    Have purchased your guides, looking forward to learning more about fresh soap making. I do have a question, what if you do not want to add citric acid, how would you compensate for that? Love your videos!

    • @tellervo.
      @tellervo.  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome🤗 You should use less lye if not using citric acid, I have added about 6 grams extra lye for every 10 grams of citric acid to my recipes😊

    • @ktthompso3746
      @ktthompso3746 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tellervo. I also have a question, could lemon juice be used in replacement for the citric acid? Would this accomplish the same chelation method?

    I always love your videos.
    So excellent.
    No talking, but the videos are very beginner friendly.
    Thank you so much for your videos.
    But in this video, I have a question.
    Why should you add pepper to the soap? Isn't an irritant? The small of the soap maybe fine with orange.
    When bathing, when we use the soap if it accidentally gets into the eyes, the irritation would be unbearable.

    I always wanted to know how come they don't use preservatives in soap making and there is water involved?

    • @tellervo.
      @tellervo.  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The final soap has a low water amount after the cure and the pH is high which acts as a preservative.

    I had two questions that I forgot to ask before. Now that I've seen this combination of videos 😂, I remembered. Is there another oil that I can substitute for mango butter, and are the sea mosses optional or are they part of the recipe?

    • @tellervo.
      @tellervo.  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mango butter can be substituted with another plant butter, but you need to recalculate the lye amount in that case😊 And the sea moss can be left out or substituted with another natural gel!

    • @yasaminrahnejat6676
      @yasaminrahnejat6676 ปีที่แล้ว

      @tellervo.Oo Thanks . Unfortunately, we don't have mango butter in Iran. Can I substitute half cocoa butter and half coconut oil for mango butter, or is it better to replace mango butter with coconut butter? Or shea butter ?
