I feel like people who complain about the music industry more times than not are really bad with financial literacy. Many artist will make 5 dollars and not think how can I use this to make 10. They complain they aren’t making enough instead “nothing works”
Nic D strategy ... its a numbers game, i own everything cause i NEVER sold out back in da day! Now i have 100's of songs to post , i own 2 distrokid profiles , 1 for my reggae , 1 for my hip hop/r&b so i have a playlist building which has all the songs from both profiles now im selling off songs , f being a artist its a producers game .003 x Lets Goooooo, get them songs up
Along with the cover art, song splits, and name of the primary/featured artists, music distributors should require the following before a song is released. 1) Credit the producer AND engineer. There are so many songs released without this information, 2) A checkbox acknowledging that all of the song's collaborators are aware of the upcoming release, and 3) A checkbox acknowledging that collaborators have signed a split sheet. Adding splits on the distributor's platform is not a substitute for the split sheet.
but still thats no reason to get mad at cha boss, i took it as extra motivation especially since I respect you based on your resume' , thought deep about it , im getn money though, honestly, money i wasnt getn , n new organically grown fans plus gigs, took me a minute (years) to learn WHAT an algorithm is, nuff people lack that knowledge, life changer! 👊🏾💚😎❤️
I agree with what Erinn and Pain are saying with Erinn’s topic from Larussell. I am by no means where I want to be but consistency in releases, content and ad spend have definitely helped me and grow not just with streaming but with socials and its growth. I know for me it’s just doing it for a whole year will definitely be more beneficial for me once I can learn to obtain that balance. I’ve seen great results from 3-6 months of doing it consistently (ad spend) now I’m working towards the year long time period
Algo is clearly slacking on the big move. 😤 Now that I've completely scraped Weaver Beats 💩 off of my feed, I gotta get back to this _constructive_ content from the MEC. 💪
@ get paid half work out contracts prior to sending it’s a lot of ways to make sure this doesn’t happen majority of people so excited to be in the room tho
50 years old n still making beats n writing hot songs, definitely disagree with telling people not to live their dreams. Not about money , its about a way of life, Hip Hop culture! Age aint nothing but a # my brother! Even wack tracks might have great samples within lol Dont be soooo smart that you end up sounding stupid! Check my release section ... just getn started 🎧 👊🏾💚😎❤️
I don't know how u guys do it but the money being made from streaming is off of the marketshare the labels negotiated with the streaming companies, and that penny payout per stream is not what they get since they are playing a marketshare game that locks out 99% of the pool. And people are still working with no paperwork in writing camps? Wow that's crazy. Kanye only releases music as marketing for his other products the music itself don't bring in no revenue. Albums in 2024 is kinda crazy even the labels like are transitioning into just being distributors. Tech only devalues music. Once the labels worked with Apple and the iPad they were cooked the album got devalued I to a 99cent 1 song download

I've been following Pain and y'all for a year now, and I've really grown from your advice. Thanks for the help!
that's dope. Thank you for tuning in.
I’m bought to follow it. 2025 📈

Independent artists are annoying to me. There are some good ones I’ve met but there is so much entitlement in a lot of them in my experience
If you leave the studio without getting paid that’s on you….. we’re all guilty of it
What if it was all done 📞 _remotely?_

I think it's a great strategy, product testing has been proven to work.
