luggages can be store in front.
Where can I order this?
In canada there are dealers, I suspect you can google and find in your country....regards
Thank you so much

All these vehicles sold by Ecolo and Emmo come from the same factory and theres no difference between them so check Emmo they maybe cheaper.
Is the ET4 legal in British Columbia Canada ? Where to buy a ET4 ?
should be legal, it is a mobility scooter
I could've sworn the 1 2 & 3 were the speed for the windshield wiper speed.
Not on this one Kathryn - it governs speed
What happens if the police stop you?
It is legal in Canada, I do not know about other countries
Total price of this scooter included shipping in Italy.
Good luck with warranty, parts, service.

IT LOOKS LIKE A LICENSE PLATE.
I live in Southeastern Michigan.
I probably need a license plate
Too , to be able to drive this on the street to go to work and back home again
Do not need a plate in Canada Brenda, don't know about Michigan
I believe it is a medical mobility scooter for on sidewalks or side of road to get to sidewalk. Not for street driving like car!
I use a mobility scooter all the time as well as drive a car. This is really a small car and a great concept but I don't want to get hit by one on the sidewalk.
Oh! THAT's the one they sell on Facebook market for $29.00
....because at $10,000, steering wheels are too costly to include ;D
How I do to buy one?
You will have to contact a dealer, I only reviewed the one my mother purchased in Ottawa Canada
Do you need a drivers license to drive this?
You do not in Canada Ken
@@stonkthecat I take it i can drive this in Washington State. And what is the cost, thank you.

yes
How much are these? Somebody has them for 149.95 do you know if that’s a scam.
Scam for sure, 8000+ in Canada
@@stonkthecat and that price is too high considering what they pay for them from China apparently.?
I will be buying from one of two manufacturers in China for Five grand, delivered to my door! It pays to do due diligence people. I'd rather buy in Canada but won't be paying the outrageous prices!
There we go!
