Reminds me of diagramming a sentence as a kid. Whatever way you study, the more you actively study the word, the better you retain the info. Keep it up.
Omg it does!!! I know everyone has their own way of studying, but you just gave me an idea which is pretty much hers. Basically diagram the chapter! Through verses though!!!

How long does it take for someone to color-code?
I just purchased, and received, the entire KJV Spiral Bible set. They had a great offer on the OT set so I decided to buy the complete Bible. I have been using my own color code system, combined with some symbols that I learned years ago from taking Kay Arthur's Inductive Bible Study series. Over the last two decades I have tweaked and streamlined (somewhat) some of the symbols because it really got too cluttered for me. I continue to pick up tips and tricks from other teachers, like you, and I have found that using your individual Verse Mapping books aide me in my study of God's Word. I am also a study tools addict, so my living room and dining room have a trail of Bibles and various tools. I'm nearing 75 and find that my memory is beginning to fail me, so I often read the same chapters in different versions, discovering new things constantly! Since I just bought the Spiral Bible I won't be getting your Berean series. I will continue to acquire and use your workbooks though. You are such a gifted teacher and I thank you so much for sharing your gift with us all. God bless you and your family. :)

Not on the topic of how to mark up, but on the topic of this passage...the word for "eyes" here ("Noah found favor/grace in the eyes of Yahweh...") can also mean FOUNTAIN. I thought that was a really fascinating extra layer of depth.

i love the mapping techniques and your excitement for studying/ handling the Word----- i wish guys would get in on these studies----i see a trend of ladies studying the Word but not guys and it makes me wonder if the guys dont see the importance and the voice of God in it----- God bless

I enjoyed the content. I would likely use the tips in a notebook versus my Bible because I want more space so that my notes are legible and I can go back to my Bible and the word is still visible outside of highlights! This study tip was so isghtful and well thought out. Thanks so much for sharing!

i like watch you and others do the marking-"nitpicking" i love praying over my discoveries and slowing down to savor/ taste to God be the Glory for you and for these tools -----------i just find in my personal experience that it crowds a passage but i do it in my journal sometimes-- pasting a typed/ printed out Bible chunk and marking it up arrowing coloring in code etc...........
Love this. Years ago I tried the inductive study but probably only did one chapter. From just watching you I learned a lot about how much info and understanding you get from picking apart a verse.
You can do it! You should consider joining our group sometime. We do the inductive process together online. It’s so fun, and helpful!!

I just recently found your channel and have watched many of the videos. I LOVE THEM! I bought 3 of your books on Amazon, Chapter Mapping, Verse Mapping and Character Mapping. I think for now, until I am accustomed to how to do all this mapping the books would be a better format for me. I DO see where this is beneficial and how in-depth it is. It is something I am going to have to graduate to though. I'm glad it is there for me when I feel ready to use it. And WHERE do get all those cute sticky notes packs? So cute! I like these BIC Pens they come ina barrel shape 4 colors each finding them is hard , than i found a variety of bic color pens old style these are hard to find to , neither bleeds through any of my Bibles .
Youre so cute. I am tired just watching this. I have a journaling bible and a color code but its a long process. I like your markup system because trying to think and looking for inspiration and figuring out the colors and cross referencing all at the same time is impossible. Mark first and think later seems more productive.

Any chance you’ve compiled a cheat sheet for some examples of clue words and what to look for to identify all of them??
I haven't figured out a good way to show that as a universal thing to look for, so I haven't created one yet. It's a good idea though!!

Yes this was very helpful, and yes I want to see it again. I like this method of marking the bible, and studying. Its the best one by far. The only thing I do differently, is I also mark Gods pronouns with a triangle. Can you do another one, maybe psalms 1 since it uses all of the different marking elements? Thanks👏👏👏👏❤❤

I do. I go verse by verse, focusing mostly on what it says about God and then what ideas are repeated.

It should. Because you’re looking at the parts of speech, it should work universally. And of course looking for God and repeated ideas matter in every book too!!❤
