This was my jam. I used to dance my young ass off to Private Number. This song was the shit. The Jets had their own sound and style. And they worked it!!
About a week-and-a-half ago, I heard this song on an '86 episode of "Soul Train" and I swear, it reopened a flood of childhood memories for me. STILL crazy about this song!!!
There is no other band that is so energetic and enlightening as the Jets. At 45 years old, I remember seeing the Jets in Stockton CA at the Fox Theater (now the Bob Hope theater) I missed their show at the tequila festival. Now I wished I would of went to see them. The Jets are one of a kind - no other band can match their dance moves and energy with soul and love for music 🎵🎶
Miki Mecov, you're not the only one that believes the 80's is one of the best & beautiful times, genre, and decade ever. no decade before or after will ever compare to the 80's and its influence is still going on and strong/stronger than ever whether people today see it people who grew up/lived in the 80's may see it and still love it or like it or not. 80's always and forever and ever.
The jets got the key.......to my 80's heart...the style, colors, moves, looks...iconic....love me some the jets. A vibe that will never go away....Props!!!!!
Its so sad that we wont ever have great bands like The Jets again. I feel sorry for kids today, they have nobody to look up to, i grew up with The Jets, and they were awesome back in the good days. They looked and dressed cool and had great songs. LONG LIVE THE 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Wanna Dance With Whitney Houston Not everyone in the 80's wore pastel colours or as you yanks say color lol Also in that video whee she is sittin in the chair she is wearing that really nice Sleeveless black dress- And then when she comes out with her jeans, White top and black jacket is fine..that white one with black stripes is also alright- But the red one was pastel loud Also Miami Vice did pastel good
I Wanna Dance With Whitney Houston Oh come on you must of liked the sleeveless Black dress that is nice- Went to a party last weekend and few girls were wearing it , And when she is wearing that white top + dress with black stripes was alright and other when where she is just wearing standard jeans, White T-Shirt + Black leather jacket I don't mind her Grey dress except for the sleeves on it, Yea the colours in video for set is over the top think it is mean't to be Like I said Miami Vice dressed well in a'lot of the pastel
I Wanna Dance With Whitney Houston Yea exactly, + When I said when she is wearing that white top + dress with black stripes was alright and other when where she is just wearing standard jeans, White T-Shirt + Black leather jacket + the Black sleeveless dress is nice got to admit that as none of them were pastel colours
I have no idea what you're talking about, the only one I know is Kesha and that's only because my kids used to play some dancing game in the Play Station. Don't know about 90% of the trash they put out today. :)
Thanks for posting. This brings back so many memories. The 80's were sure amazing. The music was music. You could relate to it.
