Chris ,great video, as usual. The question with HOBAO is more or less the same as with some other companies, it depends whether you can find them in your country, and it's spares as well. If the importer is not a good one, then as you can understand the rc itself becomes less fun to play with ( i.e. if you have problems getting spares apart from acquiring the car ). And it made quite an impression to me, that there is a difference in their worldwide site, which is poor and their American one ( which is great by the way ). I too have heard nothing but good things about this company and it is a shame that I can't get my hands on one of them. On the other hand they should do something to improve their marketing in a global scale and not rely on TH-camrs ( nothing personal with your site :) )

And something to mention on that is what modelshops you have near you and websites within your country to order parts etc from . Its a real shame that your unable to get hold of these trucks ! As you say there marketing is not great and it does seem that they rely on owners with channels like myself to spread the word ! ( Seems very old school at trail of thought ) Ive heard that all that is about to change in the future with Hobao mind they have a new marketing team and a possible new truggy on the way very soon indeed . Listen I got to say if you’re looking for something that is out and out fun you won’t go wrong with this buddy , it’s an older design that just works and works so damned well . Goes like a rocket 🚀. I am a fan of Hobao’s and love speedrunning the vte2’s I currently have the fastest in the Uk. I found the hing pin holders the week link on the Sste. Keep it 4s.

@@ChriswithaCrc I shortened an Arrma Limitless / Infraction one I bought from a breaker on eBay. There is a spacer next to the rear down brace and one eye fits nicely in that and the other end to the hole in the front where the buggy body mount would attach. 👍

Haha, awesome! 😂 You’re going to love it! These trucks really do offer great value for the price and hit that sweet spot between a lightweight basher and a track-ready rig. As for aftermarket manufacturers, definitely check out Hobao for hop-up options-they’ve got some solid upgrades. And Coogan Billet is another one worth looking into for high-quality parts, especially if you're into durable billet components. Both are great choices to really enhance your truck’s performance and durability. Enjoy your new rig!
@ChriswithaCrc one more question, does the backflip 4s tires fit as is? I see a lot of ppl using hub extenders... wasn't sure if you had to in order to run them
