Thank you all for watching and leaving comments. This is just a quick comment to clarify a couple of points that seem to keep cropping up. 1) Yes the upper ball joint was installed in the wrong orientation, I got so caught up with the filming that I didn't double check its position this has now been fixed. 2) Loctite takes around 24 hours to cure fully so when I applied it to the threads I was well aware that I was on the clock to get the parts lined up properly and torqued which was done. I hope this clears up any confusions about the work done. All the best, RRC
i think you have the perfect opportunity to turn this into a great sleeper build capable of gapping almost anything on a German autobahn. please don't waste the chance bruv.
Excellent work mate. Couple of tips raise your blaster up or get a bigger one .bet your backs killing. Also if you put a valve on the bottom you get better blasting. Also have you tried coating hot ? Get the parts to around 160c then coat them it goes on thicker and covers old rusty parts a lot smoother. So the pits are not as visible. Regards Dean Triple-7-Refurbs
Find someone who HASNT forgot or put something on wrong during a rebuild. I once rebuilt a GSX1100 Katana engine and was feeling really pleased with myself until I noted a solitary o-ring. The same o-ring that should be on the oil way between the upper and lower engine casing....it happens....i sulked...
Your videos are one reason among many why I continue to have YT Premium. After a hard day at work, I could almost fall asleep listening to you restoring a car with no annoying commercials but the content is too good to miss a second of it haha.
I cannot wait to see this car finished. I had for 22yrs a 1988 CRX Si, it was my daily driver. Winter, summer, rain, LOVED IT. It rusted out so I brought it to a local body shop, they stripped it down and made it like new, NOT as new as what you’re doing but good enough for me. Then I found out we’re having a baby, so I had to sell my baby. A two seater doesn’t work with a car seat. I told my wife, before I turn 50 I’m getting back my two seater sports car. Now I have 09 MX5 GT hard top. Love the Miata, but I still miss my CRX. Can’t wait to see yours finished.
I love watching your work. It's thorough, without being too precious about tiny details. The lack of annoying music is also a strong vote in its favor. Thanks for all you do!
It's crazy to think that I went to car shows as a kid in the 80's and the cars from the 50's were the classics and now the new cars in the 80's are now the classics that we are restoring.
I can't stop watching these high quality videos. The effort to show two sides of the same sequence is very nice. My gawd who goes as far as RCC in a restoration
Funny, I was showing my brother your videos of the CRX last night and I said to myself, how come RRC hasn't uploaded a new episode yet? So I check this morning and here we are 😆
I drove 4900km since Monday, got home 2 hours ago. Bath, dinner and after turning on the computer I noticed your new publication. It was worth watching, as usual. Great respect for your work and knowledge. Thank you!
Absolutely love your channel. When I'm watching I alway have my head phones in. Not only is it very therapeutic listening restore this classic. Also it's nice to here the a felloe Scottish accent as well.😅 Awsome work
Just taking a break from working on my rusty old car to watch this fine gentleman work on his rusty old car. Man, I thought stuff got rusty here in Canada! This is otherworldly rusty haha.
You must possess next level patience just to do all the blasting and powder coating not forgetting the thing we all forget about, the videoing and editing that must take time and planning. Thank you so much for taking us all along for this journey.
A sponsorship from them would be cool but to be honest I'd even be over the moon with a nice email from them considering how many cool Hondas I've restored now lol .
I HATE messy work space too... It's the main reason I hate working with others so much. I noticed right away how nice you keep your facilities. Nice to see, Brother!
I know I have mentioned this several times before but, once again I'll point out the obvious. Your filming and editing, dealing with the details make these already great videos even that much more entertaining and enjoyable. Thanks.
Another brilliant video, they just keep getting better and better. Love how “tight” you keep the editing and how you “throw” things together - makes me smile. Would love for you to restore a VW Corrado 🙏🤓
You remind me of Wilson on Home Improvement, he never allowed his face to be captured on film. Your attention to detail is amazing. That car is going to be better than when it left the factory and that’s saying something, given how well Honda made it.
Stunning! Did the same to my CRX 20 odd years ago, but without my own powder coating, and with powerflex bushes. Then 10 years later to an EG with full Hardrace. The first drive after full bushes etc. (and alignment) was incredible, and the drive after, and the drive after... 😁
It’s always a joy watching you work, my friend. Seeing all the care and patience you take to get the job done never gets old. I can't believe the amount of work you’ve had to do to get this restoration done and I can't wait to see the finished product. I do not doubt that it will be a sight to behold. Thanks for everything, take care and we’ll see you on the next one.
Your videos are very inspirational. I have an old 2000 civic SI that is in rough shape from Canadian winters. I will definitely be doing a full suspension overhaul. I think I also need to pick up an old bike to restore!
As I’ve mentioned before I used to work at a Honda dealership, brings back fond memories, of doing wheel bearings lol 😅. Great work and very time consuming. I’m sure it’s appreciated by all who view your channel.
I have seen suspension parts in the junkyard that looked better than these did at the start. And you even did a drum-to-disc conversion! Just incredible work. It really shows how salvageable some of this stuff can be if you know what you're doing.
You can tell alot about a someone by the way they do things, and this guy is has got high standards. Can't wait for the next video, keep it up. Greetings all the way from Papua New Guinea. 🇵🇬
That trick with the vac (as simple as it was) was pretty smart. Great work. Just shows your don't need a butt load of expensive tools to do a great job.
Heads up @ 36:20 the upper ball-joint was not installed in it's correct orientation. There should be a small alignment dot on the top of it indicating the direction of installation (facing outwards of the vehicle). the ball-joint has reliefs cut only in one direction which prevents it from binding up during complete compression and extension of the suspension. Worse case is the ball-joint pops out on a hard bump!
Watching you wack in the front lower ball joint made me fell better about doing it that way myself on my crx , even someone of your level of experience and tool variety is still missing certain things and it doesn't stop you from getting it done
I love your style. The care and attention you take. a lot of these channels they just either click bait or chuck the cars together. I wish i had the skill and resources to do what you do. Keep up the good work!
Even I prefer when you take care about an oldschool motobike, it's always a pleasure to see car restoration. Your mecanic skills are really awesome! You probably triggering job vocations
Man, that pickup shot of you grabbing the hammer was just insane. That level of attention to continuity is just not something you see short of a full professional production. This channel just keeps impressing me more and more.
George is the best helper !! Hope you pay him well :D Such a pleasure watching theese videos ! Happy when i came home from work to see another RRC video!

With a nice wide tire that car was awsome on the curves. Good to see your progress and excellent workmanship.
I'm restoring my old 1977 chrysler sigma. I've been hesitating doing the control arms for fear i might be doing it wrong. I bought a sand blasting cabinet and powder coating gun. I missed this and the latest one, didn’t even know he uploaded them so now I’m behind 😅
Stumbled across this channel when you started this car. Wow, we need more classic Japanese restorations
Thank you, glad you enjoy my work :)
Great to see that George is a dynamic member of the team!
The workshop wouldn't be the same without him lol
I think it's amazing how many of those suspension components are just stamped steel parts!
This guy has some mad organizational skills. I want to learn how to "pop" parts in like he does throwing them, and they self install.
Your camera work and editing is impeccable. Your restorations are above reproach. I cant stop watching.
Thank you very much, Im so glad you enjoy my work :)

OK Honda really missed the opportunity to sponsor this build with new parts where needed. Another amazing video!
A sponsorship from them would be cool but to be honest I'd even be over the moon with a nice email from them considering how many cool Hondas I've restored now lol .
I would have called that pile of metal scrap and tossed it. Very impressive work, sir!

Agree, but still think the plastic bodywork of the bikes presents a "special" challenge!
It's had to take early retirement from illness 😢 but I love watching these videos keep up the good work ❤❤❤
I can never get tired of watching you produce your artwork. You made that suspension look beautiful again.👍🏼
