all my quads start with a bit of throttle :) but that is also cause carb leaks, so it needs gas, i do have had some quads who start without throttle...

Hey time machines got a question about a trx450 I may buy, it’s an 06 electric start. The guy says it just needs an air filter and new battery are these an indicator of a serious problem?the Trx looks to be a dune only bike with the tires and plastics being a dead give away.

Yamaha has always had a better chassis especially for us taller guys, Hondas have always been a bit on the cramped side but they bring the money especially if you have an 80s bike.
Idk about that. I'm 6'2 and I've owned both and I prefer the honda. For the past 10+ years the yamaha bikes are cramped for taller guys where the hondas are for taller guys.
@@motofarmmx2430 im also 6'2. Personally I feel less cramped on a Suzuki or a Yamaha my Hondas have always needed bar risers and other changes. Both my atc250r and Cr250 currently have taller bars on them to open up my comfort a bit.
@@Hanky_Bannist8r idk I've owned multiple cr and yz250s also. At first I was speaking on the 450 quads. Then the 250/450 bikes. Depending on what year cr it is will determine the bar bend. Each year is different. I personally run 998s on everything. If you look at the specs seat to pegs you'll see the yamahas are smaller. BTW my current race bike is a yamaha I'm not biased one bit on machines.

@@motofarmmx2430 just speaking personally, not everyone is built the same. I've ridden both quads and have had several mx bikes I've raced it's just a personal preference for comfort. I have very long arms and legs like a dang basketball player it's hard to find something that doesn't have to be changed.

I've owned both and I agree with the honda. I can see the yamaha being better at mx possibly with the chassis setup and motor. For woods the honda hands down.
Hondas for the trails yfz Is more for mx/sport can't go wrong with either I mean its honda and yamaha arguably the 2 best brands you can get
@@BostonBanshee those yfz's are carburetor so it's not like a newer fuel injected one. The Honda has a better carburetor the FCR carb

Its much faster. Ive tested it both ways on many many machines.

Quads with very small wheelbases usually tip over pretty easy. Ohh and 3 wheelers.. hahahah I know what you meant. Just couldn't help myself..
