I think a point worth considering for Phoenix Blade is that in Maze Of Millenia we're getting a replacement that is once per turn, Phoenixx Gearblade.
the "replacement" doesnt replace its use at all tho. different use is obv apparent for sure
Watching this after the banlist, your takes are probably the closest I've seen on TH-cam to reality.
Sharvara is the only archetypal handtrap that Unchained has. It plays into Triple Tactics Talent, because it can ONLY activate in the Main phase. YCS winner Joshua played practically his entire turn in the Battle Phase. I feel like Sharvara is the only thing keeping Unchained competitive. Any less than 2 makes it a trash deck, IMHO.
Yep its the ONLY card that makes the deck stand against meta deck, hitting makes no sense to me. When you look at the meta decks there is so many cards to hit, it is still a rogue deck.
If they want to hit Unchained, they should do it by hitting Tour Guide and Prosp.
Pretty good predictions solemn, they all seem to be right on the spot.
I think if they touch Fenrir, they will probably do it to two. It is mainly good for breaking boards or having a form of disruption, however for non-Kashtira decks, you are banking on drawing it in your opening hand, and having it at two will make that a lot more difficult, especially if Prosp gets hit. Pure Kashtira is in a good spot right now, and hitting it down to 0 or even 1 will hurt it, especially after the obvious prosp hit.
Also if they touch it at all, I am hoping they will bring Unicorn to three. Fenrir is at two in Master Duel even with Arise Heart, and only Kashtira decks are mainly using it. In the OCG, it is completely banned only because of it's broken boss monster really.
Why do you think prosperity would be banned or limited?
@@hector_here9790 In a game filled with one card starters, the card is just downright broken. You draw five/six in your hand, then you can dig six more cards deep. It will most def get limited to one just like in the OCG.
if there only putting fenrir at 2 then touching it is pointless. people are still going to play those 2. its great discard fodder and a good interruption. also it doesnt break boards lol. its FARR weaker thank pank
@@giovannilawes9120 It helps break boards because it forces your opponent to respond to it. It is worse than Pank, for sure, I never said it was better.
Putting it to two is just to make it harder to draw it in your opening hand. Fenrir isn't even a problem card. In YCS Bologna out of the top 16 decks, only 3 had fenrir in it (One of which just had it in the sideboard). I say putting it at 2 is fair if it is really a problem for Konami.
I would ban or limit neo space connector over aqua dolphin, as connector is more for link plays outside the archetype and modern neos decks dont really play it.

I really hope you're wrong about Sleepy Memory. It's the first real meta deck I've been able to own. TTT won't go to 1. They just reprinted it in the Rarity collection. But they did not reprint Thrust though. Big Welcome to 1 would smush Lab. Calamity was just re-released in RDA so doubt a ban.

My favorite shadoll card is wallow now. All seriousness I don't think Konami will do much especially in the bann department, limits and unhits will probably be this upcoming bann list. No deck is best deck and the format isn't solved, their are just so many contenders right now not even Konami will know what to truly hit other than consistency.

Beatrice ban would be sad. But it does seem fair. I just like burning abyss. And even though they finally aren't good anymore it would likely destroy any future possibility if Beatrice is banned.

All this labrynth hate and it’a never WON a YCS, floo recently won cancun and there’s 0 floo cards hit. It literally just frustrating to play against but has never been a dominant deck or the best deck. I don’t get it. If you want to ban toxic cards like D Barrier or Erad I’d understand but what did labrynth actually do to warrant hits to archetypal cards?

I'm honestly praying to the stars your right about prosp and triple tac getting hit...but not for the reasons you might expect. it's mainly for personal reasons. you see, im a budget barry and whenever i want to build a deck and ask advice from other players, the go to response i get for draw/search is "play prosp and triple tac". now to their credit, it's good advice because they are general busted cards, with that said, i generally cannot afford those cards due to my low budget.
it's even worse nowadays because whenever i try to dispute this, the common response is "they were reprinted in rarity collection, of course you can buy them" and that was something i was considering...and then scalpers started bulk buying the reprints thus inflating the prices so that i can't afford them again (and ya'll wonder why people choose to play traps decks more these days. thank you pot of extrav) so in the end, when people suggest that, it comes off as naive at best and condescending at worse (they don't intend it that way to be clear so there is that atleast)
maybe this is a financial me issue but at the end of the day, I guess Im just getting sick of being reminded of what's not financially available for me to make my deck better and i have no ill will towards the people who suggest those cards. they are only trying to help after all. I just hope one day i can find some cheaper alternatives to those cards without having to sell a kidney lol.

What if Konami just made a list of illegal card combinations? If you have x card in your deck, you can't use y card.

I don't really see a reason to limit Shavara. I think banning Caesar and making people rely on the Darius/Machinex play to replace is a sufficient way to nerf Unchained without making them unable to function as at least a rouge deck. They need to take away Caesar because it makes it to easy to stop your opponent from making a board. They don't need to hit consistency and they can always bring Caesar back when they give d/d/d support again.

Hitting Sleepy Memory to 1 does not make any sense since you don't want to kill Purrely at this point in time. And that's what putting both Sleepy (Because of OCG) and Delicious (Because of TCG) did in Worlds. The reason for that is pretty obvious: We don't have a direct searcher for the Memories that isn't RNG based (My Friend Purely is RNG based, remember) and if there's something that is pretty much disliked by players in any card game is having to rely heavily on RNG to do something
Banning Kelbek and Agido might kill Tearlaments (as the deck is so undeservingly butchered that they're become too dependent of a bunch of cards that are not even part of a archetype to basically be something) but will prove a point: The Ishizu Cards, from the offset, were so overtuned that they should have never existed to begin with and the cards deserved to be hit the most in the February 2023 banlist. If the Ishizu cards never existed in TCG, Tearlaments would've been hit so differently in that banlist (Kitkallos, Planet and Merlli to 1 and both Havnis and Scheiren to 2) rather than the butcher's list we got in the TCG specially considering that Kashtira was going to be Full Power weeks later, which would cause Tearlaments to fade into the lower tiers since, while playable, would not be able to compete well against Arise-Heart

No, I just HEAVILY disagree with how Konami handles ban lists. I despise how often they are used for selling product instead of balancing the game. I made this very clear in the video. Hence why I don’t believe such hits should happen. I fundamentally disagree with why they would.

I think that at some point, we have to stop revolving around the Isolde problem by banning other cards that didn't ask anyone for anything...
Isolde has already proven how stupid the card is and does everything in combo decks, she's the real problem.
We saw it several time the power of this card, even in Jeffrey's Exodia deck, whose entire combo started from this simple card, and even in combo decks that are not essentialy Warrior monsters...

Isolde ban or limit can see, because it really enables some decks to extend for largely untouchable boards (mainly infernobles).
Tearlaments I think is fine. It's random, praying you mill decently well. I think it's honestly fine as is.
Pot of Prosperity ban makes 0 sense, because after having just gotten it affordable, you ban it and now kill off a lot of the casual players who were missing this for their decks. I think Prosperity to 1 is honestly fine.
Purrely with a hit to Sleepy should be good enough.
Unchained is weird. I guess Shavara hit is the good one, but not sure here.
Runick hitting Tip to 1 would be good. Fountain at 1 would just outright kill the deck anyways, but Tip to 1 hurts, as you said, consistency.
Triple Tactics Talents should just be outright banned. Draw 2 (going +1), hand knowledge, or a non-targetting change of heart. That's way way way too strong.
I love Kashtira, but Fenrir being hit is inevitable. Fenrir to 2 is significant, though the likely hit is to 1.
And Labrynth just needs furniture hits to 1. If not that, either a Big Welcome or a Welcome Labrynth hit is necessary (semi on both would help).

I'm sorry, you shouldn't be able to activate traps that leads to handloops and flood gates on the very first turn.
Put fenrir to 1, put pot or max c to 1, bring called by to 2, bring time seal t9 2, instant fusion to 1, ban runic fountain. And limit Evenly

Hitting calamity would be a huge mistake considering the fact that a lot of non meta synchro decks need this card to play against these extremely broken boards currently in the meta. They should just nerf broken decks to not being able to summon it that easy
