    Hello, im having some problems with my fuel pump, its leaking from the sides and fuel is going to the outer side of the membrane, blocking it, any clue why this is happening? I have a velosolex Orbea with its original fuel pump.

      Sure. You're looking for more torque. A bigger carburettor does the trick. Sold on our shop solexdeal.com

    Any idea where I can get info on converting to a gravity fed carb? I hate the diaphragm pulse system. Thought there are some racing versions set up with a bar top fuel tank but I was wondering what carb they use since it would need a float. I could be wrong about what I saw but that's how it looked to me. I was thinking of trying a small carb for a China girl but haven't had time to try it out. I won't go back to riding a Solex unless I can ditch the stock fuel system, it's a terrible design IMO.

    • @SolexNederland
      @SolexNederland  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The stock system actually works fine. Our racing Solex reaches 55 kph and is faster then a modern Vespa. The setup you mention is used in French racing community and they are very active on Facebook. (Search for VeloSolex race france or something, I don't speak Baguette). The float carb is fed from the side by the way, through the crankcase lid.

    Can You please explain to me why I see carburetors that have a plastic filter while on mine there is some sort of brass insert? Furthermore, this insert doesn't even have a hole.

      There is an option to automaticly translate the video in English. It is rubbish but I checked the English version and some words are correct. You should be able to understand what I say with the translation.

    what material did you say the engine was made of ? is it not aluminium ?

    • @SolexNederland
      @SolexNederland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The crankcase? That's made out of Zamac. An aluminium alloy. So both are correct.
