The men not being obsessed with sex is a shocker to me. I’m a virgin and don’t plan on losing it until I’m in a stable relationship or even married but every guy that had tried taking with me always wants sex and it’s such a turnoff. It’s rare to find a good man who will wait and appreciate other things than thinking or wanting to have sex.
Sex is important part of a relationship. I am a demisexual woman and I know what you're talking about. Many don't bother to romance you. To me it is too soon to have sex after second or a third date. A month or two is ok. It is period in which I can see how someone acts. The funny thing is that most men over thirty are like..well you had sex before and we aren't kids. Well we aren't so I ask them to test for stds. They are shocked. Well we aren't kids are we? Men have more testosterone and sex is way much on their mind on a daily bases. There are demisexual men and also there are heterosexual men who know how to build the attraction. Not all are jerks who only want to score.

As a 24 year old virgin (attracted to others) I can agree that I do feel pressured to have sex/relationship as soon as possible to get through this "initiation" phase. I am trying to overcome this feel, and so far it's been working well for me, but there were some really tough times and bad decisions made on the way. So to anyone who's feeling the same, it's okay to stay virgin as long as you need to, we are all different!
Don't let society intimidate you: none of that is worth your while, believe me. The right person is one that will make the whole process of intercourse for the first time feel genuine, smooth, and FUN.
I'm 25 and am a virgin as well. As a female, even I feel pressured. All my girl friends (at least the majority of them) have lost their virginity and then there's me. lmao Yeah, I could be a slut but nah. I could hook up with somebody for one night. Nope. lol Even though it's hard, it's better to wait. I believe sex is more worth it when it's with somebody you love and not just somebody you hooked up with from off the street. The right girl (I'm assuming you're a straight dude haha correct me if I'm wrong) won't care if you're still a virgin. Heck, you might get a girl who's still a virgin as well and if all goes well, you'll get to experience something wonderful and beautiful together.
I've been virgin until 26, no relationships either, I was never looking for any as well. Then one day I just met a girl, I wasn't even attracted to her at first but after a couple of months we fell in love with each other. Just live your life an enjoy it, sometimes things simply happen when you don't expect them
Just gonna ignore the fact that the title says “6 Psychological facts” while the video says “8 Psychological facts” :> Also, hey :)) To anybody who reads this, I hope you’re having a wonderful day ^^
Exactly. I actually know a guy who died a virgin because he was ugly and slow, and no matter how hard he tried no woman ever wanted him. than one day he had a heart attack and was dead just like that having lived for 50 years of never being good enough for anyone and died alone and a virgin. So, you are right. many people will die a virgin because they are ugly and we live in an extremely shallow world. If you don't have good looks or a lot of money? You will die a virgin more likely than not.
@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT Sorry for the guy you knew, I still have doubt if the guy you just described existed, since what you say after sounds like an excuse to say how unfair the world of dating is and make someone reading the comment bitter by saying they will die as virgin. To anyone who was scared by that guy, at least you aren't stuck with psycho that want to baby-trap you. Better 'virgin' than sticking it in crazy.
@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT I don't think that's that much of a big deal. The virgin part at least. Okay? He died without ever having sex. So? I don't understand the big deal and hype about losing your virginity. I could die a virgin and couldn't care less. That isn't my priority.
Quick question: I've had it drilled into my head throughout my teenage years that asking anything about sex is forbidden, and any male doing so is to be labelled a pervert / lecher / creepy, regardless of how innocuous that question might be. How can one overcome that sort of stigma, especially when that mindset has had at least a decade to settle in?
I've been fortunate enough that even though I grew up (and am still growing up, since I'm 15) in a Christian home, my grandparents, by whom I was raised, have always been very open in regard to discussing the topic of sex. It makes no sense that a person should be labeled as heretical for wanting a better understanding of a God-given bodily function, considering a number of books in the Bible itself discuss sex extensively, those books existing for the sole purpose of informing believers about the subject while being exhalted as sacred works by the Church. It's not knowledge that corrupts you, but what you do with it. "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. (Matthew 15:11, KJV)" Hope this helps, and have a great day! God bless!
Misinformation and an unhealthy attitude and belief system about sex is what causes a lot of perversion and all other vile things. Your sexuality and capacity to be sexually engaged is a natural part of you. Sex is a deliberate design that has been encompassed into all species. It's how we procreate and it's how we connect with our partners and maintain oneness. Read up on varying perspectives around sex. Read up about our Creator's thought behind creating sex and how He desires us to use it. Conduct a case study on people who have deviated from that intent. You'll find that miseducation/misinformation about sex is the cause of all kinds of sexual perversion, exploitation, violence and shame. Sex is not a bad thing and asking questions isn't something to be ashamed of either. You can undo the bad work that you've learnt throughout the years.
Perhaps you might want to use Inna Segal - The secret language of the body. It is a good book that I use and I have also used to help with my friends and my partner. It's a good book that you may be interested to look up a get for yourself to you. I recommend Inna Segal.
The study that showed that brain stimulation is stronger with people who have had a lot of sex does not necessarily mean that we are wired from birth to want more sex. It says that there is a correlation. But to figure out causation you would have to conduct a predictive, not a diagnostic study. Aka comparing neurological patterns as children and then see how they turn out 15 years later
Yep, it´s chicken or egg situation: is their brain stimulation stronger because they have a lot of sex, or do they have a lot of sex because their brain stimulation is stronger? Is it connected and both of these things strengten each other?
The more people watch porn and think about sex, the more their brain becomes wired to think about sex. I don't have the study reference, but it has been studied. But it is also common sense, the more you think about something the more your life revolves round it, so if you think about sex all the time, then yeah, your life is going to revolve around it.
I mean she's not wrong. Lots of people never will have it at any point but most people try it at least once whether or not they enjoy it out go on to try it again. I mean if you walked down the street and randomly questioned 500 people if they'd ever had sex before, chances are nearly most of them would say yes.

I'm homeschooled too, and it's so funny how everyone assumes we don't know anything XD Like I get the same knowledge I would get in school, but plus extra Love and affection form my parents because I'm not gone all day, plus a better relationship with my parents, because they are the ones teaching me, and always know what I'm struggling with and how to help, plus a crazy strong relationship with my siblings, plus all my friendships are Real, and we're not trying to act cool. My parents always said one of their least favorite things about school, is that they push EVERYTHING. They want every kid to learn something as good as everyone else, at the exact same time as everyone else. As a kid, my sister couldn't read, barley at all, it just wasn't clicking in her head. She was really young and her brain just hadn't developed that part enough, so my Mom took it out of her school for about a year, than when she brought it back, it clicked and she started reading every book, until her room became a library. So instead of (if she was in school.) Being forced to learn it anyway, and not understanding it, and feeling like she's stupid, and getting picked on, and learning to HATE Reading. Instead she got to take a break, let her mind grow, come back, get good fast, and love it the rest of her life. And that's one of the reasons I love being homeschooled 😎

I find it tragic that most people depend on the satisfaction of others. I recall feeling more interested in sexual engagement when ovulating. This interest translated into focusing more attention on a “love interest’. It makes sense that the “love interest”” would potentially respond to this attention.
I'm on the asexual spectrum and just the idea of it makes me really uncomfortable. I actually kinda puked when I heard what it is... But in the end, I get it, it's just physical needs, so ofc I'm not trying to offend anyone. People need to watch this video tbh. It increases their knowledge and the STD thing brings awareness to use protection, and to even check urself. 💯
The fact about attraction during ovulation--hmm, it's almost like, biologically speaking, the drive for sex connected to ovulation is about reproduction.... It makes perfect sense because it happens in other animals too. Pretty sure we are driven by quite a few biological factors we aren't fully aware of that leads to survival and reproduction.

Well, from my experiences, I wouldn’t have thought men would be so widely pressured into sex, as personally, it’s always gone the other way around... though I guess everyone is different, so it makes sense that that could be the case...
Might be both, and the men are allowed or expected to be the "boss" and take control to get what society has told them to get (even if they are not ready for it), whilst women are expected to be less dominant and do the wish of others. Maybe??
Boys might feel the pressure from other boys, in a sense of being the last one in their friend group who has never had sex. Girls are definitelly pressured more often by their partners than vice versa.
@@koresaliva Not all dudes fit the whole "dominant and tough" stereotype, and they'd rather just abstain from sexual relations. Because society stupidly places so much emphasis on the need for men to fit that stereotype and correlates promiscuity with this sought-after masculinity, guys feel that they need to be in an intimate relationship to be appreciated. It makes no sense that giving into every lustful whim of the human mind is viewed as more "masculine" than resisting such foolish impulses, but that's the state our society is in right now (sorry for my proselytizing).
@@Mysikrysa i agree with your opinion 100% ! To be honest, i was very lucky that my first boyfriend was really kind, my first time was very relaxed and i wasnt anxious at all. I think this is very interesting because my girlfriend always is told she's weird because she likes sex a lot more than her friends. I'm definitely not complaining about that LOL. But we did wait quite a while before we became physically active. I know I definitely fall under the one category of thinking about the partner because that caught her off-guard when I focused on her instead of myself like her ex did. With my girlfriend than ovulation one is exactly spot-on.
0:17 or because the society itself condemn/discourage people from talking about it that it becomes a taboo instead. Many eastern countries are like this (eg. in Asia, only in big, metropolitan cities where it's not much of a taboo to openly/publicly speak about sex when you're unmarried yet). And in the end it also leads to the lack of available/accessible sex education.
@@chuckyyes your original comment made it sound like if you don't have sex you are an incel. That's what i'm confused about. Some people just don't have sex for various reasons, that is to say voluntary.
It is way more important to get to know a woman and take your time instead of jumping into sex. Having an emotional connection is important. I was impatient with sex and met the wrong women and that made me miss red flags and have chaotic relationships. My last relationship was good and better than previous ones because it wasn't rushed. Be patient because relationships can cause some stress especially if you jump right in bed with someone you hardly know.
The scent part is totally true, and what's even more interesting is every person has their own unique smell much like our fingerprints. Finding a partners' natural scent attractive also suggests compatibility for having children as it's an indication that both your immune systems are sufficiently diverse.
i went to a clinic, and saw a nurse. she was glowing a little, smiling a lot... i asked her "are you, expecting?" she was so surprised! she asked how i knew! i said that she had that special "aura" around her, and a sweet scent to go with it... (she found out just that morning..)
So true!! I feel super pressured sometimes when I meet a guy and also I have tried super hard to focus on the act and not worry too much about my anxiety over whether my partner is doing okay but I just can’t seem to not worry about if they’re satisfied or not.
Very interesting. I have one objection, though. About item 1. Having a high sexual drive does NOT equal wanting to have/actually having above average number of partners. Some people have tremendous libido exactly and JUST when that very speciall mate is available. Some people who are prone to promiscuity may actually have LESS sex than certain people who are in comitted relationships.
@Mama Bear I was thinking I was the only one with that kind of profile/experience. I often make jokes about being an extraterrestrial... I hear so much BS and boasting and glorification of high rate partner change and whatnot...

It's called asexuality.
@@jm543 this makes a lot of sense. I’m just so use to guys just asking fir that quickly. Not caring about my feelings or morals they just go straight to the point
@@simply-living8523 Don't focus on those kinds of guys or you will ultimately ruin your date life or turn asexual. Wait or look for the right one to come, and turn away those who are just in for the pleasure like an idiot. It will help women feel more secure and it will also help men drop that attitude, because as a male it is difficult to try not to seem I only want sexual interaction when I'm only looking for love.
I think that was the point they were trying to make: the pressure for them to have sex might be why they're trying to have sex with you sometimes
What are other interesting psychological facts about sex that wasn't listed in this video? P.S We also made a video on the juicy facts about kissing. Watch it: th-cam.com/video/uiARcYp6vmc/w-d-xo.html

The right person is one that will make the whole process of intercourse for the first time feel genuine, smooth, and FUN.
unrelated but nice jc pfp
@@LavvieDump :)

@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT that's extemely sad
@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT Sorry for the guy you knew, I still have doubt if the guy you just described existed, since what you say after sounds like an excuse to say how unfair the world of dating is and make someone reading the comment bitter by saying they will die as virgin. To anyone who was scared by that guy, at least you aren't stuck with psycho that want to baby-trap you. Better 'virgin' than sticking it in crazy.
@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT or not everyone wants to do it
@@ITIsFunnyDamnIT I don't think that's that much of a big deal.
God bless!
Read a lot of books on sexuality and psychology. All the best!💗

Yes, thank you for pointing that out
Yep, it´s chicken or egg situation: is their brain stimulation stronger because they have a lot of sex, or do they have a lot of sex because their brain stimulation is stronger? Is it connected and both of these things strengten each other?
The more people watch porn and think about sex, the more their brain becomes wired to think about sex. I don't have the study reference, but it has been studied. But it is also common sense, the more you think about something the more your life revolves round it, so if you think about sex all the time, then yeah, your life is going to revolve around it.
_nearly everyone of us will have it at one point_

why proud, some achievement is it?
in my country they teach nothing about sexual life in schools xd
bruh kids who go to school kinda treat homeschooled kids like aliens lmao. like you get the same education, if not better.
@@hi-kt8jj Better definitely!
And that's one of the reasons I love being homeschooled 😎
i can't be the only one who started laughing my butt off when she said "alpha male"

Yeah, those terms are obsolete already. I started doubting the credibility of this channel after they mentioned "alpha male".
@@sandiicalifornia you don't have to. They may be obsolete but they are still something of valid context. Usually what people mean by alpha male in human society is simply someone who is confident in themselves and has a dominant and leadership mentality, nothing more
@@patootie3529 Ok then, if that's the definition of that by metamorphic context. And speaking from experience, most of these so called "alpha men" are also egoistic, arrogant and narcissistic.
Yeah, but they don't mean that stupid social persona. Rather, a natural term for natural traits of a man to lead and dominate. You wouldn't quite laugh about the term "alpha wolf" would you? Alpha wolf's are the leaders of the pack are they not? That's how the term is being used.
I find it tragic that most people depend on the satisfaction of others. There are much more important things in life than sleeping around with lots of people! :/ If you're going to be close to someone you love, it should be for love not to feel cool or to impress others. I always thought it was girls that felt pressured since well, many guys just like to act dominant and tough, when girls are the ones at risk
@@koresaliva Not all dudes fit the whole "dominant and tough" stereotype, and they'd rather just abstain from sexual relations. i went to a clinic, and saw a nurse. she was glowing a little, smiling a lot... i asked her "are you, expecting?" she was so surprised! she asked how i knew! i said that she had that special "aura" around her, and a sweet scent to go with it... (she found out just that morning..)
I just found a video that's not published yet but I am not a time traveler 😏

Can’t agree more 👍
I'm glad someone mentioned this!
@Mama Bear
I was thinking I was the only one with that kind of profile/experience. I often make jokes about being an extraterrestrial...
I hear so much BS and boasting and glorification of high rate partner change and whatnot...
"Sex Sex Sex. Nearly everyone will have it at some point"
Yeah, I don't think so.
I'll have it after marrige :)
i plan on never being in a relationship lol
@@asra9897 you do you, but it's a terrible idea to not test sexual compatibility before going into a commitment. What if one of you finds out they are in the acespec and the other turns to be hypersexual?

One day, when u find ur spouse.
That was me 3 years ago. I bought my first house and my 1st wedding anniversary was last Sunday. It will come.
Aaayyyy I found my ppl
Same for me, but... with every new experience I'm more glad that I'm waiting
Me as Muslim: Hahahahahahahahahahaha
Edit: Being muslim is NOT bad but sexual relationship are only allowed when you are married which can be hard for someone to find right spouse.
My partner and I have been in a relationship for a decade, yet just shy of last year started being physical. And yes, we’re both virgin at that time lol so there’s really no rush 😊
I was in a relationship for 2 years before I lost it. There is no rush really.
What pose do you like?
So hows the mormon life?
@Moochim
How are y'all doing now?
She sound so excited and energetic 😭😭😭
Hello Psych2go team ^^
I know you maybe won't see this comment, but I think your videos about psyche are really great. The narrators voice is calming but still very interesting and you give good informations, without giving too much so it would be hard to listen. The mother of my best friend studied something in the direction of psyche (I don't know what exactly though-) and also said your videos give a really good insight.
Stay safe ^^

I love how most of your videos are short, but so informative!
The thumbnail strangely reminds me of Sokka 😂
That's rough, buddy.
I totally regret making the mistake of getting into a sexual relationship. I was 43 and never dated anyone before. A friend I was hanging out with somehow got me to change my mind. I wish I wouldn't have. It screwed me up. Just now 2 years later getting out of that situation
Take it easy my friend
Me eating a bag of chips with jojo bizarre adventure playing on TV: *Tell me more*
Hahaha. 🤣
Me, asexual and nonbinary: hmmm interesting
Being non-binary does not affect it- just a little reminder...
How does binary or not even come in if one is axexual?
being nb doesn’t have anything to do with it no hate tho
But don’t you feel lonely? This is my serious question, answer if you don’t mind
Interesting and fascinating 🧐. Sex should be discussed way more, especially between partners 💖😊
Definitely true, I always have that talk before deciding to do it with someone.
This is the first time for me to open the video in less than 5 minutes owo
Love your videos psych! Been watching your videos for a while, and they've helped me! Keep up the amazing work 🥰💗💕

The fact about ovulation surprised me the most! Thank You for asking and have a great day! :D!
