My family and I were dancing around the room laughing and giggling at this video. An utter joy to watch. Who doesn't want to see an old yellow honda being restored? Nobody, that's who.
With the earlier condition id say the car is already good just need a little bit refresh and touchup but you guys really chasding perfection, good job 👍.
I had a red 1988 CRX many years ago that I drove all over S Florida. I would have loved an Si in either yellow or black, but couldn’t afford it at the time. One of the best cars I ever owned.
i use to own one of the CRX back my early 90s in Singapore was a great car n eye catching too back that times i miss it so much, see u restore it feel good see good old days, good job guys👍
Wow, that is one beautiful CRX, loved those cars. I work at a Honda dealership as a tech and work mostly on 2019's and up. That CRX is a better car than all of them. That CRX and all of the 90's Hondas was the foundation of the reputation Honda built. Unfortunately, the late model stuff is eroding it.
Very nice job on this. Isn't that the guy from Paint Society?! Very classy rebuild. nothing over the top, just some minor mods and looks great. Basically kept it stock with some minor upgrades. I even like the stock wheels. The seats were probably the most expensive addition to this car.
This is so depressing… reminds me of that perfect, near mint yellow CRX that was supposed to be my first CRX that I never bought cuz I wasn’t old enough to own a car and my dad said it was “too low” even though it was MY hard earned cash and I was gonna be the one driving it. Thing even had a wire tuck with one of the cleanest engine bays I’d seen in any car. After that I found an ad where the picture looked kinda meh, but when I saw it (and heard it) in person I could not believe I’d scored such a nice unit (this one was red metallic, torino red?), and it had A/C, gunmetal spoon wheels, etc. It was a saturday though so we couldn’t go to DTOP to do the title transfer, and my f***in idiotic dad said we’d be back in the week, and we could “work on that price” too, even though again, it was MY money, the price was fair, and I was happy to pay it. Needless to say I was pissed and told him why tf, blah blah. Called on monday and he’d already sold the car. I was furious cuz I’d already gone through countless heaps of crap only to get screwed over by my dad again. A while later, after getting tired of meeting dozens of people only to get disappointed when I saw the pile of trash in front of my eyes after driving 2 hours, I finally I saw one online that seemed nice and I just told my dad to go see it, and if it checked out to buy it. Well, when I came back to school that day, there it was sitting in the garage waiting for me. I saw it from afar and was excited, and even though it was a completely clapped out pile of garbage as soon as I was closer than 10 feet away, I was still excited to finally have a crx. That quickly faded as I got inside and drove it, and only got worse as I went through the headache that was owning that thing. After spending over 2k on it, and having it continue to be a falling apart piece of garbage with the paint flaking off like the plastic on a new pack of cigarettes, I finally decided to sell it for less than I bought it for, plus about 2k in additional new parts that I was gonna install had I kept it. Thank god that after that, I found another CRX, and this time went over to my mom to do the signing, which she quickly agreed to after seeing what a nightmare that POS the idiot had brought home for me with my dang money. Anyway, this was the cleanest CRX I’d seen to date, and didn’t think was possible to find in such condition. It was magazine quality and needless to say, I was ecstatic and still own it to this day. It’s my trophy. I’ve always wanted a yellow rex though… not that I’m complaining, but sometimes I feel like respraying it in yellow, specially after seeing that new HRC teg at SEMA. That yellow was mind blowing, with a ton of metallic flakes on it. At the same time, I love my red rex and wanna keep it that way. I just need more money so I can have more space and just get another CRX so I can have both. 😅 Anyway, long winded post to say that gad dayum, that’s a good looking rex, and that was a nice refresh. Although single stage paint is very satisfying to polish, I’d never repaint my cars in it. I woulda gone ahead and made it clear coated so it stays nice and shiny and keeps its look and integrity forever. Oh and that A/C box u guys put in, is that one of the 3d printed ones people have been making now? Where canI buy one of those? Mine was mint but I slept on installing the faceplate and it inevitably cracked from dailying it.
Great job. Looks amazing. I was wondering what kind of seat rails did you use to mount the recaro seats? I looked up pci but the dont look like bottom mount seats. Please and thank you
Hi AHC Garage. Just curious. Minus any bodywork needed to be done on a random CRX how much roughly would it cost to strip down the vehicle to get this type of detailed paint job. Amazing work on the CRX.
Man...I hate these videos. They make it look so freaking smooth and it's NEVER smooth going for me! Lol...I actually love these videos... Just playin with ya haha
We see CRX, we click. We enjoy. Great video
Thanks 👍
Impeccable! Clean as a whistle. Well done, gentlemen.
Amazing work, and a LOT more to this restoration than 30 minutes can show! Can't wait to start on my yellow '89!
Thanks Seth, we couldn't finish this project without the help of your videos!!
I avoided binge watching every episode after the first one just so I can wait for this video. It was definetly worth it!!!
Wow this brings back memories. I had this exact spec crx in highschool. 89 si in canary yellow! Thanks for sharing
Is it just me or is the combination of watching them work on the CRX combined with the chill music really relaxing? 😂
Both 😁
Not just you ;)
Like that video on the Honda Civic 💯💯💯@@ahcgarage
I fell asleep at the middle of the video 😴

I miss my CRX. I had a Red 1989 Si. Oddly enough it had a dualcam ZC engine in it. Great car. Great times.

Turned the beater into a heater!! ❤
It is very enjoyable to watch the cars you have made. You work with incredible quality workmanship.
You guys need WAY WAY WAY more views for the effort you put into these videos. Thumbs upped to change that.
Much appreciate it
So satisfying. This is exactly what I want to do to my CB3 Accord. 😊
You should!
@@ahcgarage who do I speak to for an appointment? 😉
Absolute awesome again! Only a detail with battery, think that terminals are in the wrong place. Congrats from Spain.
Thank you very much!

Excellent and amazing work, thank you to this team ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
Hmm, nice work. But shouldn't a restoration clean ALL parts before reinstallation?
That's what the ah stickers are for, it's fine.
How about doing the mechanical restoration while the body panels are off?
Love it. Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!

Man how did you find a crx that clean to start with? That thing was clean! All the ones around me are riced out, beat up, or completely gutted.
Late 80s/early 90s Honda indoor car handle nooks perfectly held a pack of cigarettes and a Bic lighter 😊

you should do an old school ZC swap in that.
Perhaps in the near future 👍

@@chriskarsseboom2200 The difference is not everything was gone over and redone, just the outside.
Big AHC fan here. But not vacuuming the carpet when the seats were already out... Yikes
