Hey! I just bought that exact same microwave yesterday and the instructions say not to use a brown paper bag for popcorn (as I had been using in my old microwave), so I needed to know the best way to do it, and voila! Precise instructions! Thanks.
Thanks for sharing these tips. I've been looking into alternatives to the prepackaged microwave popcorn, as I have discovered just how unhealthy and even harmful the prepackaged route is. I think there are a lot of ways that this can be achieved avoiding synthetic and plastic containers is something that I will do. I have experimented with a few methods and I'm finding out that a semi-air tight container traps the steam that is coming off the kernels as they cook. This steam is very helpful in getting complete cooking of the kernels.
Something came up today about cinnamon toxicity. The FDA urged folks to throw away and not buy the following brands of ground cinnamon: • La Fiesta, sold at La Superior SuperMercados • Marcum, sold at Save A Lot • MK, sold at SF Supermarket • Swad, sold at Patel Brothers • Supreme Tradition, sold at Dollar Tree and Family Dollar • El Chilar, sold at La Joya Morelense in Baltimore Just sharing to be safe
As long as the bowl is microwavable, it should be ok. However, you may need to listen more carefully to stop microwaving when the kernels are finished popping since you won't be able to see the inside of the bowl. Just make sure you don't burn the popcorn.
@@FrostSonix Oh no! Sorry to hear that. You need to make sure you're using a microwave safe or tempered glass bowl. Usually this will be stated on the bottom of the bowl. I don't recommend using plastic. Hope this helps!
I love popcorn.. If I go to mall I buy... I can't cook in my home.. I don't have oven.. In short I don't have electricity in my tiny home.. Live alone inside the Jungle is verry hard.... Specially I am a single mom.. Every night I heard something' outside.. Maybe... Monster... I'm not afraid.. God behind me... ❤❤❤❤❤❤
It works but I have just melted my blender plastic cos I didn't find anything else at 5 o clock in the morning to cook in the kitchen so ig mom will be surprised today. 😂
It's true you don't. Without it I find there are more unpopped kernels left over. But also, the finished popcorn is more absorbent, of whatever toppings you apply. Pre-oiling the kernels is a nice way to put a touch of olive oil flavor into the batch.
I love the idea of the chocolate popcorn. Will do this with my kids on movie night.
That's great! They'll love it. Thanks for the comment.

Thank you for the kind words! Enjoy your new microwave!
If you don’t have any oil, you can use butter as your last resort (I hope this helps😁)
Hi, for sure, a little bit of butter in the bowl works well too. Thanks for the comment!

This is amazing!!! So good!!! I made it yesterday thank you❤
Great to hear! Thanks for the comment and happy popping!
I bought a silicone lid with little pockets for butter so as the kernels pop, the heat from the microwave melts the butter and drips into the bowl.
That sounds awesome!
@@alwaysbelearning5655 I found it on Temu. Cheap!
You got my attention with your cinnamon sugar popcorn reco. Do you have a cinnamon to sugar ratio suggestion? Love the channel 🍿
Cinnamon sugar: Use 1 tablespoon of sugar to ¾ teaspoon of cinnamon. Thanks for the comment!

What size is your glass bowl? I'm guessing 1.5 to 2 quart?
I used a 2.5 qt bowl in the video, but I'm sure you could use a 2 qt bowl with no trouble. Thanks for watching!🍿
Put the butter and salt in the bowl with the popcorn before you pop it. One less step. Works.
Brilliant!
Hey, can I use a ceramic bowl to make the popcorn?? I'm not sure if the glass bowls I have are microwave safe or not.

Glass is microwavable. The issue is with metals and certain plastics that melt.
Just take in mind that most conductive metal and plastics should not be out inside
Thanks
I put everything together with the kernels: oil, sugar, salt before putting it in the microwave. Do you think it's wrong for any reason?
Omg tysm this rlly helped me!
Glad we could help!
@@alwaysbelearning5655 but when i putted into the microwave, the glass bowl broke and im just asking if i needed to do in the plastic bowl?

I thought the microwave would explode thanks

Why cant you just pop the microwave popcorn in butter instead of oil? It would save a step?
Haven't tried that, but let us know how it goes!
This is amazing thank u!!
Glad you like it!
My thing is how uneven the butter and salt will be
Thanks bro
Is this safe?
Yes, we think it is safe if you have a microwave safe bowl and cover and don't go too long in the time.
Paper Towel lid is too flimsy. Popcorn all over the place. Besides that, popcorn was tasty. Thank you.
That's a good tip for everyone. Thanks for sharing.
This is dangerous. It never occurred to me to use chocolate chips as a melt for popcorn kernels. I have both on hand, always.
😁
My took 5 minutes
Thanks for the feedback. How did it turn out?
You really don’t need oil at all 🤷♀️
I feel that a little bit of oil provides a more even heat for all the kernels. But you're right, you don't have to use oil.
