Rural areas of North America doesn't have the best of internet. People in the country cant rely on digital downloads . Physical media both for movies and games are still relevant. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
i LOVE Physical Media. i told myself the moment consoles go all digital (like fully , without having a Disc/SDCard option) it will look like a limited PC to me and at that point i may just get a PC... so on that front Steam Deck seems to have the most value out of all
If fully digital happens it would be literally tragic. To play games without ever being able to feel and hold the media and without the ability of selling it or gifting it if you wanted to... I hope at least the gaming industry keeps physical alive like how CDs and vinyls are still around as alternatives in the music industry.
@@am_pm.17 same , the only reason i got XBOX Series S this generation is because it was literally 299 and works fine as a Gamepass/FIFA machine. i'm going PC after this
I really love the hassle free experience that consoles offer over PC. I own a 1080p 60hz TV and a series X. I put all my games on fidelity mode to enjoy maximum graphics and I really don't mind the 30FPS experience as once you start playing and get used to the framerate you get to enjoy awesome graphics. Loved the video :)
30 FPS might be option for you, or alot of other people, but for those of us who are used to 120+ not so much anymore. 60 FPS looks for me like 30 does to you. So for me playing on 30 would be like you playing on 15.
Bruh, why did you even get a Series X if you're fine with 1080p and 30fps. You should have gotten a Series S. The Series X is $500 because it's supposed to at least push towards 4K or 120fps.
Consoles have hidden costs that you're ignoring, like online subscription services and higher game prices at launch, as well as a lack of upgradability and freedom to do and use what you want with it (locked down os)
That's the thing a lot of people miss. It's a lower up-front immediate cost for a console, but you pay for it big time in the long run. Online subscription fees, more expensive games (a part of the reason console manufacturers are pushing to move for all-digital; it's all about having more control over the prices placed on games), and when the next generation comes out, you need to fork out another big fee for a completely new system. On PC, you can just upgrade a component that's kinda lacking (and sell your old one to recoup costs), or just run the new game on slightly lower settings since there's no "generation lock". And heck, console isn't even really cheaper upfront if you build your PC yourself, and know how to shop for parts (especially if you go for used parts here and there.) I play on PC, but my father plays on XBOX. The amount of money he's had to shell out for XBOX Live alone over the years could've bought him a PC that melts even mine, nevermind the cheaper games and other benefits.
@@fearlesswee5036I wasted so much money for ps plus and I feel like you shouldn’t need to buy it to play online like games are 70$ now and consoles are 500$ I just want to sit and play like the ps3 where I didn’t have to waste 100 more dollars to play online
@@fearlesswee5036 I own a PS5 and a PC, and the PS5 is cheaper even with subscription costs, not to mention that the sub cost has value in those free games that you get. I buy used disks so it's a 24/7 sale for me, I don't preorder games because we don't do that anymore after all the launch fiascos. It'll take a long time for my PS5 to reach the $4k my PC setup cost.
Right now it's £400 for the console and spider man 2 Vs £10 less for the console. Obviously black Friday but pc parts don't come close. It's £60 per year for ps plus. For 4 years (let's say that's how long you keep your pc) that's £640 for the PS5+spider man. Consoles are just way better value, pcs gotta wait till rdna 4 most likely for proper budget competition, even though a ps5 is only about an Rx 6600 in performance optimization makes that an Rx 6700
@@fearlesswee5036 On the flip side (of selling old PC components to recoup costs), on consoles you can sell physical games and recoup those costs as well. Buying a game from Steam or GOG means that it will always be there even if you don't like it and you won't ever get any return from it. Nothing physical either (something I personally value).
I mean, at the time of its release, the PS4 Slim was cheaper to manufacture and was a more affordable alternative from the original model and the Pro. Whilst the PS5 has only recently reappeared on store shelves, Sony kept manufacturing PS4 slims because they were to do so whilst simultaneously trying to resolve the PS5 shortage
It would have been nice if Sony included a SSD in this model of the PS4. A revision that would have not been too expensive, but would greatly improve the game-playing experience.
There are people doing that as the drive is user replaceable but you'd be surprised how little difference it makes. I mean sure, SOME games might load up to 20% faster but if you did the same in a pc the difference would likely be much larger. It might be because the software is optimized for a slow drive and or because the cpu in the ps4 is very slow and limits the speed at which the console can load data.
For people who sold their ps4's & now regret selling it. I sold my ps4 Slim 1tb & do missing.... But, I enjoy my ps5 & Series-X, & Series-S... it's just something about the PS4 I miss... probably the Wall Screen.

I bought a PS5 and and sold my PS4 in the process, but then I noticed that all the PS5 games I've bought (digitally) had a PS4 version sitting in my game library, so i looked around on FB Market place and netted myself a PS4 Pro for $130, so now I have the PS5 on my 4K living room TV and a PS4 Pro on my bedroom TV and aside from a slightly extended load time I'm having pretty much the same experience and the cloud save lets me continue on both consoles
The PlayStation was originally supposed to be a Collab with Sony and nintendo but after a while nintendo wanted to get the credit so they quit the Collab of Sony as soon as they were gonna make the "Nintendo PlayStation" and then when Nintendo saw Sony succeeding with thre new products Nintendo decided to make there own console 2 years after the PlayStation was made named the Nintendo 64 (n64-1996) (ps1-1994).
Except that if you purchase a digital PS5 you might be able to purchase an external Blu-ray drive later on coz it's been rumoured that Sony might release a standalone PS5 compatible Blu-ray drive later this year.
they might to a internal blue drive that you can attach, sort of like how u can put a m.2 ssd in. But i doubt they will let the digital ps5 eb able to use the blue drive, only the slim model
even the argument of buying it for the controllers falls apart cause you can just... buy a brand new controller separatedly since they still sell those

The reason why there is produced PS4 Slim and not Pro, is because the price difference isnt enough minor between 4Pro and 5, that those who desperatly WANT to game on SOMETHING would rather go for PS5. So other words, PS4 is meant as budget machine. You might say that $300 is still too much, but the production didnt get any cheaper.

If I want a computer experience if I were a hardcore gamer I would go with a gaming PC not some hardware parading as home consoles when they are overpowered computers.
@@misterlexx2721 💀
Idk why they made lite , i'm a switch lover , im gonna get a oled real soon but i don't understand why they are still doing lite
Yes , cheaper and portable but the quality , space , battery , non conectable to the tv or joycons not being removable is a big no for me
@@No0neDude True. It was never considered when me and my wife were buying a Switch for our son's Christmas present for Christmas 2022. I love playing on tv docked and him too but love the convenience of playing on the go.
@@misterlexx2721 it's 10x funner when you dock your switch to the tv in an afternoon just relaxing and playing
Now i wanna can't wait to get mine lol
Playstation 2 sold well beyond its life cycle only ending the same year the playstation 4 was released thus at $99 price tag.
Releasing a ps4 pro would be competing with itself as both pro and ps5 are marketed as 4k consoles. It makes sense as ps4 is mostly marketed as 1080p gaming. Also u have to realise that u need 4k tv/monitor for ps5 and in most country 1080p is still standard.
True alot of people assume that 4K is now the norm everywhere when it's clearly not especially in poorer regions like Africa and alot of Asia
I wish Sony made a PS4 Pro Slim and sold that instead. Even if this can be brought brand new you can still get a PS4 Pro and have some extra money left over for an SSD.
Still making games for them and bought my PS4 back in 2019 after getting the $1,000 stimulus check as well the PS4 I have during that time kept ejecting the game when playing online games part of the time.
So I bought the new one and just sold the old one for about $125-50 I don't remember which the new is still working but the controller is been acting up lately.
And not just any game, it's literally getting a bunch of big name AAA games still in 2024. By that measure alone it is already having a longer relevant life than PS3 and PS2 ever did.
Yeah its a good take on the PS5 digital edition, but I wanted it way more then the disc one. The look of the digital edition is so much more symetrical and allround better looking? Maybe its my wierd OCD kicking in but when I saw disc edition I almost womited how that disc slot looks😂
Yeah the digital looks way cleaner
But the regular one has a wave patter when looked upon straight on so it has have parallel design yet it's a different vector formula. It's pretty neat.
Whats the point of fidelity mode if you got only 1080p TV? I thought fidelity more is for 4K. You would much more benefit from performance mode.
@@TheDaglers I was under the impression that fidelity is for higher graphic fidelity. Like textures and FoV for example not necessarily resolution
@@VRGamercz im used to 144 qnd 30fps still good
Bruh, why did you even get a Series X if you're fine with 1080p and 30fps. You should have gotten a Series S. The Series X is $500 because it's supposed to at least push towards 4K or 120fps.
I got one for $30 on Facebook marketplace lol 😂
Thats a really good deal!
I found an Xbox One Call of Duty Edition for $30 at a pawn shop too.
30$? Wtf
And heck, console isn't even really cheaper upfront if you build your PC yourself, and know how to shop for parts (especially if you go for used parts here and there.)
I play on PC, but my father plays on XBOX.
Nice inclusion of the guitar
It was cringe
@Iron Mane you're cringe, i bet u can't even play
I got a ps4 slim for like $299 i believe and it came with spider man 2018. Worth it to me.
As a pc user, the only thing i miss about consoles are the unboxing and the physical device itself. Glad I don’t have to deal with them anymore.
That's why I still have my PS4 Slim great console.
You have money to waste. If you have PS5 already why do you need Xbox series X? Same Generation. There are going to be a bunch of same game titles by 3rd party developers.
bought my ps4 slim at release and she still running really well when I fire her up from time to time, I of course also kept her clean the entire time so that's prolly another reason why she still running so good
They needed something to compete with the series s or try to 😂
2:34 me: using it to watch the vid
sold my slim got the next gen series s love it goodbye last gen.
I wish new consoles came with the headset sure it's cheap but it's great that it was included I guess PS5 has a microphone in the controller which is great but Xbox doesn't have anything like that
Chill video and honest I respect it 👍🏽
They are definitely making 90% profit
Yes a ps4 with a ssd installed is still a great platform
Got my PS4 slim back in 2016 when the PO was selling it after having it less than two weeks... He sold it to me for like 200 dollars and came with the GTAV and Uncharted 4.
Probably was all old stock but was just assembled, they probably just had loads of the parts
Me when he said 12yrs old w ps4 😧 mate I was about 19 or 20 when those came out.
Yeah for me I was like 12/13 when it dropped in 2013 crazy how time flys! 10 years ago this year in November the PS4 and Xbox One!
Dang I remember I was about 18 in 2013 close to graduating from school after that year. Crazy how my mind is blown I didn’t buy any new systems since I stuck with Xbox 360 for longer til slim came out I ended up buying on due to knowing Xbox one needed internet and I didn’t have a great one at the time.
I dont know but you remind me of Andrew Garfield 😂 the way of talking/accent and the tone(just slightly less base) but seriously you do remind me of him😂 Sorry
Loving the setup 💯💯
I bought a PS5 and and sold my PS4 in the process, but then I noticed that all the PS5 games I've bought (digitally) had a PS4 version sitting in my game library, so i looked around on FB Market place and netted myself a PS4 Pro for $130, so now I have the PS5 on my 4K living room TV and a PS4 Pro on my bedroom TV and aside from a slightly extended load time I'm having pretty much the same experience and the cloud save lets me continue on both consoles
I bought ps4 slim in 2019 for 230€ (250$)
9:26 look at that ps4 man.
Bought one to keep sealed and to sold in 10 years for 2,3 times the prices
the time i played horizon 2 on ps5 i was blown away when i drawed the bow, that was a crazy experiense
Got a ps5 for Christmas and have been loving it even with it only being on 60 fps on my 1080p 60hz tv
I was surprised to see these at Walmart in like July/August of last year.

I have a PS4 Slim but I want to get the Xbox Series X, I love your videos.❤
Except that if you purchase a digital PS5 you might be able to purchase an external Blu-ray drive later on coz it's been rumoured that Sony might release a standalone PS5 compatible Blu-ray drive later this year.
Not happening it's only going work on the new Digital Slim Edition not the launch models 😂😂
They are launching a PS5 slim. So they are selling the remaining hardware which is left with them.
It's probably gonna be $100 or more at that point buy the disc version
they might to a internal blue drive that you can attach, sort of like how u can put a m.2 ssd in. But i doubt they will let the digital ps5 eb able to use the blue drive, only the slim model
@@rpvpradeep no they're not

It is the cheapest to make, probably cost 88 bucks to make
I'm surprised these aren't selling at $200 new
I bet that Playstation is trying to get rid of the PS4 systems with having COD MW II ad on the front of the box to make room for PS5
even the argument of buying it for the controllers falls apart cause you can just... buy a brand new controller separatedly since they still sell those
I have both PS3 and PS4 consoles and i somehow still love playing on the ps3 with my siblings! it's been 10 years since i bought it and Black ops II Zombies mode is still so fun! and of course you can play online for free even tho there's barely anyone still playing it

8:40 Is it "ploblem" or "problem"? 🤣
Daaamn, I paid £80 for my ps4 slim 😅
I paid 330 in 2020 lmao
Is this some Cyberpunk Harry Potter?
The reason why there is produced PS4 Slim and not Pro, is because the price difference isnt enough minor between 4Pro and 5, that those who desperatly WANT to game on SOMETHING would rather go for PS5. So other words, PS4 is meant as budget machine. You might say that $300 is still too much, but the production didnt get any cheaper.
Got my PS4 slim about six years ago and got it on sale for $275.00 new (Canadian currency), no games included, though I picked up Doom (2016) & Ratchet & Clank (movie game) used and a 1 month subscription for PSN (until I got paid, so I could get a 12 month subscription). Still have my PS4 Slim (not buying a PS5 anytime soon).
My country has enormous importation taxes, so the digital games are cheaper 99% of the time here 😂😂😫😫
How did you play uncharted in 8k what’s your setup from pc parts to monitor
Me gaming on my 5 to 6 year ps4 on a 65 inch tv
Picked up a ps4 pro for less then what I paid for a ps3 in 2023💀 my biggest steal this year was a $15 white ps2 🫡
I just got a used PS4 Pro for like $99. Put a 2TB SSD in it, replaced the thermal pads and paste and it runs great. I was going to get a PS5, but I just can't justify the price when all the exclusives eventually end up on PC, cross-gen with PS4, or just aren't worth it.
Why on earth did you replace the pads and paste?? Its a console, just take good care of it and it will last simple!
@@tonyoverstill7587 Just because I take good care of it, doesn't mean the person I got it from took good care of it. Seeing as how the warranty stickers were missing I knew I wasn't the first person to open this console.
The pads themselves were falling apart and covered in dirt. The thermal paste application was not that well done.
Ironically, performing maintenance and cleaning a console is taking good care of it because now I don't have to do it again for a long time.
