i'm so confused by all the people parading this "diet". how are you going to fix your inevitable deficiencies when you get nothing from eating high cholesterol chunks of flesh and raw eggs? what makes you think you suddenly know better than hundreds of scientists and dieticians who have spent decades researching the optimal foods (which are always meant to be guidelines, not everyone can eat the same stuff due to allergies etc.) the human body requires? like how do you seriously come to the conclusion that plants/veggies make you sick. where are you getting your fibers and antioxidants then
@katjavalentina With regards to plants making us sick...yes that's absolutely possible and based on robust scientific evidence that most following only mainstream science do not come across. There are a multitude of robust studies clearly demonstrating the negative effects of plant based lectins, phytates, oxalates and phytosterols on health (just to name the common ones). Plants have known carcinogens and it's not trivial as many in the plant based community want you to think. Also understand that the plants and fruits we eat nowadays are nothing like they were originally. They have all been hybridised for yield, size and taste, less seeds etc. Not to mention the pesticides now used in abundance to promote yield. Oxalate bind with calcium to form calcium oxalate that's involved in many pathologies from oxalate arthoropathy to kidney stones among other inflammatory issues. Fructose is another sugar that in excess, causes DNL (de novo lipogenesis) and other toxic metabolites (as it can only be metabolised in the liver unlike other sugars) including uric acid that in turn reduces the efficiency of nitric oxide and results in increased blood pressure. DNL also favours the formation of NAFL (non alcoholic fatty liver) that can progress to NASH (non alcoholic steatohepatitis) over time as the hepatocytes keep getting fatty and eventually get inflamed with tissue damage. Note that juvenile NAFL has soared over the past decades...something we've never seen before. It was a metabolic disease that really didn't "exist" so to speak or was extremely uncommon. It coincides with our new eating habits with less meat and more plants, fruits and juices, processed plant-based alternatives such as veg oils, margarines etc, more conflakes (i'm looking at you Kellogg's), oat milks etc instead of whole milk and the whole list of processed garbage you cant think of. Meats, eggs, cheese and fish on their own are NOT the problem. Plant based phytosterols for example are known to promote the formation of atherosclerotic plaque much more than animal based cholesterol for that matter. It's also involved in damaging the glycocalix (the protective hairy like layer that lines the lumen of arteries to prevent clot adhesion/plaque formation..and bear in mind that phytosterols are being shoved down our throats through margarine and even pills to fight supposedly "high cholesterol". As I keep repeating there is far too much to elaborate on based on years of scientific studies. Most people are just not aware of those things and I can't blame them as it's a field of expertise just like any other fields of work. The strange thing is that most would not challenge a rocket scientist but health professionals have gained such a lousy reputation over the years (and rightfully so given the high percentage of ignorant clinicians around and mandates forcing insufficiently tested medications on a global scale) that no one takes them seriously anymore. That's why it does take a leap of faith for the masses to listen to people like myself who go against the mainstream narrative.

When I eat vegetables I develop kidney stones because of oxalates. If you have time I'd encourage you to check out Kelly Hogan. Even if you don't agree with her you'd probably like her friendly personality. She's been doing this for 13+ years.
Plants CAN be toxic, and many people are not able to break down or filter these compounds. I personally did not start healing until I removed all plants. Arthritis, debilitating depression, bipolar, hypothyroid and pre diabetes gone after carnivore. I did not eat badly before, and I did work out adequately. Now I don't have to workout as much, and I gain more muscle. Or if I'm without working out maintaining it is a breeze compared. Carbs are not required. And all my blood works are splendid. Trust the mainstream when it comes to this. There are people who've been carnivore for 60+ years and are doing amazingly health wise. If you want to talk about it, hmu, I can clarify quite a bit of confusion or misunderstood science in regards to it all. Best wishes to you, but messages like this can be harmful to people like me, who doesn't do well with plants. Evident by the fact that if I try to include them into my diet again, all the conditions I mentioned previously comes back.
I have lupus, kidney disease caused by lupus (I was also born with one kidney), chronic kidney stones starting at at 12, and colitis. I was diagnosed with all of these in my childhood. I grew up eating meat and veggies, a pretty balanced diet. I got tired of taking a dozen medications to manage my symptoms and still feeling like crap all of the time anyway. I went vegan with the help of my dietician from age 17-22 and in that time all of my symptoms, blood work (such as ANA, C3/C4, kidney function dipped to almost the point of being put on a kidney transplant list), I was passing kidney stones monthly and at one point there were TWELVE stones in my one kidney, and everything got so much worse. I was severely underweight because my colitis caused me to have to go to the bathroom upwards of 15 times a day. I did the carnivore diet starting at age 22 and used it as a sort of elimination diet. I started with just meat and eggs and felt instantly better and stuck with that for a few months. I tried adding back in broccoli and cheese because it's one of my favorite foods and symptoms almost instantly came back. I just did that with tons of different foods until I found a combination of foods that work for me. I'm 32 now and eat roughly 80-90% animal products (I love potatoes...I can't stop them 😆). My kidney function improved by 40 points which is INSANE because you always hear that protein is bad on your kidneys (which my nephrologist disagrees with but he may be the only one 🤣). I no longer have to run to the bathroom 10-15 times a day and I am back to a healthy weight. I don't have kidney stones. My inflammation and other blood tests are back in a normal range. I realize I'm just one person that hasn't been a part of any study or anything but I've met so many people like me who have improved their quality of life with a diet of mostly animal based products. I hope there can be more studies in the future so that more people can feel better. Anyway, I usually don't comment on anything but saying that stories like mine are "wild claims" is what compelled me to comment. My story is such a "wild claim" that it saved my life so I fully believe when people say that it cured their depression or other ailments. Would I have believed it 10 years ago when I reluctantly started? No. But sometimes you have to be in it to believe it. This whole situation has made me more reluctant to judge other people's lifestyles. If someone told me that their labs improved on a vegetarian or vegan diet then I would believe them and be happy that they feel better, not tell them their claims are wild. But that simply wasn't the case for me, and it doesn't make my claims any less valid or wild than theirs 😊
Omg thank you for this!!! I am having an extreme lupus flare, joint, back pain, extreme brain fog and migraines, chest pain. All from inflammation on my organs. I just started carnivore a few days ago. I am hoping for relief 🥲
Carnivore saved me. I was always in pain everywhere. I was so depressed. I was ill all the time. Years of depression gone, pain gone and illnesses gone. I'm my own evidence.
I was a vegetarian for 18 years, I was so sick all the time. Arthritis, stomach pain and once I turned carnivore all my pain , stomach issues, brain fog, skin tighten. I'm sorry I think you should try it!
Again this is more likely due to the fact it’s an elimination diet. You’re supposed to add the foods that don’t cause your body distress back in after not leave them out forever. No I don’t try diets at all I have an eating disorder. But especially not fad diets with unfounded claims and lack of evidence to show any health benifit.

Carnivore is a very functional & healing elimination diet for many, especially those who've come to harm via excessively plant based eating habits, what ever that may've been, for them. After recovering, many then do well with cautious food reintroductions, often adopting some kind of carnivore adjascent approach.
I am doing carnivore now as an elimination diet. This is my last resort to identify my inflammation triggers. Do I plan on staying carnivore? Nope, never, not in this life. To your credit, you've left the comments section open. I personally came to view the comments, so I guess I'm trolling. GP's definition of "healthy" is defined by a sick population and is far from optimal. With all due respect to you and your journey towards betterment, you look far from optimal and I'm wondering why you've nominated yourself as an authority on health? Furthermore, although there are always outliers, you generally most definitely can identify health aesthetically as certain attributes are an extension of health and so directly linked. There's a reason we are more often than not drawn to certain attributes without societal engineering

We don't have the digestive track or the teeth of true carnivores. Being omnivores we can survive on just meat, just plants, or both. I think so many people are turning to carnivore brcause so mucn of modern food is poison or sprayed with poison. When they eliminate all of that they of course feel a lot better. I did an elimination diet (a vegan one) and also felt amazing compared to how sick i felt. I hope that all with carnivore/vegan/what ever debate we can get to the heart of the issue, which is that our food system is making us sick.
The teeth thing was always a red-herring. Animals have large canines to kill and butcher prey, not to eat it. Pre-humans and early humans, on the other hand, evolved as scavengers and then became persistence hunters, using brains, tools and cooperation - not teeth - to kill. Hence we have the high stomach acidity of scavengers, and the shortened digestive tract of carnivores. Chemical analysis of early humans has confirmed we evolved as carnivores. It is the species-appropriate diet for humans; a fact lost for 12000 years following the advent of farming.

i'm so confused by all the people parading this "diet". how are you going to fix your inevitable deficiencies when you get nothing from eating high cholesterol chunks of flesh and raw eggs? what makes you think you suddenly know better than hundreds of scientists and dieticians who have spent decades researching the optimal foods (which are always meant to be guidelines, not everyone can eat the same stuff due to allergies etc.) the human body requires? like how do you seriously come to the conclusion that plants/veggies make you sick. where are you getting your fibers and antioxidants then
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 YES

There was plenty of evidence. Feel free to watch the full videos from the clips I used. They’re linked in the description. I would particularly recommend Abi Sharpe
@@sportybethMost people do keto wrong. You’re not supposed to be in a ketogenic state constantly-which is very bad for you, and women are especially sensitive to the detrimental effects of prolonged ketosis.
Also Abbey Sharp doesn’t have a clue what she’s talking about.
Book yourself a consultation with Professor Bart Kay. Argue the toss with him. Challenge him about his views on people such as Abbey Sharp and watch him start laughing his head off in your face and then provide you with actual irrefutable science. Try having an actual scientific debate with him. He always livestreams his debates and no one ever proves him incorrect. I’m not even a scientist and he’s educated me to no end.
Abi sharp weeps about her depression on camera, I don't want any advice she could give about diet because her diet could easily be the reason she's depressed.
@@sportybeth Debate Professor Bart Kay or even book a consultation with him. Better still, watch him debate other so-called “doctors” and scientists on the mechanisms of cholesterol or cardio pathology-since that’s his area of expertise.
Also, eating disorders are one of the most commonly reported issues being resolved on this diet. Just an FYI.
No offence, but this vid including most of your vids seem like pure cope.
I'd suggest you try a keto/carnivore diet for 2months without cheating and then make a video about it.
There is a reason good doctors are prescribing a ketogenic diet to people diagnosed with diabetes
Wow you are arrogant!
No way this girl looking like this is talking about health 💀
Well this video backfired didn’t it? 😂
No 😂
all true. until you try it, dont knock it. Unless this is just click bait in your title...
I don’t try fad diets with ridiculous unscientific claims anymore but it’s basically the same as paleo which I have done.
I like your content, but I disagree on one thing you said in this video. "My health metrics are nobody else's business." You've chosen to post fitness content on social media. Being a larger person and insisting you are healthy, you've opened yourself up to critics, and worse, trolls. We have all suffered the influence of what beauty and fit "looks like" so when people see you posting fitness content, adamantly declaring you're fit and healthy, people have doubts. Sharing your health metrics will help prove your critics wrong! More so than showing how much you can lift. It's like a youtuber who posts content on how to become a millionaire but then says what's in their bank account is nobody else's business.
I have shared my health metrics multiple times. Feel free to go back and watch my content. It doesn’t make any difference at all. So you’re wrong there. And they still remain no one’s business. No one’s health metrics are ever your business no matter what they post online.
You are just talking out off your ass, carnivore literally saved my life.
Fruits and veggies are not nutrient dense in terms of bioavailable nutrition.
Waw you’ve left a lot of comments. All of them completely false
You clearly eat 10,000 calories per day
You clearly can’t do maths
You should really try for 90 days, you’ll change your mind. My mom is off of depression meds after 15 years because of this diet.
>carnivore people talking about how well their diet works
>sporty beth ranting about how "toxic" they are
hm, I think I know who I'm going to listen to
Everyone's journey is personal I see you get allot of negative comments about what is working for you..and I'm truly pleased you have found your path. I have had multiple health issues and carnivore has worked for me. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and serious fatty liver and high blood pressure. All are normal now which is such a relief as it was so scary. Your message is not to judge other people's story so maybe you can understand the carnivore people who have found something that is working for them even it it's difficult to understand just as your journey is hard for allot of people to understand.
Can you also make positive videos?
This is sad.
To your credit, you've left the comments section open. I personally came to view the comments, so I guess I'm trolling. It seems that the comments about carnivore are causing your some consternation which is understandable when your ideas are challenged. We've followed dietary dogma for years and look where society is at. Its time to rethink the paradigm. I challenge you to try carnivore for 30 days. That way you'll have a better understanding of how to debunk it. So I guess it just depends on your response to differing opinions. Dig in and ignore or rise to the challenge.
Mind you this is also a person who thinks High Fructose Corn Syrup isn't "bad"
That should tell you everything you need to know about this person :)
As soon as I saw how "healthy" you look, I quit this video. This is crazy, everyone comments on everything nowadays like they are health gurus. 😂 (Before you comment stupid pseudo funny crap: I dont follow no diet, I listen to my body).
You look very very healthy. I am definitely going to take health advice from you!
A whale lecturing people about their diet...
How rich...
I tried carnivore and it didn't work for me, but you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
What didn't work? What's working for you now?
GP's definition of "healthy" is defined by a sick population and is far from optimal. With all due respect to you and your journey towards betterment, you look far from optimal and I'm wondering why you've nominated yourself as an authority on health? Furthermore, although there are always outliers, you generally most definitely can identify health aesthetically as certain attributes are an extension of health and so directly linked. There's a reason we are more often than not drawn to certain attributes without societal engineering
What works for one person may not work for the other, and that's okay. Some people like to be in calorie deficits, some like keto others do the carnivore diet. Do whatever works for you. Stay healthy ❤️
Yep science backed or not, I support individual choice regarding everything. I just wish more people would realise these fad diets are not backed by science. But it’s up to them to do what they want with their body.
@@sportybeth I think a lot of people forget as well that becoming fit and healthy isn't for 6 months and then going back to your old habits it's a complete life style change and what you chose to do you must be prepared to do it for the rest of your life
@sportybeth Your criticism of this diet isn't backed by science. It's a double-edged sword. There is limited science for or against the diet, so you don't have sufficient evidence to claim that it's bad.
Carnivore saved my life.
But you got clout on this one.
I feel starving and depressed if I don't eat at least 150g carbs per day (ideally 200g), and i'm only 5"1. I exercise regularly and eat high protein, but carbs are essential for me to function, and to feel full.
There is no such thing as "naturalistic fallacy". People who dont understand nature came up with that term.
😂😂😂 omg
@@sportybeth Everything truly natural is good, anything outside nature is bad...for human health and survival. Humans evolved to do something = that is good for our health. We do something that we never did before = bad for human health. There are 0 arguments to counter this logic...since its perfect.
Why does anyone even care what other people do? Stay in your own lane and live what your own journey.
Ur just saying this bad, because nothing, you’re just making claims not actually proving any of them. lol
No but the people I linked and clipped did
Genuine suggestion - try it for 30 days and see how you feel.
What I want to know is why are my buddies who are going carnivore turning gay?
This is literally an ad for the carnivore diet😂
It's always one extreme or the other with people 🤣
You should look at which extreme is doing better, then factor it in...
The fact that you're pregnant and eating like this and training heavily at 8 months is so sad.... I would at least worry about how you're nurturing your child or risking a miscarriage..
Blue zones, 😂, I'm out.
Honestly... this video shows that you clearly don't understand a thing about nutrition, human metabolism, health, or what the carnivore way of eating even is...i have a lot more to say but I'll keep it to myself here...
Hey woman. Maybe you should stick to speaking on things you have actual experience with?? You've never tried carnivore so how do you know anything about it?? You have to try it smh.. and until you try it, everything you say is just bs - your opinion. And your opinion is worth nothing.
*And you can tell by looking at somebody if they are unhealthy*
Hey women!!. Maybe you should stick to eating in a way that’s actually good for your health not believing bs anecdotal rubbish.
@sportybeth hey, yes! I'm eating a proper human diet - essential proteins and essential fats, eating the nutrients that are biologically available for my body to absorb - and it has been working out very well for me over the near 5 years I've been eating this way. Thank you. No need for anecdotes, my body is showing me everything! And it is thriving. I'm off seizure medication that I've been on my entire life, no more anxiety and panic attacks, no more night terrors, no more snoring, no more brain fog, peaceful and deep sleep, energy levels are high and stable, hormones are balanced, menstrual cycle is back to normal, i have my brain health back and have lost over 70lb - and I could easily go on but you'd never believe me, and that's ok. Live your life. But just stay in your lane. Don't speak on things you have zero experience with. It just makes you look ignorant 🙏🏾
😅
We don't have the digestive track or the teeth of true carnivores. Being omnivores we can survive on just meat, just plants, or both. I think so many people are turning to carnivore brcause so mucn of modern food is poison or sprayed with poison. When they eliminate all of that they of course feel a lot better. I did an elimination diet (a vegan one) and also felt amazing compared to how sick i felt. I hope that all with carnivore/vegan/what ever debate we can get to the heart of the issue, which is that our food system is making us sick.
We cannot survive on vegetables alone, and our digestive tract is a lot closer to a carnivore, we can stay perfectly healthy eating just meat
@@Lydiadragonbourne plants does not equal only vegetables. A vegan diet has been proven to be a healthy option for all stages of life. Eat just meat if you want to- I never said it was bad for you to do so.
@@emilyplatt8172 plants are vegetables.....if you're a vegan you're only eating plants...and mushrooms I guess. There's a bunch of ESSENTIAL nutrients that humans CANNOT get from plants, humans HAVE to eat animal products to survive.
@@Lydiadragonbourne nuts, seeds, legumes, and fruit are all examples of plants that aren't vegetables. Poison ivy and grass are some others. A vegan/plant based diet has been proven to be a healthy option for all stages of human life- you don't have to do it, but your feelings about it won't change facts.
