LISZT 12 Transcendental Etudes
Yunchan Lim launched onto the international music stage when he was 14. He won second prize and the Chopin Special Award in his first-ever competition, the Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists in 2018. That same year, he stood out as the youngest participant in the Cooper International Competition, where he won the third prize and the audience prize, which provided the opportunity for him to perform with the Cleveland Orchestra. 2019 meant more accolades, when, at the age of 15, he was the youngest to win Korea’s IsangYun International Competition, where he also took home two special prizes.
Now just 18, he has performed across South Korea-including with the Korean Orchestra Festival, Korea Symphony, Suwon Philharmonic, and Busan Philharmonic Orchestras, among others-as well as in Madrid, at the invitation of the Korea Cultural Center in Spain. He also participated in the recording of “2020 Young Musicians of Korea,” organized by the Korean Broadcasting System and released that November.
A native of Siheung, Yunchan currently studies at the Korea National University of Arts under Minsoo Sohn. Coming to Fort Worth, he says he is “looking forward to playing in front of the warmest and most passionate audience in the world.” - เพลง
it feels illegal watching this video for free. never in my life have i been so excited when i hear someone playing the Mazeppa. I was actually holding my breath at some points. and as other comments have already said, me neither cant describe that pianist. My jaw is on the floor.

This was the moment I knew the competition was over. No one was going to come close to him technically, and that tends to go a long way in these competitions. I still can’t believe he played all of these etudes in one sitting and barely missed any notes. I would have needed help to walk off the stage if I ever attempted this feat!
And he went beyond the technique, every etudes exuding with such deep emotions with delicacy and power I never knew existed in this piece
@@Dh-uj8pr and the fact that the etudes was only in the semifinals meaning he probably put even more effort into his rach and Beethoven
Think his Wilde jagd was more impressive in my opinion but his chasse neige was also on point

He's only 18 so not that many nights. I view piano technique as more mental blockage than physical blockage. It's not like working out to gain muscle mass. It's truly an intelligence thing

im also pianist 18 year old and i dont actually get frightened any of yunchan lims piece performances except rach concertos and etc i have fear of team playing... i can see mysslf in future playing all of these pieces playing with no problem byt the only thing that frightens me is still age... he has soooooooooooo big collection of knowledge between composers and pieces at that age he is just 18 year old bruh thats just sooooo amaizing that it inspires me to practise even more to grow up even faster to to him one of my inspiration from young pianists XD ❤❤❤❤❤ there is no argue he can be easily recognised as a professional pianist already i mean masterful professional 😊😊😊😊

@@versavice5293 Yunchan yes, he practice 12 hours a day, he starts 13:00 pm to 3 or 4 am of the night
