Your videos give me a lot of inspiration to get a new one once car prices come back down! Wisconsin will have a Bk2 pushing 500hp at sometime soon!
Hey bro we were emailing earlier about updating my order from the tomei turbo to this one. I don’t know if you remember but I just wanted to ask if you updated it yet. I’m also super grateful that you made this video because now I feel like I’m able to install it myself. Do you think you could make a vid on how to actually put it in the Genesis and all the steps I need to follow before cranking up the car for the first time after the installation. Mainly curious about what I need to do with the coolant and oil
I'm thinking about this definitely in the future. A little off topic, I ordered the alphaspeed canned tune on a new ecu from you guys but haven't heard anything back.. what's usually the time it takes from order to shipment if you don't mind.. sorry just excited 😊 Loving the content!!!

Can you get a different turbo and put this ball bearing kit on it? Im still learning how all this works. I have an automatic 2013 2.0t and i wanna go for the 500 hp with bolt ons only or as much as possible at least. I was thinking if this is just a ball bearing kit would it be smarter to put this kit on an aftermarket turbo so maybe it would last longer than the oem turbo would?

I recently purchase a ar3 for my bk2 upon installing it my car makes no boost what’s soever .. however the turbo boost source you mentioned on the turbo I didn’t put anything I just used one vacuum boost port from bk2 intercooler to the wastegate.. so do I need another boost source for the turbo ?
@@BTRcarcustoms I had a tune stuffed turbo but upgraded to this but no boost at all since the install got to get the re-tuned after I figure this issue .. so if I capped the hole I’ll get boost ?
@@jeezuskhrist4557 you are most likely not building boost because the lack of a tune. The ecu will pull throttle because your oem wastegate is missing from the loop. Capping the boost source port will be all you need to do since you are using the bung off the oem pipe but with that said the cap should be strong enough to handle boost

Hi, I’m looking to get the kit just need a couple questions answered. I know I need a tune but what kind? Do upgraded fuel injectors come with the kit? How much boost do I need? And beside the kit, fuel injectors, tune and boost, what else do I need? Sorry I’m kinda new to this.
only bk1 (2010-12) need to upgrade injectors. bk2 the oem ones will handle up to around 400 whp without issue. if you have a bk1, a good size would be 750cc or 1000cc depending on the turbo size you choose. and you would want to add bolt ons to the turbo kit to get the maximum benefit such as intake, exhaust and intercooler. intercooler is only needed upgrade for the bk1 as the bk2 intercooler is sufficient from factory. the spark plugs you want to run are ngk2309 gapped at 0.028 and would recommend running a full synthetic 5w30 engine oil changed at every 3000 miles

I have the 2013 R-Spec once, I am planning on buying the TD06SL2-AR3 do I have to upgrade anything else with it so the engine doesn't go bad. I know I have to the NGK spark plug but is there anything else I should upgrade so my engine can stay reliable as a daily
Yeah I have the same question. But from what my dad has told me is that yes you would definitely need to upgrade more parts in order to keep it reliable I just don’t know what exactly.

Its a 500 capable turbo kit. Doesnt mean you have to push it that far :). With that said a bk2 20T with the AR3 turbo, upgraded oem injectors and water/meth can push around 430-440 whp which is more than 500 crank hp

In fact if you followed the link to the turbo kit in question, there are many different turbo options from 350 - 500 crank hp rated turbos. Btw 390 whp on a manual gencoupe also translates to about 455 crank hp which is not too shabby at all :) If you wanted to achieve the 500 crank you can do so on a bk2 with water/meth and modified oem injectors while using the ar3 turbo in the kit. This will net you around 420-430 whp with a custom tune at around 23-24 psi.

You cant just leave that port open. And do you have a tune?

@@cameronned8707 boost controller is needed. The kit has drop down options for the spark plugs and the boost controller

Id aim for 300-315 wheel torque to be safe
