On the rear body pin issue. Just drill holes 90 degres to the original holes. Did it with my sst. Holds up great.
Got the Hobao a few years ago, It was my first 1/8 scale. Put in a HW Max8 combo and she is a beast. Let sit for over a year cause I have bought other cars. I just took out the other day and remembered why I love this car and have not sold it yet.

Hey Kim, I enjoy cleaning them. I'm in the backyard doing it at my own pace. Once I'm done that's when I grab a beer or a Caesar (sometimes both) and edit the video. It's 8:49 and I've been outside all day. Started running the truck, making the video, and then enjoying the outdoors with the kids. I am going to sleep like a baby tonight :) LOL.
I've had my Hyper 7 nitro for over 15 years, converted it to electric about 3 years ago with cheap trackstar 2400kv motor and 150a xcar esc, it nearly does backflips with my 4s hv 3450batt it's just crazy I love it. Hobao make quality rc cars

Great vid mate! This is an overlooked RC and one of the best out there! I got the roller kit I've had mine for about 3 years, I've jumped it, nailed it off-road now it's my 125mph speed run car and the only thing that's ever broke was the rear wing. That broke on the first bash so I got an arrma talion wing and never ever had a problem with it since. The diffs are so beefy and none of the drive train wears or nothing they're proper solid rigs! Love mine so much 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 4s is the sweet spot too! I bashed mine on 6s at first but it was too much. Nice! Can't wait to see more vids of this car my mate 👍🏻
Nice. I am looking at dropping a 2350kv in it. Just trying to get a little more speed while keeping it on 4s.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs I used the stock 6s blx and 2050kv from a kraton in mine and it was perfect on 4s! Never got hot plenty power. I think I went up a couple teeth on the pinion but that was all. Set of proline badlands it was a beast! And fast!

On the steering. Buy op-0019 and put in the long one. I use the SSTe on a track for racing. Had huge steering improvement when i upgraded to the long Ackermann rod.

Great to see the Hyper out! It does handle nice man 🤩 You can still get backflips if you gear up a couple teeth and really go for it 🚀 I know what you mean about 4s, I have a couple trucks that I keep to 4s only. Your RC's are too clean, do you even run them 😆😜 People are ridiculous!

Great look at this truck this a great vide. I’ve got some of those Bakflip LP tires they seem great on any truggy. I’m really considering buying one of these Hobao hypers now, they are a such a good bargain it seems. Great pricing and parts upport on their website seem really good. I was thinking of selling my ET48 2.0 Tekno. It’s a great truck but some parts for replacement can be expensive. I can’t decide lol!, 🤯🤔😂
I’ve never owned a Tekno. But I’ve heard they are beasts. Hobao parts aren’t the cheapest either.

4s is definitely all you need for this car. Good move getting the aluminum chassis braces. The only really annoying thing is the plastic hinge pin holders. Aluminum ones are available from hobao for the vse, but not the sst for whatever reason. I find the best tires for this car are the regular truggy track tires, Proline Holeshots, AKA Gridirons, (etc). Step up to a 16 tooth pinion, get some motor fans, keep it on 4s, and you’re good.
That is exactly where I’m headed. I’ve already done the 16t pinion and I did pick up the 7075 lightened chassis for it. Frigging love this beast.
