Every time I hear this song through the decades, I always love it. Such an amazingly talented family and a very underrated group. Very grateful I was able to experience them in the 80s and every year until now.
Life long metalhead here. When this dropped in the 80's this was my sisters new favorite group. We used to fight over the radio as siblings did back then but not gonna lie, the melody and hook were gold. I was a closet Jets fan back then. My friends would've disowned me lol. Fast forward 20yrs from that moment and I attended my first High school reunion and wouldn't you know??? Those same friends who would've disowned me were dancing with their wives to this on the dance floor. I didn't feel so closeted at that moment in my taste in music. I felt liberated. Good music is good music no matter how you slice it. I did my research on The Jets loooong ago and in 2024 it still blows my mind that Elizabeth was only TWELVE yrs old when she laid the vocal track down in the studio. The only other artist to have a Gold+ selling song back then was Michael Jackson at that young of age or less. He did that in the 70's. We had Debbie Gibson, but she was 16 on her debut. Elizabeth Wolfgramm was from another planet and what she did back then, has never been duplicated today. Find me a Gold/Platinum selling 12 yr old with a 10yr old sibling (Moana) on the same track. I'll wait.
I pray one day all of the siblings , younger and older, will go out on tour all together again, or even if it’s just a few shows, it would be a great tribute to their parents, and a great thing for the fans to see, even for those that can’t be there. I hope they miss each other on stage , and want to perform with their brothers and sisters again, and through it all , do it for Eugene!

This was at 19 East. Metro Mania. It was actually not a concert. They did have a concert the previous day in a different venue. The girls of the Jets showed up to watch the Filipino bands at 19 East. It was an impromptu performance. Everyone was lucky because it was unexpected.
