"Window started badly" Liverpool signed Mac Alister and Szoboszlai before most teams had woken up, they had two bad days and have signed 4 midfielders who have dropped the average age by 8 years.
I still think Liverpool are missing a top CDM and CB…they need big cover in those positions…Endo seems like an underwhelming signing and not buying a CB with injury prone players like Matip and Gomez could be massive during the season, they have a lot of games to play they need to do something in the Jan window
And giving the same rating to Liverpool and United is ludicrous.
@@tygittens6424 i think Endo was a short term solution due to his age but he can do the job to a strong extent. i think this window was more about building a midfield that can change around with players who can play multiple positions. But i agree 100% Liverpool need to sign a CB next window at least.
I don’t think there ever was a plan to bring a cdm. Fabinho was gonna stay and Bajcetic was gonna be blooded in. With the ridiculous offers for fabinho and hendo they’ve been able to replace those two with Gravenberch and Endo (who will take the Milner role over time)
I agree with you100% @@dabisset7900 endo will play until bajcetic is ready

Really like Lyes as a guest, nice to see someone talk sense and not just try to shout over everyone else or be controversial for clicks
Same. Seems like a really decent human being too.
Liverpool did get their original number one target in Ryan Gravenberch Liverpool tried to get him before he went to Bayern Munich an were told at the start of this window he is not for sale, before they even looked at other midfield options!!
Shhhh, such facts aren't important for people in Skysports or ManU-supporters.
The prices Liverpool got their players at compare to other club spendings is an A
Who honestly could claim Liverpool a C? And it's not Rory? All the footie shows have been mental about Liverpool.
If Liverpool had got a defender it definitely would have been an A. Happy with the midfielder that’s for sure
we would have needed to sell one cb then. Which we failed to do. im happy about the window
Chelsea’s transfer window is like when you’ve just lost your last 3 seasons on career mode so you go out and buy all the best youngsters in the 4th season 😂
“They brought in some good quality players, but why did they let Brennan Johnson go?”
You’re not wrong, he will be a loss to the squad and him being an academy graduate will sting for a long time. But that being said, we weren’t in a position to upgrade our squad without selling players. I think as an Arsenal fan, he forgets that teams outside the “Sky 6” actually have to sell their best players to fund their squad development.
Forest offloaded 30 players since last season and upgraded with 13 quality signings. 4 on season long loans with Tavares, Montiel, Andrey Santos and Origi, one season-long contract with Ola Aina and 8 top players on 4-5 year deals with Murillo, Omobamidele, Domínguez, Vlachodimos, Turner, Elanga, Hudson-Odoi and Sangaré.
Johnson was a loss, but £47.5m plus add-ons and a 10% sell on fee is top business.
Honestly as a Forest fan to think where we were three seasons ago to this is unbelievable. Excellent business and without a doubt A-tier transfer window. We have Premier League quality depth on the bench, haven’t signed anyone on a stupid deal this transfer window (a first in a long time for Forest) and genuinely look like we have the potential to be a competitive team in all areas of the squad for the first time in over 20 years.
Well said 👏
Yeah, bit of a similar situation at Wolves. You have to sell some of your best players to actually move forward. If you're making a decent profit on them is then you're doing well.
@@DynoKeawe sold Johnson so we don’t end up like Wolves, having sell everyone decent in a fire sale to meet FFP
Johnson had to go over ffp and to buy ibrahim sangaré as that deal not go if Johno deal Collapsed
They will be fine, I think they will actually improve from last season (we see this already), and get a higher finish this season. It would have been an issue if Gibbs-White and the nigerian prince got sold as well. But as of now, they have good firepower in offense.
Think a C for Burnley is kinda harsh. Considering we'd spent like under 200m on signings in 15+ years and we spent over 100m this window, brought in 15 players to give is depth, allow us to rotate cup squads etc. Dont think Maatsen not signing brings it down given how many players we've already signed.
as a United fan that is harsh I'd say B bare minimum spent cheap and got solid players and a lot of them.
I'd say D, Burnley shouldn't have that much money as a newly promoted team
I'd say a B makes more sense for Burnley. You guys had some really good signings.
Tresor is arguably the deal of the window for Burnley, he is the real deal, an attacking partnership of Tresor and Zaroury is lethal.
@doublej1186 you know that you get that money for winning the championship
West Ham have done really well this window, JWP is arguably up there for signing of the window, his quality for the price tag. They have Ings who can play if Antonio does go down. Overall West Ham has to have gotten an A
I think WHU doesnt get an A just because they should have signed more players and the money was there, they have positive net spend this summer.
@@rollercoaster478 They should get A, it could be argued that they should have spent more, but we haven't seen many signings that has drastically improved a team. Some of the A's in the video is just status quo, like City. Probably the most definitive A in my eyes, especially considering the amount they got from Rice.
I disagree with the statement that they've spent the Rice money well. They desperately need goals. Antonio is well past his prime. But, I guess his strategy of picking a fight and then falling over will work brilliantly with JWP in the squad. They should have made including Balogun a requirement in the Rice deal. Arsenal accepted just £30M for him. Honestly, they should have asked for Balogun, Smith-Rowe, and £50M, and Arsenal stupidly would have given it to them!
It's good to make a revisit of this one at the end of the season analyzing surprise bargains and shocking flops!
Why is everybody focused on incomings only? Nobody ever talks about outgoings in a transfer window. That can also massively affect your club's summer too. Getting rid of deadwood and the money you get for them is crucial.
Only just started video, but first team up and they did discuss outgoings…?
Haha this guy must not have wat hed the vid, was just thinking the same
@@livvi67 yes but it's a small fraction of time spent on talking about outgoings. They're mostly judging on who the clubs brought in. They're ranking them 90 per cent on incomings alone.
How r they only focused on incomings r u watching
They spoke about outgoings for almost every team
Big respect to Lyes, first time that I’ve personally seen him & IMO he is speaking a lot of sense
As a chelsea fan this is higher than I expected. Rebuilding a whole squad and paying that much money without solving the problem we had at the end of last season is actually shambolic
jury is still out on chelsea. This was before their loss to forrest, after that evryone is losing their minds
The problem is they rebuild the squad every year. It'll never work if they don't give some guys a chance to play together
I would give them D. The only achievement this transfer window is that they got way too much money for Mount and Havertz, and loaded of some useless players to Boehly's friends in Saudi Arabia. Otherwise complete trash, and if not for the charity of United and Arsenal, it would have been a definitive E. Otherwise they actually did fine with the ranking, United is also a D, given that the are back to the Maguire/Lindelove duo again, and maybe even Maguire/Evans, but good arguments could be provided for it to be C, especially the Højlund deal could be a banger. He is very good and is perfect for Erik. Liverpool could be argued to be an A and they have made the best transfer across all of European teams with Szobo, but same issue as United, no CB was bought, so B is fine.
Agree. So much money spent and the squad looks no better, specially when you consider goal scoring. Considering huge overspend on the likes of Caicedo, Chelsea's window should be at best a C, and even that sounds generous right now.
Yup, they're a D or even an E for me. They just don't learn. They're splashing cash buying players other teams want instead of players they want. I'm convinced their entire scouting system is, "Who are Arsenal looking at?".
If Havertz didn’t score in the UCL Final he’d be working at Nandos
😂😂
If you mum had a 9 inch D she'd be your dad.
We had to sell Iwobi because he had 1 year left and he wouldn't sign a contract, better to get £22 mil than nothing next summer. The stupid part was not getting a replacement, that falls on the recruitment team for chasing Gnonto all summer dispite hetting rejected again and again
I agree, our hands where tied on Iwobi. Can't expect these people to know the full situation. We have to take the most we can now than have another Barkley situation where we get less than half price with 6 months to go on the deal. We had the best window we could hope for in our current situation. We had zero budget and have some how managed to not only reduce the wage bill by about 200k but end the window with profit. Around 27mil I'm the bank from a team with very little quality the only player that disrupted the core group was Iwobi. Yeah we lost Mina and Coady but gained Branthewaite. We have better cover at fullback with Young and Garner able to play there. Alot more quality out wide with Harrison and Danjuma. Then we also managed to get a 1st team striker that fits the system and potential the future for that role I'm Beto and Chermiti. Alot of positives. The downside is we lost Iwobi and a few kids that might become something but if you look at the positives. We are not an E... we are more a C or D
@@james27efc I would even say a B cause we managed to ship out players that were not cutting it and brought in players on loan until we sort out our finances. Davies contract expired and I was happy we did not renew it, that was a win for us. Maupay and Holgate out on loan which is amazing business on our end. Released Gbamin! We brought in Danjuma and Harris on loan, so low risk! We brough in Beto who is a fighter and Chermiti who has a high ceiling. We managed to keep Onana who is showing glimpses of being fantastic. The only player I am gutted for is Tom Cannon. The major win is Maupay and Holgate! This has been the best transfer window in years for Everton!!!!!!

Good pair with Lyes and Robbie today
Forgot to mention Kovacic signing for City absolute class looks a different player in city team always demanding the ball and plays key passes and runs class signing for 25 million why did Chelsea sell him lol 😂 what a class signing pep is a genius
In general, Chelsea dont have a recent history of getting the best out of most of their players. Seems like the club has some glass ceiling for the players potential to knock their head into.
You can't knock down Arsenal's transfer window because Timber got injured - that's illogical. He's a great player, they bought him - that's a plus.
They didnt sign a replacement for him after his injury, then sold Holding. They are incredibly light at the back
@@Kaijufiedthey have a good starting defence but no back ups tbh
@@Kaijufiedno they're not incredibly light 😂, they're stacked. Robbie is getting this wrong and everyone is believing it. Literally got two excellent options in all positions with many of those able to play in multiple positions (Tomi, White, Kiwior, Walters). Partey can play RB, Rice can play CB, Saka can play FB. It's nonsense. But sign a replacement for big money who is as good as the other options who isn't needed in 6 months and then you've got to offload them but they won't leave because they're on a long term, big money contract - short term thinking which has caused Arsenal many issues in the past.
@@ln5747 Partey only plays right back to tuck in to the midfield, he isnt actually playing at right back, Saka got rinsed against Hungary playing LWB, you wouldnt want him there, and if you were to put Partey and Rice at RB and CB at the same time who’s going midfield

Honestly, I feel like not getting Lavia and Caicedo raises Liverpool's grade. I would much rather have players that want to play for us! Gravenberch's little face in the welcome videos - you could feel his excitement!
honestly, caicedo and lavia are like doucoure or sissoko level. they are meant to do the dirty works but not as good as kante. and they are not considered star players who can turn the game around like KDB or rodri. overhyped premier league players i'd say.
@@nimrodnix1577 To be honest, Caiceido's numbers were good, but ... yeah, that price and when the player is turned he is turned. As LuxL says, a club should want players that want to be there. And if history tells something it's that Klopp gets who he wants or leaves it. This time he actually brought in a respectable fill-in in Endo, and now they can bring in their main targets in January or next summer.
And now Chelshit is stuck with them. One of them cost them 5 points already, and the second is not good enough for the bench. Lavia must have fired his agent by now for arranging such a stupid deal. He would probably have started for Liverpool if he went there.

Spot on regards Salah. That $ will be there next summer too. LIV need him now to secure CL qualification and hopefully some silverware this season.
I don’t disagree with keeping salah. But liv aren’t getting 200 mil for salah next summer. 32 yrs old and one year left on his contract at that point. The question then becomes is it worth it to keep him this season if it costs you 100 million?
@SKa-tt9nm you seem to be unaware of who the buyers are. They are not evaluating Mo's worth on the basis of trad European model metrics such as these.
He is the biggest football star in the Arab world. He IS still in his prime. He never gets injured. He is Muslim. It is precisely all these attributes that make him the perfect marquee signing and standard bearer for their league. They want him desperately.
I'm confident that I've assessed this correctly. LIV and Mo hold all the cards in this negotiation. Similar $ will be there a year from jow, maybe even more if he has a good year and we win either the league or Europa.
Plus .... i don't think Mo doesn't perceives himself as declining yet and he has both team title and petsonal records ambitions unfulfilled. Those may be more important to him than the $. If we make CL again after this year ... I think it's possible he even signs a one year extension w LIV and THEN goes to Saud after the 24/25 season and a final try for CL glory. If so THAT would be for < $ and its risky. The league could have flopped by then ( but I doubt it ).

Lyes bringing the realism
I love being back here now and Liverpool might be an A tier rn 😂
even at £200m for salah i’m not sure id want us to do it because who says we see the money reinvested? knowing FSG they sign a young winger for £30-40m who will probably end up good but it’s not like in january or next summer we’ll go and spend £300m
Chelsea have had their best transfer window in recent history. Believe it or not they have a net spend of 200 mil euros this summer and this is not considering the sale amount of Lewis Hall which is a loan at present. Also, Lukaku and Kepa are loan moves and will generate more funds when finally sold. As a lot of high earners have been moved the yearly outlay on salaries has decreased. Sterling(28), Chilwell(26), Silva(38) and Bettinelli(31) are the only players above the age of 25.
Yeah I think they have been harsh putting us in B as the net spend really isn’t that big but I do get what they mean when they say we have spent a billion and there isn’t any of those galactico players you would expect for that price
Definitely done good business in sales, but the incoming are all to... meh, unproven. Like arsenal & lvpl when they weren't doing so well & couldn't attract stars, they went for younger unknowns. But it's geeks like all to much, throwing days at a dartboard & hoping some stick. The massive turnover doesn't bode well
Only 4 players over 25 is a problem, not a benefit. A team needs experience and maturity to achieve consistent success. It's great to get good young players, but they need mature players in the squad to provide leadership.
They had definitely one of their worst with current results showing they have overspent on players for potential high ceiling and the future. Your team is going to be lucky to even finish higher than last year if not a relegation fight because your team has no cohesion.
Lukaku is worth 0.
LYESSS❤️
Brighton are a A they got 150m from 2 players sold when they were both max combined worth like 100m
Good video. Not here for arugments. It's so jarring. This one was good.
