I think I watch Doug tour The Peterson Museum once a month, and his Bday video where he goes around Nantucket car spotting! Love these car museum/collection tours!
This was an EXCLLENT addition to the usual Cars & Bids content!! Massive thanks to Kennan for making lemonade out of the lemon situation he was in! Would love to see more of thise in the future.
This is such a nice surprise, cars & bids delivering A+ content! Very well done Kennan, enjoyed your convos with the curator. Informative and so interesting. Love pre-war cars, especially Packard and the ultra-rare French marque Voisin, which was just as much art as it was automobile.
Oh hey, this has been on my list as an birthday present idea for my Dad. For the record, there's also the "Newport Car Museum" about 20 minutes further north. Also, strong recommendation for "Fieldstones Grille" in Portsmouth for lunch. Good, comfy, American and "seaside" food, at very fair prices.
This was an amazing video, thank you Kennon for showcasing this amazing museum. I loved the cars you chose to showcase, I knew all of them, but learned more.
I'm only not watching this now, because I live in MA, but I'm going to Spain for two weeks tomorrow, but will definitely make the trip to RI to see this museum and finish watching this video, love the change in content though!
The Marmon V16 was in the Dick Burdick Collection "Dicks Classic Garage" here in San Marcos Texas. Stunningly beautiful car and one of my favorite cars from that collection along with Tucker #50.
I’m a member of the Audrain, they do a great job with the exhibits as well as other events. Their cars and coffee has become quite an event. I’d recommend a visit to the museum and cars and coffee to anyone in the New England area. The YoungTimers event is also great, I went to the first one last year. It’s a shame it was rained out this year!
I enjoyed this. I'd like to see Kennan do more of these. A car museum I've been to that I'd like to see him do something similar at is the Revs Institute in Naples, FL.
Hi Kennan!!, with this one you just blew my head off. I don't know if you watched a video I've sent to you, well, I did to this channel about the Pegaso Z, a very special spanish sports car from the 50's. Well, the video was made by these particular people, The Audrain Museum, and in your video, the car is there with the second Merc SL unit, in the same ware house, this is because, the Pegaso was bought from the same guy who sold them The SL you've been talking about with the curator. This guy was in the military intelligence in Spain after WWII, he was a real spy with a James Bond kinda life and with a huge thing for classic sports cars, and with that passion, he built the collection which he sold to these guys afterwards. If you didn't, please check my messages and you would see. What a coincidence that you posted this wonderful piece just after that. I'm about to cry.
Just got my hopes up to shoot down to Newport tomorrow as it’s raining in RI today 😅. Great video, been wanting to go see the museum on one of my days off for a while !
This was an amazing educational car history video. BUT , I immediately clicked on this video to find out what the little quirky white car in the thumbnail was all about.
Nice museum. I live in Memphis TN were theirs way too much crime happening here to have a museum like this. Every Day vehicle's are being broken into 36 at Double Tree Hotel Downtown yesterday in their parking garage. FYI, I live here, so I see what is going on every day for anyone who is even considering going to Memphis. Don't I repeat, do not go to Memphis, go to Nashville instead. and you won't have to worry about your vehicle being broken into when you're parked in one of their parking garages downtown or being robbed and shot at. Just pull up local fox 13 or any of our local news affiliate stations, and the crime in memphis is out of control
Well, natural result of liberal woke voters and reliance on government to solve all your problems. Get super tough on crime. Vote out any liberals and you will see a revival in the once great city of Memphis
The reason the F40 is so stripped out is that, unlike Porsche, Ferrari was not capable of getting a luxury car to 200 mph. If they hadn't stripped it out, it would have been unable to beat the 959 in any category, including top speed. It's not like I'm a big fan of Porsche--Ferrari either, for that matter. It just bugs me that people think it's such a "pure" car. Silk purse out of a sow's ear.
Does the Audrain keep up with the notoriously arduous and costly service regimen associated with the Veyron in general but especially this supposedly important one? If so, can they accomplish all that without having to ship the thing hither and thither across the globe just to keep it running up to spec? Seriously, do they? At what cost? What a fiasco that whole endeavor must be.
That's the constructive criticism I thought of also. I like Kennan and want to sew him succeed, just needs to work out the kinks. In this case, keep the hand movement to important parts of speech for emphasis. Otherwise, hands folded or at your side comfortably is the way to go.
Long time Doug fan, but I’m still not on the Kennan band wagon yet. He’s got good insight on the technical details but he’s just too awkward on camera (not that Doug is much better 😂). I’d keep him on as a writer and editor, but not a spokesperson. Sorry Kennan! No offense, man.
Give him time. Just like Doug he has to get used to the camera as a long time Doug fan you should’ve known that and respected Kennan for going through the same thing.
I love this change in content and getting educated about the history of the place/cars, please visit more museums!
Thanks!
Kennan is a car encyclopedia. He's the real deal.
Kennan always shows his passion. Infectious!

Can’t wait to get back!

Excellent presentation and discussion of the facts and history of these great cars.
This was an amazing video, thank you Kennon for showcasing this amazing museum. I loved the cars you chose to showcase, I knew all of them, but learned more.
Nice video Kennan, and great museum! I'm definitely taking the trip down there from Boston very soon; looks great!
You should!
Definitely come pay us a visit!

super fun video, cool to see some amazing classics and fun cars. Kennan knows so much
Thank you!
Very professional and knowledgeable young man
Was just in Newport two weeks ago… wish I had gone. Thanks for the different content, love it.
Great idea for a video series. Would love to see the overviews, as well as the quirks and features of both Museums and notable events.
ye, it's a great deviation from the normal Videos
I was just here a few months ago. Great video!
Thanks for the (albeit brief) tour of this fascinating and inspiring collection. Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I did. Keep up the great work.
Excellent video your passion shows most of these museum videos are not great but this could have been hours!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I live right down the street from this amazing museum
What a great video! I loved every minute of it. Such cool cars together, man, this must be it like in heaven.

We were so excited to go, alas, rain….
@@carsandbidsit is a perfect sponsorship for opportunity for Cars & Bids, I hope to meet you or Doug there in person next year!
This was one of the most enjoyable videos that I have seen in a long time.
i enjoyed this, unique thoughtful collection
What a great video! Would love to see more content like this on the channel. Well done!
More similar videos to this please (!!) Thank you !!
Will do!
Nothing beats a cruise along Ocean Drive on a nice summer day!
Couldn't agree more!
Lane Motor Museum in Nashville is badass
I enjoyed this. I'd like to see Kennan do more of these. A car museum I've been to that I'd like to see him do something similar at is the Revs Institute in Naples, FL.
what happened to the spoiler on the clk dtm? it looks like it's missing

You should check it out.
I’ve been meaning to go as well, it’s under 2 hours from me. The museums stay with you forever :)
No way!! I lm from Jamestown right over the Newport bridge. I’ve never been there I’ll have to check it out
Go, it is awesome.
Kennan the type of guy to know more than the museum curator
12:00 what fool added that electronic garbage to the 300SL?!
That is a rally trip meter. They use that in time speed distance competitions/rallies.
I feel like that should be removable or hidden... its too special of a car to just have that out on the dash@@carsandbids
All the Mille Miglia cars have them, and I'm pretty sure it isn't permanent.
I'm scratching my head a bit; who's the host and who's the guest, the level of knowledge in both is impressive
my grandma used to live not far from this place. unfortunately, she passed away recently during a battle with dementia...
You missed the clk gtr there last year 👀
Bummer!
@@carsandbids sure it’ll be back again at some point, so cool seeing you cover the Audrain!
kennan, the type of guy that reviews a museum, love it!
Again with the stupid meme??? Kennan is a bit too dignified for this prepubescent drivel. Grow up. Take your stupid comments elsewhere.
I can’t believe you didn’t ask to get into any of these cars!!
This was an amazing educational car history video. BUT , I immediately clicked on this video to find out what the little quirky white car in the thumbnail was all about.

I feel sorry for the people that watch Doug's main channel that haven't subbed to this one. lol
Spread the word! We have some good stuff over here.
YEAH THOSE BLACK SHIRTS REALLY ENHANCE THE AWESOMENESS OF KEENAN
I really like Kennan but he whips his hands around way too much. He'll get there.
That's the constructive criticism I thought of also. I like Kennan and want to sew him succeed, just needs to work out the kinks. In this case, keep the hand movement to important parts of speech for emphasis. Otherwise, hands folded or at your side comfortably is the way to go.
Still in the Ricky Bobby stage
I hope this becomes a series too.
FYI: in the timeline it says "Curatoe" instead of curator

We love Doug.....the others not so much
Wish people would stop meat riding the Veyron.
Have you been in one at full throttle? It rocks!
