    Accuracy now is tested on beer cans. So you can hit the can after three beers, cool! ... 😀👍

    Got my 45 M2.0 a few weeks back and took it on an IPAS shoot at my local club last week. Being non blowback the additional shot count was particularly useful here and the gun got a lot of favorable comments from other shooters (many of whom were using the much more expensive CP88 Competition). The clear sight marks made it a joy to use and target acquisition was quick. The downside I would say is in IPAS you draw and engage a number of Iron Plates in as quick a time as possible and this gun does have quite a long travel on the trigger when not pre-cocked. That being said I managed a respectable 3.18 seconds to engage 5 targets so not too much of a handicap. In short yes I would recommend :)

    I have the Mk1 version of this. Marginally different moulding but identical in operation. Great fun.

    Unless you are dead set on a non-blowback replica, it is hard to see how it is preferable to something like the Sig Sauer P320 which offers a replica, 30 shot magazine, pellet use and blowback for around the same price or if you are happy with a replica-a-like, the Gamo C15 is a bargain at around £70-80..

      Agree - or even the Umarex SA-10 - been out ages and is just like this with 8 pellet mag (or BB) but with blowback. Without blowback it's more the worst of both worlds rather than the best - not quite as realistic as blowback and still not as accurate/powerful as a non-replica pistol.

    As always, a comprehensive review of what seems to be a bit of a compromise - no blow back, all plastic, and not so cheap but... thumbs up for pellet and quality.

    Looks like a useful pistol Andy , but gets quite a few negative comments from other watchers ! A while ago I bought a SIG P250 pellet firer with blowback and found accuracy poor and CO2 economy very poor , could not get rid of it quick enough . Instead I bought a Walther CP99 , with no blowback ,pellet firing ,CO2 economy and accuracy much better ,it even packs a punch when firing which surprised me .This M&P looks very similar in operation . thanks for the upload and keep up the good work .

    I've got the first version of this and I love it. Had alot off pellets through it and works faultlessly. It my go to pistol out off all the ones I have. No its not blowback or realistic but its great on co² and pretty accurate too

    I prefer pellets over BBs as there is more to think about with them. Blow-back and drop-out clips are great. Few guns have these in combination, and this more expensive all-plastic version just doesn't do it for me.
    Great review regardless of specs of course, Andy!

    I'd say my blowback bb pistols were as accurate against cans , really need a paper target to see a grouping . Personally I like the pistol but not enough to buy one ,

  • @brorjordas1979

    Love these replica pistol reviews! (Yea. I do am mostly into these co2 pistols myself over anything else)..
    Even mostly being into modern military and law enforcement type of pistols - I actually do not own any S&W M&P line pistols.😂
    This would be a good one - but since already owning a Walther CP88, CP99 and a CP99 Nighthawk version, this S&W does not really bring me much new to the table. But it do seem like yet another good 8-shot rotary mag Umarex nbb pistol. The rear sight also windage adjustable as on older UX nbb pellet pistols btw?
    Would consider buying one of these if not owned a WaltherCP99 DA/SA already. Nowadays my own top considered S&W probably is the blowback M&P 9L BB pistol..

    I would prefer to stick with my sig p226. Pellet, blowback, around 50 shots and magazine in the grip. Or the glock 17 dual ammo as I prefer a pellet gun.

    Is the ricochet such a serious problem? One or two layers of cardboard completely eliminates it. I use two disposable plates pinned to a tree - no ricochet at all. So what's the point of using pellets? Accuracy? With such a short barrel? Not to mention other trade-offs.

    • @noggintube
      @noggintube 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also there's the copper coated lead BB's. Not much more an issue of ricochet than lead pellets.

    Umarex have some very cool guns coming this month (I think). It would be great to see a review of their S&W M29 when it's available, a few Dirty Harry impressions wouldn't go amiss either.

    What I really wish the manufacturers would come up with is a .22 gas powered handgun capable of at least 450 fps. I do not care at all for blow back and I would be happy if the CO2 cartridge would last at least for 30 shots. I'm not sure any of the manufacturers make a gas powered .22 at all since the old Crosman (460 I think) Of the late 1960's. What do you think Andy?

    I'm almost at the point where these pistols annoy me now. No blowback, no power and made of plastic so other than it looking nice what does it have? You can get the sig sauer P226 for around the same money which has around the same power. But it's also made of metal, has blowback, a better magazine and more features like a threaded barrel and a de-cocking lever. Making these pistols is just a waste of time as far as I'm concerned and I really hope more companies don't start following the trend.

    • @DeadMeat991
      @DeadMeat991 ปีที่แล้ว

      Blowback is a negative feature for shooting, if it doesn't fully recock the pistol.

  • @keithnorman3519

    How many more times, use copper coated lead bbs, plain lead ( better in revolvers) or dust devils . None of which will ricochet.

    We need a .22 or .25, drop out, blowback pellet eater no one does it and I'll spend extra on Co2. Customers will pay a premium happily lets go VA or Umarex. Make the sights ajustable and the grips customizable with an upper and lower picatinny rail. Thank you very much. Or if anyone can point me in the right direction.

      Umarex do have now a blowback Walther PPQ with a full-sized magazine that contains a belt for pellets and the co2.cartridge.
      But I think it has not completely been released yet. The release date of it was postponed once already. Originally shoulda been out already.. Been waiting for it's release for quite some time now already..

      There is the SIG M17 with all those goodies. Just let down by sights that shoot low and can't be replaced. The SIG air reflex sight might show up one day in the UK but expect it to be IRO £100 vs. $50 in the US 🤬
