It was like watching an old warrior enter Valhalla, that entire arena was full of love, respect and admiration. I've never seen anything like that, and what a beautiful display of sportsmanship and comradery.

I have said this many times, and will continue to say it again. The only way for Dana and the UFC to have a change of heart and start paying fighters what they deserve is if there is enough competition from other fight leagues. If Bellator and the PFL would combine like the AFC and NFC did to make the NFL, they would be big enough to challenge the UFC for the best fighters, and to drive fighter pay and benefits up to where they should be.
competition is bliss in every field, but it's hard to compete with the ufc right now. i think the ufc has more fighters than all other organizations, so I think they're paying their fighters. and if a fighter wants more then he gotta bring numbers .
Then nfl has no competition and it pays players more. It lays players more because way more people watch it and they sell thousands of times more merch. The ufc is new and has to invest in growing the audience. They pay based on who brings a audience which I think is fair. The fighters are getting what they give.
@@TheDegenerateTravler You seem to have done very little to no research on the NFL, or the UFC. The NFL has traditionally had many different competing leagues, (CFL, Arena football, XFL, USFL), they failed because unlike the UFC, the NFL has a players union, healthcare coverage, and a percentage of the profits are guaranteed to go to the players/coaches/staff. The UFC is NOT new, and MMA has been a thing since the 1990's (UFC 1 was in 1993).
@@Youssef-hd5bl The UFC pays the smallest portion of their budget to fighters of any major sport in North America. The MMA is so big and such a huge profit maker, that their are literally over a half dozen organizations.....the UFC is the biggest, but Bellator and PFL are large enough that if they combined they could compete with the UFC.
While I agree with paying fighters more, citing the CFL, Arena, XFL and USFL as competitors with the NFL is laughable.

Tony should have gotten the love from ufc and been able to at least fight mcgregor once. He’s paid his dues and even if he’s not the same as he once was it doesn’t diminish his work ethic for the company
He's probably a tough personality to reign in for the 6-8 weeks they would need to film and also I'm not sure how his very unorthodox training would translate as a coach to all the fighters.

I’ve not watched 2 cards already this year. Also, last year more, towards the end of the year I didn’t watch one. Years prior I never missed any card. So I’m sure there are others who aren’t watching some of these apex events now.
Same here was purchasing every one for a long time but they’ve sure made it easy to say no to many of them over the past while.. To me every PPV should be stacked but even the one this weekend is just meh .. Some good fights but 70 bucks worth? Really? I don’t think so.. I like the 3am ppv uk time so used to it being peaceful and quiet with full focus on the fights. That used to it now that earlier ones just feel weird. Then there's the added bonus of no extra cost to the BT sport subscription.. anything primetime for us they stick on box office and squeeze more money from us.. I feel like I'm being punished whenever there's a prime time event for us. Lmao Impossible for me to watch in peice with full focus and I've to pay extra.. give me 3am main card start everytime, love them.
Why was poirier not considered for TUF or Mcgregor v Poirier 4? I don’t understand if Dustin didn’t want it, Conor didn’t want it, if Dustin is going for the belt, or if the ufc is trying to build up to Poirier Mcgregor 4. Either way, this is the fight to make and will be the fight of the freakin century. Hopefully Mcgregor wins so we can (hopefully) actually put an end to the Mcgregor Poirier war.
