actually sitting here with a broken rib when my horse jumped into a tree, I feel less of a fool watching these great riders fall just the way I did.....falls are just part of riding... .
Yup...if you ride...you are going to have spills/falls & flat out crashes, especially if you’re jumping! I rode my entire life (5yrs old to 34 yrs) until I had a back injury...unrelated to riding! So hey, I am with all of these riders...every stride. (Never had the tree problem tho...bit close, but no)🥀
0:40 loads of people are saying this is abuse or some shit, this is a hunter trial- which means it’s just a cross country course- fastest or closest to optimum time wins. these people are wearing the red bib which means it’s happy hackers. happy hackers can just cruise around the course out of competition and school their horses. so that means these are most likely young un-experienced horses. the red bib should be in front so i’m guessing this fella was taking a chance to see if his horse would take the lead. a lot of people go in pairs so their horses can help each other around. so no this is not horse racing and no they’re not bad riders
I love horse sports but not this kind. In some accidents you can see the second horse fall or trip because it can't see what is going on because of the rider right in front of him. It's dangerous and irresponsible. And maybe they should train their horses first in a slow way than like this. Never saw this here and I probably never will.
Saartje de Hond every sport is somewhat dangerous that’s just sports especially horse ridding. I guarantee you these horse have to have been doing months of training to be able to go out. there has to be a first for everything

Most likely the tree got into the horses blind spot, and\or was looking at something in the distance and didn’t even notice the tree.
