I strongly disagree with you. Honda's reliability has been bad for so many years now. I've owned an Altima since 2009 and it still drives awesome to this day. This new Accord looks horrible. All it has is its bigger size advantage.

Nissan had 5 years of cvt issues and replaced every last one of them. Ask the Honda owners about the 1.5t coolant leaks causing the engines to grenade at 60k miles lots of unhappy people with the new turbo Hondas. Or the 2.0 in the civics how many of them had the rings fail causing extreme oil consumption and engine failure. Hondas aren’t the same like they used to be. Nissan has really fixed their cvts and they’re some of the best in the Industry right now

Honda all day as far as expectations on having the potential to hit 200,000 miles+
And, depreciating at much slower pace than the Altima
Yeah, shiner looks, buttons etc... but with that CVT, you're really rolling the dice to get much past 100,000...
Way worth it to pony the extra $ for a Honda or a Toyota...

Accord all day everyday - Altima is antiquated and one of the worst vehicles I owned when I bought one brand new in 2007 that stayed in the dealer’s shop for recalls and a major brake system failure that caused an accident. - Besides, the new Accord to me is the top 3 best looking Accord with the ‘87 LX-i and short-run ‘06/‘07 model. The last gen was hideous but they’ve definitely made it look more “upscale” w/its refreshed aesthetics inside and out.

Look y’all, I recently sold my 07 Altima Hybrid. Amazing gas mileage. Why did I sell it? I’m not sure, I guess I wanted something new. The Altima has already reached about 218k miles. I wanted to keep the tradition going, I really wanted to get the new Altima as I really do like it. Well designed, best seating comfort in its class by far. But, I went with the 24’ Accord Hybrid Sport only because of the Hybrid system. If Nissan still made a hybrid Altima it’d be a no brained but unfortunately I’m not sure why they don’t considering all competition offers a hybrid. I Dunno. I like all wheel drive. I'd go with Honda, had one in TX. And anyone who has driven in TX knows you go with the flow or get run over or shot. First thing you learn is nice drivers get killed. 2nd thing you learn is, if they are going 105 mph, you go 105 mph. And lastly never ever look at another driver. Honda, I had would jump, and coming out of your exit fast and faster was a must have. Honda makes a really nice, dependable ride. And I'd rather have nice and ""Dependable""" any day over sporty or flashy or mud bogging ...!!! Dependable was my Honda never had #1 single problem out of it. Ever...!!! It was always ready to go. Day or night. Always got me from point A to point B. Never had it in a shop for repairs or recalls. I'm wanting one now, but it has to be all wheel or can't do it. I'll be trading in my 2022 Jeep Wrangler. Eco-diesel. I love the jeep, but it has a few things. Mid-life crisis made me buy it. Going to hurt trading it in. But I'm not a kid anymore. And at 6'5 my head hits the roof every bump. Had to have it though. We already have a 2023 Subaru Outback wagon. So, a nice coup or something would be better. We live in the country and our driveway is a 1/4-mile-long gravel road. All our roads are gravel. And winter comes without all wheel or 4 wheels, you're screwed. We have to get out. I Dunno. Ground clearance is going to be an issue as well. I hate trucks. Had #3 trucks through the years waste of good money, unless you're hauling pigs every day. Ford rode like a buck-board wagon.

Although Honda seriously diluted the Accord with this generation(specifically killing the excellent 2.0T/10AT combo), in this comparo...there just is no comparison. The Honda will first and foremost retain value much better, as well as have better safety ratings. The fuel economy is superior, as is the interior and trunk packaging(although the cloth choice here is a step back from the 18-22 Accord Sport seating).
The Altima is an older design, but it is only a refresh(and transmission) away from being back in the game.

Not sure comparing a redesign and new tech is exactly useful. Maybe the Altima and Camry ice, or Accord and Camry hybrid would be a good idea. How about legacy sport XL and the Altima VC turbo. Yea!!

6:12 The Honda doesn’t have shifters. Those paddles on the steering wheel allow you to increase or decrease the amount of regenerative breaking.

Both are fairly good choice’s but I’m a Honda person all the way! I like the Altima it’s got the looks of like the sporty maxima stance to it. But the Honda would last the longest I think!

Its easy for me to compare these two. I have both at my house in the same exact colors ironically., the altima rides smoother but thats where it ends for me, the accord has better looks. Handling, and seat comfort. I prefer cloth, i also prefer the more mature look of the honda.

There is not much wow factor to a Honda but there sure is to this Altima SR priced right and a looker that will last as long if not longer then the real high end sedan cars styling they nailed it.

Auto/dual zone climate control should at the very least be optional on the Altima SV and SR, crazy that you have to get a 2.0 SR or SL to get it.

I tried both of them as rentals but in the lower trims the Altima SV and the Accord EX. And I’ve got to say I preferred the Altima in everything seat comfort, Ride, Cabin Quietness plus the infotainment display on the non hybrid Accord is a joke probably the worst display out in the market right now. Shame tbh but based on my experience I would prefer the Altima. Not sure if the Accord hybrid is any different.

I'd owned several Nissan's in the past. The last one was a V6 Altima 8 years ago. It was the first Nissan that felt cheaply slapped together. Love the brand, but it feels like it's just a cheap fleet vehicle these days...especially the Altima brand. It's easier a rental or looks twice it's age as somebody is running it into the ground. Will never buy one again.

I love the sound decibel test. No one else does it. Many of us want to drive in peace or listen to talk radio or classical music when driving. A quiet interior matters. For me, the problem with both of these cars is that they are NOT midsize. They are whales. Cars these days are unnecessarily huge and even though large they're so much interior plastic that they are still not very roomy. Also, on both the Accord and Altima I hate the cheap plastic infotainment screens plopped into the dash.
