I think PA 4x is more realistic. The midi sampling samples are 10x more realistic than the other PA x/PA 300-900 series. Tyros 5 is a bit realistic because the "Audio Styles" are a favorite feature of all time.
The "classic violin" setting in the left hand ... oh, my! What an awesome sound. Don't have to go to the doctor to get a "goose bump" check, that's for sure. All of them are working after this. Thank you for showing this. So awesome!
+XxSamir22xX I got my factory new Tyros 5 (76 key) just slightly above $3,800 in Sep 2014. I did a lot of internet searching, made phone calls. Couldn't pass up that deal.
As a T5 owner I have to say I prefer the Korg P4 sadly I purchased my T5 when it first launched before the P4 was in the making so to speak. Both have good and bad points but I just feel the P4 has the edge and it is certainly comes with much better build quality than the T5 which is not great whatsoever, and the P4 Keys are much more refined for playing on. This is based on my RL experiences, as for this video it highlights good and weak pros and cons of both machines. Best thing to do is get to play them for real than order online.
Don’t regret like small child. Korg is midi based instrument sounds Yamaha T5 is original make and built quality is supreme from bloody korg. Pa4x is not much matters
The Pa4X is as good as the Tyros 5 and rivals the genos. Why ? Because the Genos is a Tyros 5 + ! (Maybe a tyros 6 ?) But the Genos is new ... If it has to be compared, it must be with the korg that will arrive soon : the Pa5X

Both are very good and even with similar benefits, but there are very important factors that make me lean by Korg, especially in terms of its operating system, memory ROM and effects, as in relation to the construction of one another, that Korg is certainly much higher, with better materials and more compact in the subject of sounds ..., some in the Yamaha are better than the Pax4, but others are in the Korg, so being so similar in that sense and taking into account the above feel that the balance tips for Korg, all this must be added the price, as it is rather more cheap, with around US $ 1500 less than the Yamaha, in any versions (76 or 61 keys) is another factor that is on the side of the aesthetic and it is a matter of taste, but for me, color is horrible Tyros and next the materials with which they have built and the colored lights, they do see tecladito toy. We must also be clear that Pax4 is not a simple update as it is in the case of Tyros 5, but is a totally New and revised, for all that and if we take into account what I mentioned about the best operating system Korg and effects as the decision is clear, the Pa4X is definitely the smartest choice
Both nice but PA4X is in the "professional keyboard" category..Korg's styles far superior IMHO. It's all subjective - great demo but really not a true comparison.
They are equally excellent. The same purpose of playing good sounds , songs and composing new idea in songs. Just the difference in the taste of the buyers. Whatever the choice you choose, it's definitely awesome!!!
Korg Pa4x sounds like a good arranger keyboard. Yamaha Tyros 5 sounds like a real band in every way. But they´re both good. Pa4x trumpet is impressive.
The Tyros is gone, yet the PA4X lives on. Even in it's 'old' age, it's still better than the Genos, too! Long Live the PA4X, or, at least until the PA5X comes along!
Great demo but it was better if you set the right e mount of loudness by mastercompressor/maximazer in each keyboard ! i love these keyboard but my impression on the different category is: concert grand-string-epiano ......pa4x organ -violin ...........tyros5 flute - clarinet ....pa4x sax ......tyros 5 nylon - jazz guitar-bossa nova ...pa4x blues -bigband style .....tyros 5 ballad style ......tyros5=pa4x just different taste rock chacha .....pa4x regards
Sorry, I see each one has an advantage over the other since the demo is so short. This demo does not give me clarity at all. I have both instruments. From an 'instrument sound' viewpoint I like the Tyros. I sold my Korg. So i have auditioned each extensively with EON 15" powered speakers. I liked the Korg's ability to create total new Rhythms from scratch. But I do not want to take the time to do so. I also have the Kronos x and its [out of the box} acoustic pianos and EP 's are great and better than the Tyros and Pax. The Tyros's AC piano is much more alive and robost when midi'd from a hammer weighted controller. HUGE sound difference. Must be the weighted keys 'attack'. Appreciate your insight.
the demo sound with ethereal, I'm wondering which style he uses on the PA4X (can see the light tempo on the start button) whereas we are sure it's a free play style on the Tyros 5. If anyone knows about this ? Thanks !
I just bought korg pa4x and my best partner has tyros 5. I must say for the moment korg pa4x is a step ahead. In live performance korg sounds more like a real band and its new sound engine gives a huge boost. It sounds more clear. BUT! Tyros 5 has something that I call divine. It sounds so peaceful and not so sharp like korg. BUT again korg sounds more realistic. For home tyros 5 is the best. For live performance korg. BOTH sounds so real even an experienced ear sometimes can't tell if its a real band recording or an arranger especially with the korg engine.
I own Tyros 5 and loving it with no regrets. This video did not show the Audio Styles of Tyros 5, the realistic drums, the multi pads and articulations 1 & 2. Voices wise, I can say they are at the same caliber. Yamaha Tyros 5 has the most versatility with Song Styles though, as they have hundreds of thousands of it on the internet universe. Bought my song styles from EU and UK. Song Style means it is the style of a song programmed to play as the real song's accompaniment complete with multi pads. The expansion of styles and voices from Yamaha's website are phenomenal, they have everything from any musical genres. The expansion memory can be maxed out to 2 GB flash memory. It has a 500GB of Hard Drive. Wifi and apps for iPad, It has a USB connection for storage and back up for Registrations, Styles, Midi's songs. T5 is Blind musician friendly- hence the buttons on the display and big flashing lights. Not all blind musicians are totally blind, others are legally blind and they can feel and still see the buttons.
angeloarco I agree. The tyros 5 is an excellent keyboard. Though I've never purchased any song styles from Yamaha, because I have several USB memory sticks with thousands of Roland, Korg and Yamaha styles and all of tyros 1. 2. 3. And 4 styles
As for me ....the much talked about audio styles are much ado about nothing .....you listen very well to Latin audio styles on d T5 ...not so much different ....in some cases they just add some vocalizations, hand claps and nothing distinct. If you really want good audio styles listen to Audya.....I reali dont know why those keyboards are not popular ....what are their sales engineers doing? Anyway I don't own Audya
The winner is the person who can afford both. I have a PA800, which I love. I've also had a PA80, and iX300, and I tend to stick to Korg, but Yamaha has always had great sounds, and I still think they do here, as well. Korg has caught up, and in some cases, passed Yamaha in sound development. However, each has strengths and weaknesses, and having both would be a total and complete way to make, produce and even play live music.
YAMAHA has benn leading the industry since 2007. To now, Korg and Roland is catching up with YAMAHA quite fast. It seems YAMAHA is ralatively slowing down in the creative technoloy (that's normal). I had my first Roland FA series synth last summer and I'm quite pleased with the sound for the affordable price. Previous to that date, my rigs were in YAMAHA brand. Korg PA4X is doing good and its thick sound (abandunt sound in mid-range frequencies) appealing to me. I hope Korg can do better until next keyboard generation I'll have one.
Two very good instruments.. Yamaha Tyros piano falls short by miles, but thats not the most important part of an Arranger. The performance with styles sounds a bit more realistic on the PA4x.. Tough one must say that some of the strong points of the Tyros 5 like Organ world and ensembles didnt make the comparrison because Korg does not have anything to offer in that area.. In the end, i would be happy with both of these, but there is no reason to exchange my T5 for a PA4x.
The audience doesn't hear the differences with these pianos. I agree with your statement about the Tyros piano concerning timbre quality in 'this' demo. In a real venue performance it does not matter. The styles are not in depth enough here and you need to hear them live in a real room for each board.
Hi 🤪👍 Justin- I’m just in time” ha / to catch this demo late ; a little short to really tell but I personally say the “ Korg “ has the edge on piano surprises me ‘ as Yamaha usually is tops ! I’m still watching the old nostalgia demos as some new boards are putting me off ? 🤷♂️oldie Mike Taylor = cheers to you 🍷🕺✅
Beautiful playing! I have to sell my car to buy one of these! I must say that I'm used to Yamaha buttons, I never had a Korg arranger... although the touch LCD is better, the other buttons all the same size, color... for a live presentation, I think Tyros is better, more shortcut buttons so you can distinguish them better. Is Korg Pa4X with heavy keys???
Aggree. Tyros has much larger buttons that light up when engaged. A great aid in live performance. Tyros has much more realistic sound "content" for immediate call up for live performances. I have both and have sold the Korg in favor of the Tyros's immediate ease of use. The Tyros does not lend itself to creating your own Rhythym Styles. The Korg does. The Tyros instrument sounds are near perfect...every one of them.
Addition; the Tyros instrument voicings in this video are only a few presented. Generally I suggest this comparison is not a fair one to either board due to time constraints. I suggest viewers audition the manufacturer demos for more quality control.
The Tyros instrument sounds are near perfect...every one of them. But not in this demo. Demo each board live with the same headset or 15" stereo speakers. Then you will know.
The reason you say the 'truth' is because like me you have both boards. Like me you have auditioned the heck out of these boards. I am refering 'only" to ease of use and the [Yamaha] impressive sound quality of the instruments sound and the fact that Yamaha used "pro drummers" to make the drum tracks...not machines. This demo does not help either board. It is not in depth and too short.
Some things are better in one and others in the other. This is not a fair/real comparison because you can equalize and memorize acomp.s to sound very similarly; Yamaha is generally more reverbed and bright, but the percussion is not as loud/present as Korg. But Yamaha's acomp.s are richer and Korgs sounds simpler/not so grand. With Korg you have to enrich (program...) the acomp. with multipad sequences (4?) to obtain the same orchestration richness of Yamaha, and with Yamaha you have to take out a little softness/reverb and pull up the perc. vol. The ideal situation would be having them both on stage... :)) p.s. - i have the old Yamaha 9000 Pro and in some rhythms is far better than much recent Korg's Pa3x (namely the ballroom walzes, passdoble, sambas, mambos, latins, etc.).
Man I been a Yamaha all this years never thought twice on Korg , but this demonstration sounds like korg sound processor seems little realistic over My Yamaha. I'm going to check this Pa4X myself and listen to it.
I still don't think there is any company out there that can get solo violins to sound like a violin. I don't get it....especially with sampling capabilities these days.
Clearly the Electone organ has it all...why mess around with a single keyboard when you can two keyboards, a bass pedals, much better amplification than a keyboard? Even using aux out to a stereo or other amplification systems will not change the tone quality, just makes it louder. Yes, I own an EL87 and an HS6, older Electones, but they still make the music!
both keyboards are good .yamaha's let down is that the keyboard doesn't have good touch which the keys don't get louder compared to korg and you can't get much expression out of it unless you use the expression pedal .the korg keys are very good plenty of expression in and it has thicker sounds than t5
I have both my only problem is which one to play. the tyros is much much much more left hand user friendly, sustain on or off for example, with a better layout. org has a better loud low end when playing out, can overpower a bass guitar, thats right, its hot!
My honest opinion it’s like comparing apples and oranges they both sound great there are a lot of things that the Yamaha sound terrible like it’s piano it’s absolutely awful does not sound like a piano at all. The Korg has more realistic Piano but as for brass instruments the Yamaha wins. I think Yamaha always had the best Woodwind and brass instruments for guitars and basses they both have a tire up because I like both of them for different genres of music it’s the same thing saying with synthesizer sounds pads and will eat apples and oranges. when it comes to the background rhythm arrangements I have to say that both of them to have their characteristics but my absolute favorite is the Korg because when you hit a major minor or seventh chord everything changes and everything is different plus you can manipulate the styles the way how you want it on the fly. Yamaha really has to work on that they cannot do it as flawlessly as Korg. another thing that the Korg can do is load samples and sound funds which gives it more of a broad library you can make your own sounds and you can also still sounds off of the Yamaha if you need to.
It is clear that these gentlemen like more Korg demonstrations is heard on the game and I would say that Tyros is reduced sound quality there clarinet sounds better than the master shows :) And also other sounds. Otherwise, both tools are top :)
who agrees clicks on like?👦🎹Yamaha is the best because it has more beautiful sounds for being besides realistic better timed and produced and more futuristic.
I know this is five years old, but man, the Solo violin on each one doesn't sound good at all. I guess I am just so used to my Joshua Bell Violin VST. Wish they would pack something like that in these.
If it's all about styles. The Korg doesn't stand a chance against the Tyros realism. Take for example Korg's "Swing Band". It sounds so mechanical and low hifi as compared to the Tyros.
I am biased to korg but sounds on yamaha are awesome .. think sounds more acoustic natural but don't like their design ..korg looks like the real thing
Korg Pa4x is the winner - hands down. Yamaha guyz are trying very hard to compare their newer machines to this Pa4x .....It even stood out very well against their almighty Geno's n beat it - even though it has some good perculier functions to be honest. And korg is also delaying their release of their Pa5x ....or PaGenos o ....nobody knows....
Piano Yamaha Strings Yamaha E piano Korg Clasical pipe organ Yamaha Solo viola Korg Clarinet The example is bad . Eror in chuzing the best Yamaha clarinet. Guitar Yamaha Style bosa and instruments Yamaha Style beat contry and instruments Korg Jazz style Yamaha Balad style Yamaha Rock Style Yamaha
Yamaha still wins, but they have to improve their pianos and brass voices. There touch screen of pa4x is more easy to operate than tyros. Is no doubt that Roland is going to lost in the Arranger Keyboard's race
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this review. It’s really helped me learn a lot more about both of these boards.
I think PA 4x is more realistic. The midi sampling samples are 10x more realistic than the other PA x/PA 300-900 series. Tyros 5 is a bit realistic because the "Audio Styles" are a favorite feature of all time.
They would both make it onto my short list. They sounds just fantastic.
The "classic violin" setting in the left hand ... oh, my! What an awesome sound. Don't have to go to the doctor to get a "goose bump" check, that's for sure. All of them are working after this. Thank you for showing this. So awesome!
The new KING arranger keyboard it's KORG Pa4x DIAMANTUL. Congratulations KORG
Sunt interesat sa cumpar una dintre cele doua!Suna bine amandoua doar ca yamaha am mai avut,as incerca korg!
I'm a Korg guy but man..I have to say both sound really really good, my respect for this 2 amazing keyboards/brands.
Great demo, thanks... And the winner is... Having both would be great :-)
+Roland Gerard Glad that you like it Roland. Wouldn't it just... haha. Decisions, decisions!
+Jim Jones lol Ikr
dont forget pa4x is 3800$ while the tyros 5 is 5250$ both of them sound great but the price of the tyros 5 isnt so great

EXELENTE COMENTARIO..

Don’t regret like small child. Korg is midi based instrument sounds
Yamaha T5 is original make and built quality is supreme from bloody korg.
Pa4x is not much matters
Please do a comparison between Genos and tha Pa4X
Thanks!

But the Genos is new ...
If it has to be compared, it must be with the korg that will arrive soon : the Pa5X
Both are very good and even with similar benefits, but there are very important factors that make me
lean by Korg, especially in terms of its operating system, memory
ROM and effects, as in relation to the construction of one another, that
Korg is certainly much higher, with better materials and more compact in
the subject of sounds ..., some in the Yamaha are better than the
Pax4, but others are in the Korg, so being so similar in that
sense and taking into account the above feel that the balance tips
for Korg, all this must be added the price, as it is rather more
cheap, with around US $ 1500 less than the Yamaha, in any
versions (76 or 61 keys) is another factor that is on the side of the aesthetic
and it is a matter of taste, but for me, color is horrible Tyros and next
the materials with which they have built and the colored lights, they do
see tecladito toy. We must also be clear that Pax4 is not
a simple update as it is in the case of Tyros 5, but is a totally
New and revised, for all that and if we take into account what I mentioned
about the best operating system Korg and effects as the decision is
clear, the Pa4X is definitely the smartest choice
Both nice but PA4X is in the "professional keyboard" category..Korg's styles far superior IMHO.
It's all subjective - great demo but really not a true comparison.
Just because you name one thing "professional" it does mean it makes it so... Former owner of Pa4x, actual owner of Tyros 5.
@@Chris0101 Cool - I own both - Tyros not as conducive to performing and recording live - both nice keyboards though :-)
korg for ever!
They are equally excellent. The same purpose of playing good sounds , songs and composing new idea in songs. Just the difference in the taste of the buyers. Whatever the choice you choose, it's definitely awesome!!!
Tyros 5, a lenda.
. SERA TAN DEBIL SU ESTRUCTURA?
Nice demo, is it possible to compare Yamaha s770 vs Roland bk 5
Korg Pa4x sounds like a good arranger keyboard. Yamaha Tyros 5 sounds like a real band in every way. But they´re both good. Pa4x trumpet is impressive.
Very attractive piece with very pleasant voices
What's the name of the song starting at 8:08? Kinda popular one. Thanks.
PLEASE COMPARE pa4x with genos
This will be coming in the next week hopefully :)
thank you for a great video- nothing between them -not sure if the tyros has more ram for creating samples
The Tyros is gone, yet the PA4X lives on. Even in it's 'old' age, it's still better than the Genos, too! Long Live the PA4X, or, at least until the PA5X comes along!
Sounds are better, especially piano sound, but styles are dry not delicate.🤔
Great demo but it was better if you set the right e mount of loudness by mastercompressor/maximazer in each keyboard !
i love these keyboard but my impression on the different category is:
concert grand-string-epiano ......pa4x
organ -violin ...........tyros5
flute - clarinet ....pa4x
sax ......tyros 5
nylon - jazz guitar-bossa nova ...pa4x
blues -bigband style .....tyros 5
ballad style ......tyros5=pa4x just different taste
rock chacha .....pa4x

Important and necessary observation.
It's possible To compare gynoss and kronos ?
wich song is at 6:18 i love this song but i dont know it name, please, please.
Alright in this competition Korg wins clearly

Good point about weighted keys attack. I have Korg SP250 and Pa4x, My friend own Tyros 5. Must try to connect both arrangers and see the difference.
Is it really reasonable to compare a device for twenty years ago and a new device?
the demo sound with ethereal, I'm wondering which style he uses on the PA4X (can see the light tempo on the start button) whereas we are sure it's a free play style on the Tyros 5.

I'd like both very good, I Think IT comes down to how easy each keyboard is to use and the price
Like fine wines it down to taste but i think the Tyros has it over all and all presented by some nice playing
I've not seen a mic for the Pa4X. The Tyros has one which can do great things.

Both great boards the only answer is you have to own both! Korg wins on some sounds/sytles, others Yamaha.
Then you will know.
both top notch
ıt ıs not possıble to compare wıth KORG...
Totally agree!! KORG masters of music!!!
But it is only able to play well :)
piano and ensemble instruments tyros... everything else korg... and korg is cheaper too...can u compare audya ?
Korg Pa4X
Sonidos + precio + materiales de construcción = Korg
The guitar voice is good on Yamaha.
I got Tyros 5 and Korg Pa-3x pro, but after this comparison no need to upgrade for Pa-4x! of course the winner is Tyros 5.
Own the tyros5, and like it very much. The tyros looks much less plastic than the other.
Damn, just ordered a Tyros 5 & now having second thoughts after this particular demo! Ugh
Very nice
Just pa4x😍
Both great machines its a matter of taste i think
Korg is the winner !
yes:)
oh by the way, the tyros vocals is using $ 50000 dollars voice processor, also live drum samples from adelles drummer.
It is clear that these gentlemen like more Korg demonstrations is heard on the game and I would say that Tyros is reduced sound quality there clarinet sounds better than the master shows :) And also other sounds. Otherwise, both tools are top :)
They are both good
who agrees clicks on like?👦🎹Yamaha is the best because it has more beautiful sounds for being besides realistic better timed and produced and more futuristic.
DEPENDS UPON WHICH 1 IS EASY TO OPERATE & OBVIOUSLY COSTING / D SOUND QUALITY BOTH R =
What do you want? They play themselves! Fun! Playing music at home ...
LOS DOS SON BUENISIMOS , ME QUEDARIA CON EL KORG ME PARECE
I know this is five years old, but man, the Solo violin on each one doesn't sound good at all. I guess I am just so used to my Joshua Bell Violin VST. Wish they would pack something like that in these.
For the interface - KORG
For Sounds - Absolutely Yamaha
FOR ME KORG IS THE WINNER
If it's all about styles. The Korg doesn't stand a chance against the Tyros realism. Take for example Korg's "Swing Band". It sounds so mechanical and low hifi as compared to the Tyros.
wish i stayed playing the piano, sorry grandma :-(
I am biased to korg but sounds on yamaha are awesome .. think sounds more acoustic natural but don't like their design ..korg looks like the real thing
korg pa4x nice
Korg
Korg Pa4x is the winner - hands down. Yamaha guyz are trying very hard to compare their newer machines to this Pa4x .....It even stood out very well against their almighty Geno's n beat it - even though it has some good perculier functions to be honest.
And korg is also delaying their release of their Pa5x ....or PaGenos o ....nobody knows....
Tyros 👍
Yamaha Tyros 5 has a much better sound and best styles!
Korg Pa4X everything sounds muffled, opaque,in styles no balance, sounds are not real.
Tyros 5 The Best!!!!!!
Piano Yamaha
Strings Yamaha
E piano Korg
Clasical pipe organ Yamaha
Solo viola Korg
Clarinet The example is bad . Eror in chuzing the best Yamaha clarinet.
Guitar Yamaha
Style bosa and instruments Yamaha
Style beat contry and instruments Korg
Jazz style Yamaha
Balad style Yamaha
Rock Style Yamaha
Simply korg is the winner..
Ketron is the king
Yamaha still wins, but they have to improve their pianos and brass voices. There touch screen of pa4x is more easy to operate than tyros. Is no doubt that Roland is going to lost in the Arranger Keyboard's race
Korg pa4x has more functions n new technology which Yamaha doesn't have
But although , both are good
KORG PA4x
i was saving for the tyros. not anymore after watching this
