Nissan has been doing much better in reliability since the company has been liquidating Renaults ownership. Japan has taken over at the top levels. They’re not outsourcing their CVT anymore
I have a Nissan Altima hit the dash mark on the shifter and it unlocks the Altima into sportz mode there try it and be amazed trust me if you have an Altima TRY IT it will say Ds on the dash that means your in sports mode
This car is my dream car, it's a shame that here in Brazil it's impossible to have one, because here it would cost at least R$400 thousand (US$75 thousand) if it existed here.
It is a perfect car for someone who is going to beat on it going to work and back for a few years and turn it it for another lease. Not something you want to buy for long term ownership.
SR alone does not mean "Trick Engine" under the hood. it's a Turbo SR, that's where the Trick Engine comes in. SRs start with a 2.5L engine, the Turbo SR is a 2.0L Turbo.
I was a Nissan hater because of its stereotypes, etc but I recently got my wife one and it’s amazing. Honestly the quiet cabin and ride comfort matches the 2021 ES350 I had previously. Even putting your windows up and down has no motor noise at all like luxury cars (plus dual pane glass). It might have outdated interior but I’m more of comfort and quietness guy. I had many cars from 2023 CX9 , 2022 blazer, 2018 Camry, Lexus, 2021 camaro , and ID4 now. very satisfied with Altima. Some cons would be 140p webcam backup camera and halogen interior lights lol .
It’s a pretty car on the outside, but that’s about it. The interior has extremely cheap fake-feeling leather, the screen resolution is horrible and laggy. I used to like Nissans but when I started driving a lot of them I can’t stand them now.
4:33 can’t really compare the 2023 Honda Accord to the current Altima being that the Accord is BRAND NEW and the Altima is a refresh. The 2018-2022 Honda Accord had hand touch plastic in the same areas as the Altima.
@@Chris_really_ nah bro it's a heavy refresh but it's the same platform. Just look at the side profile of the 2025 vs the 2024 and you'll see it's virtually identical. Wheelbase is identical down to the millimeter. Interior space identical to the millimeter because.. it's not all new. Shell is the same too. What they changed is the front and rear fascia. If I'm not mistaken you could probably bolt on the '24 doors right on the '25. But three drivetrain is all new and the interior too
@@JamaicanMeCrazy well yeah technically it’s a heavy “refresh” because the side profile is basically the same and the shape BUT since it’s a new generation it’s a redesign
I have owned a 2015 SV, and currently own a 2018 SL. Looking at at 2024 SR. But the MSRP is stupid high. Way inflated. The whole market is like that but that may be changing as we speak.
Annoyed at how much you got just wrong about the car. The engine is 2.0L not 2.5 and it's in the VC Turbo SR only, not all SRs,, the feature on the steering wheel is the Pro-Pilot feature, safety shield is just the safety features, etc. Lots of tiny complaints and glossing over what the car does well is rather suspect.
Traditional gauges are good! I like them better then that digital bs....plus if a digital gauge ever goes out you can't see anything and believe me it will happen! Plus Digital gauges look like shit in most cars! So Nissan gets big points from me for there gauges!
Drove a SV trim as a rental. This is the most uninspiring vehicle I've ever driven. Feels ultra cheap, doesn't ride particularly comfortably and the materials feel like they were pulled right out from the budget bin. The CVT makes the engine loudly drone under load and the vehicle feels more sluggish than a 2011 Corolla we once owned. For a brand that advertises 'performance' and 'sportiness', this thing is an embarrassment.

I'd rather have just about any other sedan than have to live with the stigma of being an Altima driver. Probably take a Subaru Legacy for its truly great, luxury class seats (in Limited and Touring XT trim) and get AWD as a bonus.
Although it might not be up to 2024 standards in technology, in my opinion, it is the best-looking car from its competitors.
