Like you, I have sloppy handwriting and it makes me reluctant to write in my Bibles. However, your channel has been helping me work to up the courage to just mark it all up. One has to be careful they do not idolatrize the actual Bible; the book of paper, glue and leather. I have seen myself going down that road. Once I get a good system of marking in mind I am, like you said, just gonna get in there and get dirty, lol. Thanks for your awesome vids, Pastor.

I like this conceptually. There are definitely elements I will be incorporating into my future note taking. But my OCD definitely would draw neater boxes and cleaner colorings.

This is basically the way I bible study. This is journal bible which means... write in it. God wants us to STUDY His Word. When I write things down I enforce memory. It helps me. I love using highlighter’s and pens. Thanks for your video. 😁

I found using the Interleavened esv with the extra page. I could go with writing the verse number in a corner - the note underneath and then box it off, sometimes I write a bit smaller and on an angle keeps it going nice
Amazon has erasable markers. Pentel or Pilot make them. These are not white board pens. The eraser creates heat and your marks disappear. And don’t say ‘Nawwwww.’ Yes, Marks do disappear. Great way to keep the end edges straight. There are more than these two brands as well. Have a look around for the FleXion. Several colors available.
I guess I don't get the logic of doing it in black pen first. Why not just do it in the color only?

I also put numbers in a verse ie that has blessings and Then number each blessing 1 2 3 4 and so on.

I have decorated my Bible as well.
I put stickers with arrows on them.
Sticker word like set free to verses where Jesus set us free. Salvation sticker where Christ died for me..
I have highlighted verse.
Underlined verses. Also added my name to a verse ie with his stripes Wendy is healed. Also a date next to verse or word Lord put on my heart.
Or my aha moments . Sometimes a ? Mark
If I’m struggling with the verse in my life or understanding.

What is your advice for someone like me who wants to start his own TH-cam channel like you have. But has fear of what others may think or say. Or even worse afraid that I mat say something about scripture that is not accurate?> I think i have a really cool theme based off of Romans 828. But cant seem to get over the fear of others concept. I believe Jason uses Logos software to transfer his written notes to digital, I think he swears by it for referencing again later. He does have an older video talking about it & showing examples, from last year or so.
