I've been a dialysis patient for 8 years now, desperately trying to stay on the donors' list and get my kidney transplant, but up until now I could compare it to a bull ride. Well, things must eventually get back to normal :) Please, watch your meat and red fruit and veg intake. These are full of potassium, it also apllies to mushrooms of any kind and cabbage. And drink plenty of water-it actually lowers the potassium levels as it flushes it away, so to say. Really hope you'll be ok. Take care

Currently, there are approx.1,2k successful operations each year and about 2k patients waiting, so it's not bad at all. The most difficult thing though is to stay afloat-be well and ready at all times

Starting 6 months ago I am now having to control water intake due to high potassium. As you age you just run into more complications.

😟My first cousin waited for quite a while for a kidney transplant. Finally got one. I never eat red meat. I like it cooked well.
