[Synopsis]

They fight nail and tooth, kill whoever it’s on the line of succession and try to be the emperor’s favorite all of that for one night stand and being on the grace of the emperor The emperor don’t seem to have much control over his noble wife’s and concubines and their palaces . Their lives is cruel and lonely only concerned for the servicing of a man that takes their identities away . It’s historical but I am glad we have come a long way from that type of servitude and dehumanizing life style.

I love Ruyi but why does she always wear the most drab colors....seldom does she wear something bright. It's usually a dull and plain color.

I've heard that Zhou Xun's (Ruyi's) stylist was different from the others. Her hair should be parted in the middle like the others, as that was historically accurate.
