I’m just getting started in transformer winding. I’d like to pick up your pdf’s. I don’t build amplifiers though, I build a lot of line level and preamplifier designs. I assume that your spreadsheets will transfer to that application?
Hi Matt, Thanks for you inquiry, yes, as a matter of fact I'm using the same spreadsheet for line and mic pre output transformers, so you can use it for many different applications just as well!
What a crime, to cannibalise a perfectly working antique Grundig TK 14 tape recorder. This is vandalism in my humble opinion. It is still possible to obtain a matched pair of ECL 86 output valves without destroying a piece of history. Breaks my heart to watch such selfish wanton destruction.
A useful video, for those who wish to learn how to punch holes in a chassis. No technical merit whatsoever, for folks wanting to build a tube amplifier. The song at 14:05 makes matters even worse. Yikes. Other than that, it’s a solid video.
He's lying, the filaments are not even lit. The PCB inside the box is a cheap class D stereo amp found on eBay. The tubes do nothing. He just wants you to download and buy his transformer app.

6.5 ohms is an unusual secondary impedance value? How did you cut the rectangular hole for the IEC socket?
congratulate you on this project! is it possible can you share the diagram? I'd like to do it! since I have the valves ECL86!
Did you get the diagram as requested?

Good morning friend! I congratulate you on this project! is it possible can you share the diagram? I'd like to do it! since I have the valves PCL86!
Excellent
Thank you!
That sounded like Elvis on the tape
Hi, nice job.
I wanted to ask how the tool to make the tube hole is called, where can i find it?
Thanks! It's called a screw-hole punch and I've bought mine from here:

@@Delatsch Thanks a lot, some years ago I used this web shop, but completely forgot it name!
@@olegiakovlev2757 You are welcome, they have good stuff for reasonable prices usually.
This is awesome. Thanks for the information.
Thank you!

Delatsch very cool. Thanks for making such great videos.
Awesome work.. you keen to build and sell? I will love to own 1 that is powered by 300b tube, as a headphone amp or speaker preamp
Thank you! I currently don't have any such design, but if I will in the future I will let you know.
Very nice build .
Thank you!
Nice work. Amazing what one valve can do when given a good transformer.
Thanks! Yeah, it's quite impressive, especially as a headphone amp!
So is that a 4 watt per side amplifier?
More like 3W, but it's more than enough for home listening in my opinion.
@@Delatsch for me it wouldn’t but maybe some it would. 4x7408 push pull is just enough for me. 6v6GT.
Hello. Were can i download a pc or android version of the output transformer calculator?
www.delatsch.com/shop/
is an ecl 86 equilant to an el84 or 6bq5?
No, ECL86 is two tubes in one. So, something like one half of ECC83 and EL84 in one glass envelope.
@@Delatsch a 6GW8 is the same. I have one here but I’d never seen one in a amp before. Glad I kept it. It does look like 2 tubes in one envelope.
THE GOOD WORK👍👍👍
Есть лампы 6Ф5П (6GV8/ECL85), можно сделать.
감사합니다. Good song.... Great! tube amplife
Thank you!
Aw, too bad to sacrifice a working reel to reel recorder. I love old reel to reel machines.
You can always put new tubes in of course.
Circuit digram please
what is name of the song at 1:05?
I don't know, it was on some old tape I got with the machine.
would u consider selling it to me....

You can still put the tubes back into Grundig, I really don't see any problem with it? Where exactly do you see vandalism in that?
He just took the tubes out you dunce.
Hi fi? Lol no but good soundig amp ? Yes

This was not a tutorial video on how to build tube amplifiers. Other than that, it's a solid comment.
I must have misread the title of the video, where you mention ECL86 and amplifier build.

Haha, what a conspiracy :) Not just the app, you should have mentioned the spreadsheets and transformer parts too!
@@Delatsch Wow people are jealous haha. The only thing I'd complain about here is the drill job under one of the tubes. Well, shit happens. :D
