      Windermere or Lake Mary has a lot of Med/some Tuscan but this one is more authentic for sure

      You are correct- the homeowner requested that we keep the kids bedrooms and their master private. I will say that they are beautiful with smooth drywall, vaulted ceilings, their own bathrooms, and quality craftsmanship;)

    Are the building (blueprints) plans for sale?

    • @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor

      This is a one-off custom home built specifically for this homeowner to fit with the remodel of the existing home. For more information on the general architecture of the home, please contact the builder directly, Greg hardwick from Hardwick General Contracting.

  • @Skiroy

    Are the pool pavers just sitting on a Concrete slab so when it cracks and settles they wont crack also?

    • @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor
      @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the thin pavers get built up & leveled on a bed of crushed gravel, and packed paver sand. They act as additional drainage around the concrete pool area and lanai in most areas.

    • @Skiroy
      @Skiroy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OrlandoPropertyAdvisor Thank You. If one wanted to have a opening in the patio for a palm tree, would you just make a hole in the pavers? Or would you need to pour a concrete mold that extended down into the ground?

    • @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor
      @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've seen palm trees integrated into designs around pools- they leave space in the dirt and just dont put pavers there- Just be careful not to let the root ball grow too big and crack PVC pipes going into the pool or waterfall features- this can lead to pool leaks. No need for additional concrete to be poured to accommodate planters

    Oh, I thought that it was a Ramano's Macaroni Grill, or an Olive Garden. IT is a house?

    • @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor
      @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor  ปีที่แล้ว

      hahaha There are certainly some "Olive Garden" homes in the heavy mediterranean era in central florida. This one I cannot hate on because of all the detail and adherence to authentic look and materials. Bella Collina clubhouse is another good example. Go to Tuscany and experience some of their rolling hills and vistas and then you can appreciate this type of architecture.

    Just curious why are most pools in Florida enclosed like that?

    • @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor
      @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Bugs 🐜 and sand/ leaves blowing in... from November to February the weather is less humid and there’s less mosquitos 🦟 but in may-august you can have love bugs, gnats, and other small flying bugs which are quite annoying to have near the pool when you’re relaxing
      On some outdoor pools they do a mosquito misting system with citronella fluid that can help deter bugs

      Sounds good! There are some nice size lots on lakefront with 1-acre or more, you can find in Windermere, Dr Phillips, and more established areas of Greater Orlando. The homes might be a little older, or you could have the opportunity to do a new build on a nice size lot, after tearing down the old house. The only thing Tuscan is the look of the exterior. Not enough cotta tiles on the floors and ceilings. The interior open spaces are not Tuscan.

      Florida Tuscan… and not as heavy and dark as authentic maybe

  • @DaveM-FFB
    @DaveM-FFB 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I know that they are proud to show off this beautiful home, but there's way too much talking. It could have been an 8 minute video instead of 18 minutes. FYI, the pool cage structure is a 30 year old design. Haven't seen that on a newer home in decades.

    • @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor
      @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the feedback. We are now in our 3rd year of showcasing the builders' work for Parade of Homes, and trying to make them more interesting whilst still highlighting the builder and vendors work. As far as pool cages, they are prevalent in Florida due to bugs- I am building one on my new house 2021. I recall the challenge was keeping the tree limbs, not the design of the cage itself. This style of video is intended to educate, not to sell the home. We have some series of builder projects coming up, sort of like "this old house" meets new construction.

    • @DaveM-FFB
      @DaveM-FFB 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OrlandoPropertyAdvisor Yes, the video certainly does "educate", particularly for folks who aren't from Florida. We love Tuscan design, which is why we built a custom home of this design on the Florida gulf coast. I just haven't seen the "curved top" pool cage in a really long time. Obviously I'm nit-picking, because the house is otherwise gorgeous. Thanks for uploading the video.

    • @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor
      @OrlandoPropertyAdvisor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It hasn't sold recently- it was a complete renovation where the builder took a nearly tear-down house and expanded it into this tuscan theme. the family allowed the builder to enter it into the parade of homes so the builder could showcase their talents. But lakefront property like this in windermere is anywhere from $2.5M-$5.5M depending on size, finishes, lot location etc. Email me your criteria and I'll send you some recent sales on lakefront to compare to.
