- This 2-year-old black lab loves the dog park so much, she's started to ride the bus by herself to get there. Her name is Eclipse and she’s the most beloved canine commuter in Seattle!

Dogs are very smart! One day I was sweeping the streets in my town (I'm a dustbin man) It must have been around 05:15 am! suddenly 2 dogs come towards me! A small one and a big one! Obviously the big one is picking on the small one! What does the small one do???? Walks behind me and sticks itself between my feet!!! Looking at the big one I could hear him or her saying "Try and pick on me now"!!! The big dog looked at me and after I said with firm tone "Beat it"!!! He left!!! The small one looked at me and ran in the opposite direction!!! TRUE STORY!!!!

When I was a kid, we had a dog that would run away every Friday to see his girlfriend, a yellow lab. It got to the point that the owners of the lab would keep my dog until Sunday night, then we would go pick him up. It was 2 towns away.My dog also did something else truly amazing. My grandmother used to come over every day to watch me when my parents went to work, so the dog was close to my grandmother. One day, she was admitted to the hospital, across the city. Her room was on the second floor. My grandmother called our houses saying that she just saw the dog. We thought it was her meds, until we got a call from the hospital, saying they had pur dog. The dog got into an elevator and found my grandmother.

I owned a female black lab which lived to the age of 14 years, but died as a result of cancer. She was a true companion for our family, smart, lovable and she loved going for rides with us in the vehicle. When she died on her 14th birthday, I cried simply because of what she meant to us, a true lovable animal and companion. Now I have a 6 yr. old Shetland Sheepdog which I adore. I am a true animal lover, and don`t ever abuse animals because I hate when people abuse them. Animals make true companions, they don`t judge others, and they accept people as they are, and I will never be without a pet as long as I live.
You still need to keep your bitch in line. That's best for all.

labs are the best 'people' dogs out there, they'll go to any length to keep you happy and they love being around people, been around them my whole life.
BTW she did have a little pass on her collar, someone must've bought it for her unless she has a job 😝

Might be the human gets the dog to the bus or may be all buses go till that stoppage or it comes at a particular time.
There are some neighborhoods in some cities that are only served by buses that follow 1 general route. Where I used to live, there were buses that took the same general route with the final portion of the route being 1 of 3 subroutes. Routes were 5, 5A, 5B. Buses ran 10-15 minutes apart. Of course, in my area the bus driver can not open the doors unless he is admitting paying customers...so that dog would be s.o.l. if there wasn't a rider at the stop when he wanted to get on.
A lot of animals are creatures of habit (pardon the pun if that is one) if they go a particular route or get used to a particular set of actions they will continue to copy them as long as those actions become available for them..... It might have been as simple as the guy not taking the bus one day after taking it several times with the dog and him walking by the bus stop while the doors are open and the dog mistakenly going into the bus without him(by force of habit) and then not getting out until it recognized its normal stop and then the pattern continued.......
I honestly got a feeling the guy might be homeless, so in fact the bus might feel like some sort of refuge or comfort memory from when the owner wasn't homeless.
Or,....maybe a previous owner's habits.

That's what amazes me. How she learned the bus and routes.
She even has a bus pass if i remember correctly.
That story is longer than they tell on this item. The owner used to go with the dog to the dog park and always took that same bus. On one day the owner was smoking but the bus was already there. The dog hopped on en the bus took off. It was so common for the dog to take the bus that she exactly knew were to get out to go to the park.

My sister's retriever used to ride the senior bus with my mother years ago- everybody loved her 💗
One day I was at a pedestrian crossing, and honest to god, people were running over the road narrowly missing collisions, whereas this dog came waited patiently for the light to change and then cooling walked across when the lighted turned green. Some of them are genuinely more intelligent than some humans.

Thought it was fantasy, but after watching this, maybe not? And I have owned a bull terrier, and I know how clever those little rascals can be.
