Great great information. My husband and I are less than 2 years away from paying off our home. We definitely would like a home base of land for when we buy our rig. This is a great video and well thought out
I used to like just south of Nashville, I would not count on the tornado shelter at the church, put your own " above ground one piece concrete unit" you will not have to worry about water filling it up and mold and bugs, you do need to air them out I suggest 12" pour all round (you can use foxblock) make sure the door is heavy and rated to Tornado (stupid people have died because they used a wood door) There are a lot of companies that build them but do you homework, there a crooks that will rip you off, ask for their customers, go look at what it looks like after a year. You can finish it off with the same metal panels as your shop. I would suggest you put it between the shop and house. Tornados in TN don't give much warning, get a weather radio and have it on in your house and shop. Have a couple of vents front and back put in the shelter it gets very hot in TN. A 12" footing will never move during the storm. Do your research, it will cost about 5k but that is all that will be left, if you get a direct hit your metal buildings will be gone. Good luck.
Wow. Here in mn i pay 550 for reg for my 2019 ram 2500. 2800 yr taxes for my 300k house. And crazy income tax. Im already lookin to retire in tn. Im 51 so not too much longer.
Thank you for sharing especially the finances

No water in the shop but I thought you had a bathroom in there? How does that work?
Everything was plumbed when we built the building but we were unable to finish it because of the Covid-19 lock-down.
Very informative. Thank you for sharing.

What company did you get the RV cover from we live in western KY.
Quality Outdoor Products. They have a location in LANCASTER, KY.
Have you thought about having a well put on your property? Or do you have one already?
We tried drilling a well but it didn't work. May try again in another spot in the future.
I just bought some property in Northwest Florida that will allow me to stay my RV it is very hard to find places that allow you to do this.
