The thing I love the most about this series is all the "small heroes" who are only in one or two repairs, sometimes only a scene, who save lives or even the world. The Martian Lieutenant in episode 4 ; the Belter who helps Naomi evacuate the refugees ; the two sailors who die stopping the end of all human life in this episode ; the poor electrician who helps Avasarala escape ; and even more to come. In just a few scenes you get an entire story and character, and their actions are just as important as the main characters and without them all would have been lost.

Just to add on to that: I think the only other hint (apart from when she reacts weirdly to Prax talking about kids when they first met as the crew mentioned) is in season 1. During the Donnager battle Naomi and Amos are holding hands and she says that 'she didn't even get to say goodbye' and Amos aks 'to who?' to which she replies 'it doesn't matter' or something along those lines. *Very light spoiler ahead* And I suppose her deal with Fred.

Triple Point and Immolation - in my very humble opinion - will go down as two of the Greatest episodes in television history! ...next to the finale of Black Sails.
Season two finale of Black Sails is the Greatest episode in television history, followed closely by the season three finale “Long ...... John...... Silver”. Goosebumps every rewatch. For The Expanse my favorite was “Home” (when I realized this show was REALLY something special) but this episode and the next are top tier. Other favorites are the season three finale and “Guagamela” in season five. Such a great show! I remember especially during season three being blown away every single episode when it got better and better each week, and barely anyone was talking about it online drove me nuts.
The order to destroy ships that didn't follow orders have been given in real life. In World War 1 some British officers were heard to order those who refused to leave the trenches or advance be shot. In the Normandy landings, there were orders to destroy landing craft that attempted to avoid landing at the beaches. In fact, one landing craft helmsman saw he was heading for the wrong beach and tried to get back on course. He barely avoided a destroyer that attempted to run him down, when its captain assumed he was making a run to escape. The planners were concerned if one panicked it would spread and infect all the other craft. After all, you have to understand they were assuming the absolute worst could and would happen. Even if they won, they were expecting huge losses. They knew the men knew this as well and that some were likely to lose their nerve. So any panic or disobedience had to nipped in the bud.
This middle stretch of episodes in season 3 is easily some of the best Expanse ever written. Love this season! And love how you keep having hope for Jules Pierre Mao but……… And EFF admiral Nyguen!
