    I'm happy to see you are making regular videos again man!! You are what inspired me to build my engine in my 06 sti, with the knowledge I gained from watching you over the past few years I built it by myself. Can't thank you enough! It has a bunch of small mods like up pipe, exhaust, intake, and suspension stuff but i'll be installing one of the ets turbo kits this summer with all the supporting mods so that I can make 500hp on 93 pump cause I don't have e85 anywhere in Ontario lol

    Hey Josh, thanks for the in depth video! What is the advantage of removing the overflow tank? Thanks!

    • @AlexTer221
      @AlexTer221 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not much advantage except cleaning up the engine bay, and also when going rotated turbo and have a turbo like pte where u don't need coolant in it, there's really no point for it. Since that tank it made to be above the stock turbo. So when the car is off coolant will flow down through the turbo due to gravity.

    Can you explain the difference between street and comp series IAG AOS in the next video? (and why you prefer one over the other)

    • @BaderBuiltRacing
      @BaderBuiltRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      IAG Street likes to pump oil back into intake system and let your engine digest it / pre detonate
      IAG Competition Doesnt put oil back into intake system.
      We only support / use Competition Model

  • @dx4picco650

    Isn't that pipe/hose going to the water pump rather an inlet than an outlet? Water goes out the head back there and comes into the turbo and expansion tank and get sucked back into the pump so there is coolant flow (and warm water goes up through the stock turbo, not down as if the pipe was an outlet)

    Bader thank you for the video. Was not able to see in this video but what is your favorite placement for an oil cooler after one has gone with a front mount in these cars? I have seen behind for light or on top of FMIC horizontally and even some in the engine bay under the hood scoop. Thoughts? Also thoughts on hood scoop delete in this case? I have a similar issue and have overheating issues (oil mostly, coolant not so much) in stop and go traffic and when pushing hard. Thank you.

  • @kadesherman9485
    @kadesherman9485 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    may sound dumb but I don’t get how the exp removal works like is there a separate bit for the coolant to flow as the aos obviously catch’s oil so is it a split tank or

  • @erics6088
    @erics6088 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thinking about deleting my exp tank, but still have oem rad (I'm broke lol). Might do it exactly the same, but put a Y in the line between my aos and WP suction, to run a 1/2 in hose back to the upper pass rad nipple. I think this would allow for expansion and easier bleeding, and I wouldn't have to worry about any blank-off attempt leaking. Any thoughts?

    I very much have to ask, as I have the same problem right now with the AoS and my rotated setup with the IC piping.
    How did you mount the AoS to the firewall? As I learned too, the IAG AoS Pitch Stop mount will not work on 2015+ with the ETS FMIC.
    Is there an aftermarket product you used, or did you fabricate something up? And if so, how? :)
    Great work on everything!

    • @BaderBuiltRacing
      @BaderBuiltRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the support sir!
      I usually fab a bracket up from top view of pitch stop where ac line mount too, or I have ranchbuilt build a custom bracket.
      This particular car has the bolts on back of AOS screwed in, zip tie around it, and then zip tied to the brake lines on fire wall. Not really my preferred method but it does work well.
