Help me to understand why any Ford plant would hold up an order for a Tonneau cover when they could ship the vehicle and just send the cover later for the dealership to install? Doing whatever it takes to satisfy the customer should be priority one! I'm quite certain that I can speak for everyone who placed an order that included a Tonneau cover, they would gladly except delivery of the vehicle and wait patiently for the cover to arrive later. Seems like a no brainer to me! Thanks a bunch Dave for your channel.
Oh I know what you mean. I suppose that is the difference between manufacturer and dealer? We see a way around the problem and offer a solution. This past year has been insane. Just trying to make the best of it.
Bruh, I wish I seen this before I ordered my Tremor. Unreal that a spray in Bedliner and wheel liners are slowing my order. Scheduled for production July 18, it's now August 5. Thought it would've been done by now...
WOW! Yeah we don't see many high end trucks since they require the most parts. I'm not sure what to tell you on that. Just to give you an idea -- I've seen maybe 1 Limited F-150 in the last 12 months.
FoMoCo needs to honor the order. They need to make the base package and any installation options should be pasted onto the Dealer to handle when available. This passing on the responsibility to the customer is BS. The customer has bent over backwards to a manufacture problem about greed by FOMOCO driving up a demand that they made happen.
My Ford dealer called and said if I removed the Luxury package and the 360 package from my XLT I'd get it sooner. If I drop those things from my order, why would I buy the truck? Doesn't affect me, my Santa Cruz is sweet. My sons on the other hand aren't too happy...
Thanks Dave. Those constraints, combined with the microchip shortage, sure make it tough times to try to get things built. My Maverick (ordered with you guys) was scheduled for the week of Feb 28 but got pushed out to Mar 28, probably due to some of those issues.
Okay, I ordered a '22 Ranger Super Cab and Ford confirmed it on 02/21/22. Hot Pepper Red / Group 302A / FX4 / Spray In Bed liner / Black running boards / Trailer Tow Package. MSRP $40410.00 Got a delay notice on 04/07/22. Any thoughts? Thanks, D
I ordered my truck October 2021 it stared build date was February 2022 it’s completion date was march 8 still waiting for shipping it’s been promised 5 times supposed to be in transit still waiting not even at the dealer yet no one can tell me why.
Our Bronco is built, but the delivery date changed from 2-11 to 5-12. I'm assuming it's a chip shortage issue. Thanks for the info sir! I've not seen salesman offering this behind the scenes glimpse.

These are older restraints from February. Things are slowly getting better month but month
I ordered a platinum f-150 on November 3rd. I still haven’t got a Vin# yet. I had the max recline seats, spray in liner and wheel liner.

Ford customer relations should at least contact people to let them know what they can take off to get their order sooner.

My f-150 showed up at the end of March. 502A package with wheel liners and bedliner. Ordered Nov 27 2021.

Doesn't surprise me. Some plants have been going offline for a week then back up another week. Hang in there.

Same thing happened to my built Maverick. Est delivery date went from 2/21 to 5/21. Ordered 7/1. Hopefully we get them sooner rather than later.
Just think, it is sitting outside in some giant parking lot somewhere. Imagine whatt a hailstorm would do to their inventory...?
Ordered a F150 XL back on Dec 13 and production date has been pushed back twice now from Feb 14 to Feb 21 to now Feb 28.
They are also running into chip issues again
