I like all the dishes. My must have are the pan fried chive dumplings 0:43, bean curd wraps and the ham Sui gok. 6:08
Yes! Love all those, 😋😋. Also, anything sweet such as the Lava Buns!!
Great video and reviews on each dishes!!! Thank you for posting this video!!!
Thanks for watching! We had a lot of fun making this video, 😁.
Love the channel and your excellent insightful reviews! I’ve been to Orchids Garden a few times and while it was my favorite over other places… on my last visit… there was hair in (not on) the skin of the Har Gow I was eating. A little unpleasant, but they were quick to take it off my check and offer another replacement. Looking forward to visiting your previously reviewed Dimsumlicious on my next visit from Cali…!
Ouch, that's unfortunate. Glad to hear they were so willing to try to right the situation. As a former restaurant owner these types of things are really upsetting...you work very hard to make such things impossible but nothing is perfect.
As for DimSumlicious...yes, give them a try. They are excellent as well. We now go back and forth between the two as our favorite Dim Sum spot, 😋😁
A must go every time we're in Vegas. Oooh gotta try the tendon next time. Great review!
Thanks for watching! Yes, the tendon is fantastic and so good for you! Enjoy, 😁😋
I haven't been here in years, but it's very good. One of the better dim sum restaurants I've been too.
We agree! A very good restaurant. Also, have you tried Dim Sumlicious? We did a video on them if you're interested. We really like them also! Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/yl4SgsolPAE/w-d-xo.html
Hey so thanks for this video absolutely love dim sum I miss New York Chinatown but you can certainly get wonderful dim sum in the right places I'll be checking this place out next year on vacation in Vegas hey have you ever checked out Cornish pasties it's downtown pretty cool spot all homemade they run out of shepherd's pie real quick so get there early❤
Thanks for the tip...will check it out! And thanks for watching, 😁
So is this still your favorite? It’s been ours since we moved here from the Bay Area, but I know you’ve eaten at a lot of other good dim sum places since filming this and there’s a lot of good choices out there
Good question! They all have their pros and cons. Orchids Garden is definitely one of the best here. We're trying to put together a video soon which will rate the top dim sum places with regard to particular dishes they serve.
Great video 👏 New subscriber here 😊 We love dim sum and will def check this place out .
Thanks for subbing! And yes...check them out! Dim Sumlicious is also a great spot for we Dim Sum lovers! 😋😁
Its my top spot for dim sum when I visit Vegas.
Great! And, make sure to take a look at our other Dim Sum review. They are fantastic as well, 😋
Having known your Mom quite well, I am surprised that I never knew of her love for Chinese food! 💁🏼♂
YOURS' is quite obvious however!
And after watching this video, with all my subsequent drooling, I suspect that I would love it too, were there anywhere locally to partake in such dishes. I guess I will have to wait for my next trip to Vegas... 😕
Yes, you'd love this place! Hope you make it out here soon, 😁
There are two former restaurant owners writing these descriptions, but only one narrator. Maybe the non-speaker wrote about HIS mother's love of Chinese food.
That is exactly correct!
My goodness they look good. Steamed and finished on a pan, with that soy sauce spiked with vinegar...oh boy.
Yes...SO good! Thanks for watching!!
2:00 I call it a Chinese hash brown to my inexperienced friends, or Low Bak Go to the lady pushing the cart.
Yep, we see lots of different names for these dishes at different dim sum places. We always go with the name on the menu so as to reduce confusion.
I've only heard of it called a football for what you called a meatball. The meatballs I know are the steamed beef ones. And the coconut bun I normally know it as chicken cocktail bun.
I know, right! We thought the same. But, it's important that we call things by the name on the menu so as to minimize confusion, 😣
@@LetsEatVegas even on the menu where I'm from calls them to what I know them as. But yeah different places call things something else.
Confusing sometimes because what one may think is something totally different somewhere else. Where I am soft egg and beef over rice is like a gravy. I ordered soft egg with beef over rice in in Canada once and it was scrambled eggs and beef.😥
For a white guy, your review is 100% correct
Thank you! I've now got a large white smile on my face, 😁
10:26 its Orchid, not Orchard.
Actually, it's not 'Orchid' either. It's 'Orchids'...which is very strange, lol. Anyway, where did you see 'Orchard'?
7:45 have you had the BBQ pork buns from Tim Ho Wan? The the best I've ever had.
No, we'll check them out! Thanks for the info and for watching, 😁
Aside from the baked bums seems all the bums -yellow ones were over cooked. 😮
Yeah, the pork bun we didn't like was either over done or a bit stale. The others, however, were perfect...loved them, 😋😋
Looks like you may need to practice your chopsticks skills
Thanks for watching! Sometimes my pragmatic mind takes over and I forego the middle man and just grab the food with my hands, lol. 🥢
Thank you for not fearing broken unintelligible english. Please practice your chopstick skills.
Thank you for watching and commenting.
