You were so right - went with friends today who'd been before. Got the La Fresca and quesadillas with birria and it was all delicious. Great little family place and the waiter June really took care of us and the Let's Eat Vegas discount too. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the Arts District.

Yes, true, but it raises an interesting question. Do you pronounce the word as it pronounced in the language of origin or do you pronounce the word as it's pronounced in the language where filming? I was traveling a lot with a company i worked, when Triple D was the biggest show on food network. so whenever i was in a city that had a slot on Triple D. i would hit them up. after about 3 months of this, i realized that about 3/4 of the spots on Triple D were crap. and about 20% of them should have been closed by the local health district, and of the remaining 30% most of those were just meh. but every now and then i would come across on that was a home run. Letty's is one of those home runs. Fieri has done several of his shows here. of the episodes he has done here in Vegas and that i have seen, Naked City Pizza is a pass for me, not bad, just meh. John Mulls Meat and Roadkill Grill is fantastic. Osaka Japanese Bisto is decent. Crepe Expectation is amazing. Lola's Kitchen was crap, and so was Bachi Burger - which is now closed. lastly it brings me to Four Kegs Sports Pub. I am surprised this place was not shut down by the health department. the only way i would ever eat then again is if i had been constipated for 2 weeks and prescription strength laxatives were not working. it is in my top five places that i would never eat again.
Yes, I would have to agree with you about the quality of the places touted by Triple D. I remember reading something a few years ago making the same observation. And yes, Letty's is definitely one of the 'home runs'. I'll have to look into the other one's you've noted above, but you've missed one: Fat Choy's. I can second that. Visited her place on one of my food runs to Vegas. I'll have to go back on my next visit, if I don't move there first, lol. Here in the bay area we have a million Mexican restaurants. 99 percent of them suck.

I lived in California for forty years and I'm a huge foodie. I'm also a very accomplished cook. I go to Vegas very frequently for the food. The best Mexican restaurants in Vegas are the Lindo Michuacan restaurants. You've apparently never been to any of them.

Saw your video last night and was drooling. My son and I decided to try the place out today. The restaurant is in the older section of LV, but has been renovated the past few years. The outside is quaint and fun. The interior is small with uncomfortable seating. The Happy Hour margaritas were decent. He had the Letty fries which were a letdown. I had the carne asada burrito though covered in cheese, was dry. The meat did have a nice taste, but salsa would have helped but was at an additional charge. My son's chicken enchiladas were so-so in taste. Not very tasty. The flan dessert was average. All said, it was not a good dining experience and will not return.

I used to get this same ridiculous comment at my restaurant when I would say everything was homemade. My response was this, 'when you run your own restaurant you'll learn that your restaurant IS your home, and so everything you make there is homemade'

Letty's is ok... but your paying a premium for ok. lindo Michoacan either DI or Flamingo your getting good food and reasonable prices and great service. this is a 20 min commercial for over priced Mexican food. I really don't blame Letty's... their downtown their rent is high, and all the other restaurants around them are priced high.
We gave an honest review, not a commercial, for what is fantastic authentic Mexican food. But as far as your favorite place, as my mother used to say, "it's good if you like it". On a second note...how do you know what Letty's pays for rent?
